WWE Raw results 11/20/23: Drew McIntyre wins WarGames advantage, Randy Orton is in too

The Viper didn’t appear on Raw but it seems almost certain he’ll be in WarGames this Saturday.

When Drew McIntyre turned on the biggest faces on the Raw roster last week, it wasn’t a complete surprise. But that doesn’t mean it was any easier to take, and what he does tonight on WWE Raw from Grand Rapids.

The Scottish Warrior has been in the midst of what appears to be a slow motion heel turn for weeks, bitter at seeing his world championship aspirations foiled: first by Jey Uso, back when he was still part of The Bloodline, and more recently by Seth Rollins, who defeated him straight up.

That made it perfectly logical when he aided The Judgment Day in retaining their tag team titles, even if the WWE Universe was still upset when it happened. It also seems like it won’t be enough to help him prove his point.

Might siding with The Judgment Day and trying to stomp out Uso, Rollins, Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn personally in WarGames do it? Perhaps, and since McIntyre is slated to kick off the show tonight, we may find out if that’s his plan pretty quickly.

Of course if he throws in with the heels, the face will need a fifth man of their own. You’ve all heard the rumors. Some of you even seem to be hoping a certain Pepsi Phil will get the call. However, there are others who are hoping the Viper makes his long awaited return, and that would make this show very interesting indeed.

Also there could be a new theme song, which would be pretty cool as well.

Here’s what happened tonight in chronological order.

WWE Raw results from Grand Rapids:

(please scroll down for full details on any match or segment in bold)

  • Drew McIntyre explains his heel turn in frankly relatable terms and says he’ll stand with The Judgment Day in WarGames, bringing everyone else involved in that match out ahead of the match for the advantage later tonight
  • Damian Priest says as the leader of the WarGames team, Rhea Ripley should have asked him first before adding McIntyre to their team, and through Ripley admits that probably should have been the case, they’re going to wait for Drew before picking the person for the advantage match
  • Nia Jax def. Raquel Rodriguez by pinfall
  • Priest is impatient but McIntyre has arrived, and he wants to be in the advantage match; Priest eventually relents and says Drew can go prove his worth to the team, then tells Ripley he better get the job done
  • The good guys in WarGames discuss who they might add for their team, with Rhodes suggesting he has an “old friend” he can call, telling Uso to just focus on the advantage match
  • Becky Lynch def. Xia Li by pinfall
  • After the match, Damage CTRL comes down through the stands, but so does the face team, and a huge brawl breaks out that needs security and officials to break up
  • Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci have a disagreement about the Ring General’s instructions, with Kaiser telling Vinci to stay in the back for his match with Johnny Gargano
  • A video package hypes up Zoey Stark ahead of her match with Ripley at Survivor Series
  • Johnny Gargano def. Ludwig Kaiser by pinfall after Vinci ignores Kaiser’s instructions and distracts him
  • Pearce has lost it because he’s being nagged by multiple teams who want to challenge for the women’s tag team titles, eventually giving up and putting them all in one match to find a No. 1 contender, and not even Chelsea Green’s threat to talk to “the office” makes him rethink his decision
  • Stark and Shayna Baszler have invaded The Judgment Day’s locker room, and Zoey fells confident enough to taunt the champ there; Rhea says she kind of respects Zoey’s chutzpah and that she’ll get her beating on Saturday
  • Tegan Nox and Natalya win a Women’s Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contenders Fatal 4-Way
  • Gunther demands an explanation from Kaiser and Vinci and isn’t in the mood for Ludwig’s excuses; he tells them to watch him handle The Miz and suggests they sort it out
  • Pearce has his hands full again backstage, where the men’s teams want the same opportunity as the women’s teams, so he tells them they can have Tag Team Turmoil next week on Raw, then turns to find SmackDown GM Nick Aldis there asking for a conversation
  • The Miz gets bullied by Gunther until he can take no more
  • Seth Rollins gives Jey Uso a pep talk ahead of the advantage match
  • Ivar (and Valhalla) have some words for Bronson Reed, challenging Reed to a match next week on Raw
  • Shinsuke Nakamura def. Chad Gable by pinfall
  • Priest tells McIntyre he better get the job done, and the Scottish Warrior says he won’t just win but will take Jey Uso out
  • Reed accepts Ivar’s challenge and says the Viking won’t survive
  • A short video explains the rules for the WarGames matches
  • Though Rollins and Zayn say they’ve had no luck securing a fifth member for their team, Rhodes tells them the person he called picked up and “he’s in”
  • Drew McIntyre def. Jey Uso by pinfall, winning The Judgment Day the advantage for WarGames
  • After the bell, McIntyre continues to beat on Uso, and quickly, everyone in the WarGames match is in the ring, with the faces clearing the ring thanks to steel chairs; Rhodes says he’s glad The Judgment Day has the advantage because they have someone on their side: an Apex Predator

