WWE Raw preview – Monday, April 10, Climate Pledge Arena, Seattle

It’s interesting that Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were in the Fatal 4-way tag team match at WrestleMania, lost, and now … are getting a shot at the titles. It’s not just us, right?

That’s exactly what’s happening this week on Raw. Becky Lynch and Lita (and especially Becky) seem to have put Damage CTRL behind them, and will now get down to the business of defending their titles. We’ll see if they can walk out of Seattle still the champs.

Cody Rhodes was all set to continue his quest to dethrone Roman Reigns, even looking like he got a new ally against the Bloodline in Brock Lesnar. That turned out to be fool’s gold when Lesnar attacked him instead of teaming with him, so the American Dream will appear on Raw to reveal his next move.

And Matt Riddle will return to in-ring action for the first time in months. His opponent will be The Miz, who seems like he’s be a challenge, but considering he lost WrestleMania matches to both Pat McAfee and Snoop Dogg, it’s fair to say the A-Lister isn’t exactly on a roll right now.

AEW Dynamite preview – Wednesday, April 12, UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, Milwaukee

The irony of Orange Cassidy being the King of Sloth Style and then defending his title darn near every episode of AEW programming never ceases to amaze us. He’ll do it again in Milwaukee, this time trying to stop the House of Black’s Buddy Matthews from becoming a double champ.

Chris Jericho knows more than his fair share about gold, though there’s no titles on the line for his match against Keith Lee. Just, you know, Lee is a very big man who might do some real damage to him, so there’s that.

After merging his Mogul Affiliates with The Embassy, you might think Swerve Strickland has more than enough hands available to do his dirty work. But he’s still willing to take care of matters himself when needed, which is why Swerve will step in against Darby Allin in Milwaukee.

WWE SmackDown preview – Friday, April 14, Pinnacle Bank Arena, Lincoln, NE

SmackDown rolls into Lincoln this week with a man in action that somehow didn’t get to perform at WrestleMania, LA Knight. Maybe he should change his name to Lincoln Knight. Actually, that’s a horrible idea, but he will be wrestling under his current name this Friday against Xavier Woods. Yeah!

Also on tap is the return of Shinsuke Nakaumura. There have been whispers of WWE planning on giving him a big push, but those have popped up before and usually not led to much. It will be good to see Shinsuke back, regardless.

AEW Rampage preview – Friday, April 14, UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, Milwaukee (recorded April 12)

Hey, hey, hey, what do you say? We say AEW hasn’t announced any matches for this week’s edition of Rampage just yet, so we can’t tell you what to expect.

We can advise you keep an eye on AEW’s social media accounts and Dynamite to find out.

WWE Raw After WrestleMania results: One Beast of a surprise for Cody Rhodes

If there’s ever an episode of its flagship show that WWE wants to play close to the vest, the Raw After WrestleMania is it. On the heels of an eventful and emotional two-night WrestleMania at SoFi Stadium, the scene shifts to Crypto.com Arena for tonight’s show.

And it promises to be more packed than usual, because WWE announced that the first hour will be commercial-free. Will we see NXT promotions? Stars returning after long absences? A certain Catalyst, perhaps? We’ll have to wait and see.

WWE has literally said nothing else about what to expect, so let’s do some speculation. First and foremost, there’s the matter of Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare went into WrestleMania confident and with the vast majority of the WWE Universe behind him to achieve his destiny … and lost.

Since it took the entire Bloodline to defeat him, maybe Rhodes isn’t completely crestfallen. But he’ll have to pick himself up and try to move forward, and that likely starts tonight.

Bianca Belair had a more successful outing on Sunday night, turning away a tough challenge from Asuka to remain the Raw Women’s Champion. We could learn what’s next for The EST of WWE in L.A. as well.

Plus we know Bad Bunny will be on hand tonight. The music superstar played a small but pivotal role on night 1 of WrestleMania, preventing Dominik Mysterio from using a chain on his father. Bad Bunny will be the host of Backlash, the next WWE premium live event, but perhaps there’s even more in store for him on Raw.

