Georgia Tech offers Tennessee running back commit

Georgia Tech offers Tennessee running back commit.

Tennessee will have to hold off other Power 5 programs during the recruitment of Chattanooga running back Elijah Howard.

The 3-star product from Baylor School is a longtime Tennessee commit, rated the No. 47 running back in the country on the 247Sports Composite. At 5-foot-11, 183-pounds, Howard brings a blend of speed, physicality and elusiveness to the backfield.

Tennessee offensive coordinator Jim Chaney is Howard’s primary recruiter, and already has to hold off offers from the likes of Mississippi State, Purdue and Virginia.

As Tennessee loses senior running backs Ty Chandler and Tim Jordan after the 2020 season, Howard will be a priority down the stretch as the only running back currently committed to the 2021 class.
