The SEC Network commentators have been set for the Georgia Bulldogs at South Carolina Gamecocks football game. The 7:30 p.m. night game will be hosted from Columbia, South Carolina.
Former Georgia Bulldog star offensive lineman Matt Stinchcomb will be on the call as an analyst along with play-by-play announcer Taylor Zarzour. Alyssa Lang will be the SEC Network sideline reporter for the SEC rivalry game.
Interestingly, Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs will be facing former Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo, who is South Carolina’s interim coach. The Gamecocks fired head coach Will Muschamp midway through the season when it became clear that it was another disappointing year for South Carolina. Muschamp will still be interested in the game because his son is a walk-on at the University of Georgia.
Following Muschamp’s dismissal, several South Carolina players have opted out of the remaining games this year. Linebacker/safety RJ Roderick, defensive tackle Makius Scott, cornerback Jaycee Horn, and cornerback Israel Mukuamu all opted out for the Gamecocks.
Israel Mukuamu was an absolute nightmare for Georgia last season. He intercepted Jake Fromm three times and returned one of them for a touchdown last. His performance helped South Carolina pull of an upset victory in Athens. Georgia will try to avenge last year’s defeat, which was the last time the Bulldogs lost at home.