There’s bound to be much more, but just like you, we’re going to have to watch to see exactly what it is. That means tuning to USA at 8 p.m. ET (and getting all your bathroom breaks in ahead of time, thanks to the no commercials) or keeping it locked here at Wrestling Junkie for us to hit you with live Raw After WrestleMania results all evening.

WrestleMania 39 results: Ronda Rousey barely breaks a sweat while winning WrestleMania Showcase

See how the winning team emerged from the Women’s WrestleMania Showcase tag team match on night 2.

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Sadly no tanks for Shotzi, so the most interesting ring walk is made by Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler in their respective gis.

Liv Morgan wants to work this one at a breakneck pace, but she ends up needing to tag in her partner for some double team offense on Natalya. After getting a taste of Raquel’s partner, Nattie tags Chelsea Green, who finds a missile dropkick doesn’t even budge Rodriguez.

Shotzi tags herself in for a two count on Green. But her prospects worsen quickly as Rousey menaces her on the floor. Everyone but Ronda and Shayna get into it, and Shotzi launches herself into a cross body on Sonya Devilel and Green. A suicide dive by Shotzi also finds the mark, as does Green’s dive to the floor. Rodriguez picks up her partner and hurls Morgan onto everyone but Rousey and Baszler.

Rodriguez hits a fallaway slam on Shotzi and a corkscrew elbow, but Deville tags herself in, and she and Green double team Rodriguez. Deville and Green spend a little too long celebrating and get laid out by Shotzi and Natalya, who gets her team a two count.

Natalya ends up getting both Deville and Green in the Sharpshooter at once, which the crowd enjoys, but Morgan ends up breaking up the hold. Liv is now legal to face Shotzi, and Morgan ends up hitting Oblivion. Amidst the chaos, Shayna and then Ronda tag in, and Rousey quickly gets a tapout with an armbar on Shotzi.

WWE SmackDown results: Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens finally rediscover their friendship

Live WWE SmackDown results for March 17 from Kansas City, featuring a face-to-face showdown between Sami Zayn and Jey Uso.

Kansas City is the home of champions, like the Chiefs. For WWE SmackDown this week, it’s also going to be home to another champion and a gentleman who wants to know more about exactly what’s in his heart.

The champ in question is Jey Uso, holder of one-half of both of WWE’s men’s tag team titles. Over the course of the last 10 months, it looked like Jey was coming around on Sami Zayn, sticking up for him when no one else would despite some heavy initial skepticism.

But considering how Jey laid out Sami just when it looked like their bond might overcome Uso’s familial ties, perhaps he was just playing the long game all along. That’s undoubtedly what Zayn will attempt to find out when the two men come face to face at the T-Mobile Center.

A confrontation of a decidedly more straightforwardly physical kind is also on tap for this Friday night. Adam Pearce attempted to find Gunther a WrestleMania opponent last week, but was foiled when both Sheamus and Drew McIntyre pinned people at the exact same instant. The enemies turned friends turned rivals again will attempt to settle things in the ring in Kansas City for a shot at the Ring General’s Intercontinental Championship in Los Angeles.

(Though considering many still expect that to be a Triple Threat match, be on guard for more hijinks on SmackDown.)

Last but certainly not least, Cody Rhodes usually calls Raw home, but since he’s got a date with destiny at WrestleMania, it behooves him to show up as often as possible on WWE TV. He’ll be on hand tonight as well, and the Bloodline will have to watch out for him.

Opening Bell: Survivor Series WarGames beckons, AEW finds a contender for MJF

WWE Raw preview – Monday, November 21, MVP Arena, Albany, NY

Before you dig into your turkey and stuffing or other foods of choice this week, there’s business to take care of on Raw. The women’s WarGames teams are set for Survivor Series, but which side will have the advantage is up for grabs on Monday in Albany.

