The 6-foot-2, 212-pound wide receiver is from Oxford High School in Oxford, Alabama.

Taylor confirmed to Vols Wire on Tuesday that his scholarship offer to Tennessee has been pulled.

Josh Heupel was hired as Tennessee’s head coach on Jan. 27, replacing Jeremy Pruitt who was fired for cause.

Pruitt and the Vols offered Taylor in Nov. 2019.

Tennessee parting ways with Taylor comes one day before national signing day on Feb. 3.

Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss’ coaching staff offered Taylor on Jan. 20.

Despite its recent four-game losing streak, Tennessee currently has the No. 10 recruiting class in the 2021 cycle according to the 247Sports Composite.

The Vols have the fifth-rated class in the Southeastern Conference, highlighted by several key players. Many of these players have been in action and are wrapping up their high school football seasons in the playoffs, however, some are in the midst of the regular season or are not playing due to COVID-19.

Vols’ 2021 commitment tracker

The University of Tennessee picked up a commitment for its 2021 recruiting class on Friday.

Roc Taylor, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound wide receiver from Oxford High School in Oxford, Ala. made his announcement to the Vols on Twitter.

Taylor attend Junior Day at Tennessee on March 7 and was initially offered by the Vols on Nov. 30.

He has Power 5 offers from Arkansas, Florida, Georgia Tech and South Carolina.

Taylor is the Vols’ tenth known commitment to the 2021 recruiting class. The 2021 prospect is also the third commitment since the NCAA suspended all in-person recruiting in March.
