49ers rookie shot in chest during robbery

Ricky Pearsall was shot during an attempted robbery on Saturday.

According to multiple reports, San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was shot on Saturday. According to the San Francisco police department via SF reporter Sean Cunningham, Pearsall was shot through the chest during a robbery attempt over a Rolex.

The report indicates Pearsall is currently stable at San Francisco General Hospital. The former Florida Gators star was selected by San Francisco in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft with the No. 31 overall pick.

Pearsall had missed almost the entire preseason with a shoulder injury and was on the NFI list. He figured to work in as the team’s third wide receiver and was selected as insurance in case starter Brandon Aiyuk didn’t sign a contract.

Collin Morikawa Q&A: On Tiger welcoming him to the ‘major club,’ his unfamiliarity with Oak Hill, and life with his wife Katherine

“Tiger came up to me and said ‘Welcome to the Major Club,’ and I got chills just from hearing that.”

[lawrence-newsletter]While he’s yet to win this season, Collin Morikawa has been mighty close on numerous occasions, posting five top-10 finishes, including a runner-up showing at the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

Can he get back into the winner’s circle this year? And if so, will he do it at a major?

It’s not like Morikawa hasn’t done this before — he’s taken home a pair of major championships in his five PGA Tour victories. The California native captured the 2020 PGA Championship at TPC Harding Park and then raised the Claret Jug after winning the 2021 Open Championship at Royal St. George’s Golf Club.

In advance of this year’s PGA Championship at Oak Hill in Rochester, Morikawa, who became a Rolex ambassador this year, answered a number of questions through his partnership with Rolex, including those about life with wife Katherine, and his lack of knowledge about the next major venue.

International captain Trevor Immelman gives each member of his Presidents Cup team a Rolex

No way anyone on the Internationals misses his tee time with one of these bad boys.

We’re less than 24 hours away from the start of the 2022 Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The all-time record stands at 11-1-1 in favor of the United States. The Internationals are still searching for their first win on foreign soil.

The five matches for Thursday have been announced, the first one being Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay facing off against Hideki Matsuyama and Adam Scott.

Sending out a pair of International team veterans wasn’t the only thing captain Trevor Immelman did for his squad Wednesday.

He presented them all with one hell of a gift: custom-made Rolex watches.