To settle that important question, Asuka will take on Rhea Ripley. The winner will get a numerical advantage every few minutes during WarGames, so both Team Bianca Belair and Team Damage CTRL will be watching anxiously (and perhaps even intervening) to see who comes out on top.

And that’s all WWE has officially revealed for this week’s show so far. Considering Survivor Series WarGames only has four matches announced and the women’s match still has one participant yet to be revealed, smart money suggests we’ll get some answers on Monday night.

AEW Dynamite preview – Wednesday, November 23, Wintrust Arena, Chicago

AEW is headed back to one of its homes away from home, the Windy City, for the pre-Thanksgiving episode of Dynamite. The biggest thing on the card is determining a No. 1 contender for MJF, who you may have heard is now the AEW World Champion following Full Gear. Ethan Page and Ricky Starks will wrestle for that honor in the final of a tournament that’s been going for a few weeks.

But the show is pretty loaded beyond that. The Elite and Death Triangle tore it down at Full Gear, where it was revealed they’re going to do it again … and again and again, in a best-of-7 series for the AEW World Trios Championship. Match two takes place Wednesday on Dynamite.

Chris Jericho is still The Ocho, but he’ll get a formidable challenge for his ROH World Championship from Tomohiro Ishii of NJPW. And Orange Cassidy, who’s been putting his All-Atlantic Championship on the line regularly, will face perhaps his physically biggest test as champ in the form of Jake Hager (and his purple bucket hat).

A good night of wrestling before turkey? It sounds like it.

AEW Rampage preview – Friday, November 25, Wintrust Arena, Chicago (recorded on November 23)

We still don’t know much about what AEW has planned for Rampage this holiday week, but we do know one thing: It’s not going to be on at 10 p.m. ET like usual.

Nope, Rampage is moving earlier, much earlier, for this pre-taped show from the Chi. It will air at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT on TNT. So … just be thankful for some afternoon wrestling, we suppose.

WWE SmackDown preview – Friday, November 25, Amica Mutual Pavilion, Providence, RI

We’re bummed this venue is no longer the Dunkin’ Donuts Center, even though we’re sure the folks at Amica Mutual are lovely. It’s unusual to know much more about the SmackDown card than the Raw card on a Monday, but that’s exactly the case here for this big show on the night before Survivor Series.

The men’s WarGames advantage will be up for grabs in a tag team match between the undisputed champs, The Usos, and the brothers from another mother, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre. It would certainly help the Brawling Brutes and company if they can gain an edge over the Bloodline.

Speaking of the Brutes, another one of their own, Butch, is still alive in the SmackDown World Cup, and will take on Santos Escobar Friday in one semifinal. The other semifinal will also take place in Providence, when Ricochet goes up against Braun Strowman.

Last but certainly not least, Shotzi and Ronda Rousey continue to circle each other ahead of their title match at Survivor Series WarGames. They’ll meet in a tag team match Friday, with Shotzi teaming with Raquel Rodriguez while Rousey calls upon her BFF, Shayna Baszler.

You’ll be all shopped out by Black Friday night anyway, so this is the best possible way to end Thanksgiving week.

Opening Bell: AEW gold on the line on Tuesday, Brock returns to Raw

WWE Raw preview – Monday, October 17, Paycom Center, Oklahoma City

What does Brock Lesnar want? That’s a valid question after the Beast Incarnate showed up unexpectedly on Raw last week and destroyed Bobby Lashley. We should get more insight into what he’s got his sights set on now when he appears live this week in OKC.

The beneficiary of Lesnar’s attack was Seth Rollins, who defeated an injured Lashley to become the new United States Champion. He’ll get little time to enjoy it, however, as he has to defend it against heated rival Matt Riddle on Raw.

Dexter Lumis has popped up more than once without warning to torment The Miz, despite not having a WWE contract. That could change after Raw, as the two men will finally go head to head in an official match, with Lumis earning a deal if he wins.

AEW Dynamite preview – Tuesday, October 18, Heritage Bank Center, Cincinnati

The MLB Playoffs have claimed TBS for this Wednesday evening, so Dynamite is taking over Tuesday night instead. And it’s from the hometown of AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, but he’s not going to have a restful stay at home considering he’s defending his title against Hangman Adam Page.

But wait, that’s only the first of four, yes four, championship matches scheduled for Dynamite. In what should be a respectful yet fierce encounter, Toni Storm puts her AEW Women’s World Championship on the line against Hikaru Shida. The Ocho, Chris Jericho, will try to fend off a ROH World Championship challenge from Dalton Castle. And the Trios titles will also be up for grabs as Death Triangle defends against Best Friends and Orange Cassidy.

Phew. That is a loaded card, and we’ll also hear from MJF. Fans definitely won’t want to forget Dynamite is on a different night this week.

WWE SmackDown preview – Friday, October 21, Huntington Center, Toledo, OH

Maybe Ohio is the pro wrestling center of the world for this week, as SmackDown heads to Toledo. We already know there will be a championship match on the card, as the Damage CTRL duo of Dakota Kai and IYO SKY tries to retain their titles against Shotzi and Raquel Rodriguez.

A former champion will also be in action, as Liv Morgan faces off with Sonya Deville. Liv’s Extreme Rules confrontation with Ronda Rousey seems to have changed her for good, but is it a change for the better?

Logan Paul is also scheduled to appear on SmackDown, plus it would be strange if Bray Wyatt didn’t show up as well.

AEW Rampage preview – Friday, October 21, Daily’s Place, Jacksonville, FL

Rampage is back in the spiritual home of AEW, Daily’s Place, with a couple of matches already announced. Hook is a man of few words, but he’ll try to let his actions speak for themselves as he defends his FTW Championship against Ari Daivari following Daivari’s unsuccessful attempt to simply buy the title from its holder.

And 10 of the Dark Order has been the subject of numerous recruiting efforts from Jose The Assistant. He’ll try to end them for good by battling Rush, because if 10 wins, Jose must leave him alone going forward.

Opening Bell: Stretch run toward Clash at the Castle, All Out

WWE Raw preview – Monday, Aug. 29, PPG Paints Arena

The final live WWE show before Clash at the Castle (because SmackDown was taped last week, since everyone is traveling to Wales) is unsurprisingly loaded. The card starts with the crowning of new Women’s Tag Team Champions, as Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah collide with Dakota Kai and IYO SKY.

Bobby Lashley and The Miz will also do battle on Monday night, but there’s a story to tell first since Miz was dragged into … um, wherever by Dexter Lumis last week. Is he any the worse for wear? And how exactly did he escape? Hopefully there’s a fun story in there somewhere.

Also on the slate for this week’s Raw:

  • Hall of Famer Kurt Angle makes an appearance in his hometown
  • The Usos and Sami Zayn visit from SmackDown to represent the Bloodline (yes, Sami too)
  • Riddle and Seth Rollins have one final face-to-face before Clash at the Castle and it’s likely to result in fisticuffs

AEW Dynamite preview – Wednesday, Aug. 31, NOW Arena, Chicago

Hey, what do you know, AEW has a big event this weekend as well, so Dynamite is also a pretty stacked show as a result. The World Trios Championship tournament will have its Dynamite final (or as it’s better known more generally, the tourney semifinal) when Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks take on Will Ospreay and Aussie Open of the United Empire. Get your popcorn ready, as the great American philosopher Terrell Owens once said.

Also of interest is a tag team match pitting Toni Storm and Hikaru Shida against Dr. Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter. You may recognize those women as the four who will compete at All Out for the interim AEW Women’s Championship.

AEW Rampage preview – Friday, Sept. 2, NOW Arena, Chicago

In a bit of role reversal, Rampage is live this week while SmackDown is recorded. That means it should be a sweet hour of TV even though AEW has so far not said much about what to expect yet.

One match we feel confident will take place is the other semifinal of the World Trios Tournament. The two teams left on the Rampage side of the bracket are Dark Order, after they upset House of Black, and Best Friends. Expect to see them compete this Friday for the right to challenge for the inaugural championship on Sunday.

WWE Raw preview – Monday, Aug. 22, Scotiabank Arena, Toronto

It’s a big homecoming episode of Raw in front of what’s being reported as a legitimate sellout crowd in Toronto. Edge has vowed to kill what he created in The Judgment Day, but Damian Priest isn’t about to let him accomplish that goal easily. Priest says he’ll take on the hometown guy by himself, but it’s hard to imagine there won’t be some kind of hijinks from the heel stable.

Trish Stratus is another legendary local product of the Toronto area, and she’s making a return to Raw this week as well. WWE hasn’t teased much about what she’s doing except to say that she’s appearing, but even if she’s just there to say hi and thank the fans, you know she’ll get a warm welcome.

The Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament continues this week as well. Alexa Bliss and Asuka have to be among the favorites, but Dakota Kai and IYO SKY are getting a nice push. On top of that, reports say another change to the bracket is in the works, so this could be where it takes place.

AEW Dynamite preview – Wednesday, Aug. 24, Wolstein Center, Cleveland

Thought you’d have to wait until All Out to see CM Punk and Jon Moxley unify the AEW World Championship? So did we, and then last week happened. Now the two men will meet to determine who is the “real” champ going forward, with all kinds of possibilities for All Out depending on who emerges with the gold.

Also on the slate for this Wednesday:

  • The World Trios Championship tournament continues with Death Triangle facing NJPW’s Will Ospreay and Aussie Open.
  • Dax Harwood takes on Jay Lethal.
  • Dr. Britt Baker steps in against KiLynn King.
  • Billy Gunn does some tough parenting by facing Colten Gunn.
  • Ricky Starks speaks.

WWE SmackDown preview – Friday, Aug. 26, Little Caesars Arena, Detroit

Though there are bound to be more big matches added and announced on Raw, what WWE has already revealed for Detroit looks sweet. The second Women’s Tag Team Tournament semifinal will go down between Toxic Attraction and the face duo of Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah, but again, there are reports that a change will need to be made that could affect this matchup.

Neither Ricochet nor Happy Corbin advanced from the Fatal 5-Way last week to challenge Gunther at Clash at the Castle, so they’ll be looking to right the ship against each other this Friday night on SmackDown.

AEW Rampage preview – Friday, Aug. 26, Wolstein Center, Cleveland (taped on Aug. 24)

Last in the week but certainly trying not to be least, Rampage will undoubtedly be dealing with some of the fallout from Dynamite. But we also know of two matches already announced, including a title bout as Claudio Castagnoli defends his ROH World Championship against Dustin Rhodes.

The trios title tourney will continue as well, with House of Black in action against Dark Order. Can Hangman Adam Page inspire his friends to what most would consider an upset victory? We’ll find out Friday.

As the last days of summer tick away, things are staying hot in WWE. SmackDown rolls into Raleigh this week to try to keep the flames on, featuring an Intercontinental Championship Match between Gunther and Shinsuke Nakamura that figures to be the night’s main event.

That’s far from all WWE has advertised, however. SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan has a new challenger in the form of Shayna Baszler, but they need to make their title bout at Clash at the Castle official. How, you say? With a contract signing, how else? Hijinks may ensue.

The Women’s Tag Team Championship is currently vacant, but it won’t stay that way for long since a tournament to decide the new titleholders got underway earlier this week on Raw. Tonight, Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah take their turn, but they may not even advance out of the first round since they have the team of Shotzi and Xia Li to face right out of the gate.

On top of all that, one would expect that Drew McIntyre would have something to say on this show as he has his sights set on dethroning Roman Reigns in just a few weeks at Clash at the Castle. And how does newly returned Karrion Kross figure into things?