WWE Raw results 11/13/23: The Judgment Day gets a new member — and a powerful ally

Fans ended WWE Raw stunned as it wasn’t JD McDonagh who bailed out The Judgment Day.

The Judgment Day likes to go around saying it runs Monday nights. The villainous stable doesn’t necessarily need titles to back up that claim, but it sure does help, which is why the tag team title match tonight on WWE Raw in Washington D.C. is important to its efforts to keep the rest of the roster under its collective thumb.

Rhea Ripley has so far been the only member of the group to keep a firm grip on a championship. Damian Priest and Finn Balor have win the tag team titles twice, but that means they’ve also lost them once.

As luck would have it (well, more Adam Pearce than luck, but you get it), the men they beat for the championship the second time are also the ones who briefly took it from them, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. So if Priest and Balor can hang on to the belts tonight, they’ll pull off the rare retention/payback combo in one fell swoop.

It’s also very much worth noting that Survivor Series is coming up fast, and both of these duos are on opposite sides of WarGames at that event. Could that figure into what happens on Raw? Honestly, it might be more surprising if it didn’t.

There’s some other good stuff advertised for this show as well, especially when it comes to in-ring action. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Otis sounds like a matchup we didn’t know we wanted. The same could be said for Tommaso Ciampa vs. Ludwig Kaiser, and there are several women’s intriguing women’s matches scheduled too.

So what say you? If you’re ready to take it all in, so are we.

(please scroll down for full details on any match or segment in bold)

  • Cody Rhodes and his WarGames team exchange pleasantries with The Judgment Day, which ends with Damian Priest declaring himself his group’s leader and accepting Seth Rollins’ challenge for a tag team match involving the four men NOT in tonight’s main event
  • Sami Zayn and Seth Rollins def. Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh by DQ, as the rest of The Judgment Day interfere, Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes get involved, and Adam Pearce responds to the ensuing brawl by declaring everyone who is in the WarGames match barred from the arena for tonight’s main event
  • Rhea Ripley yells at Pearce until both of them are joined in the ring by Zoey Stark, who says Rhea is simply worried about too many things; Ripley disagrees but also finds herself unable to pull off a sneak attack on her No. 1 contender
  • Shinsuke Nakamura says he’s still in control and waiting for his time to go after the person he’s targeting, though he still won’t reveal who that is
  • Cody asks to speak to Seth one on one, and Rollins promises that for one night, for WarGames, they will be good
  • Shinsuke Nakamura def. Otis by pinfall
  • A video package gets us even more hype for WarGames, if that’s possible
  • Drew McIntyre stops Rollins to say that the things he told McIntyre before Crown Jewel turned out to be right, and extends his hand, which Seth shakes; the Scottish Warrior says he’s going to work his butt off to earn another shot, then watches Rollins walk off
  • A video promotes Tegan Nox, her recovery from injury and the “craziest” year she’s had since then, where she learned she can hang with the very best in WWE
  • Tegan Nox def. Piper Niven by pinfall
  • Asked what is driving him to dethrone Gunther, The Miz says it’s his desire to restore the respect to his previous Intercontinental Championship reigns; both Ivar and Bronson Reed interrupt, and Reed ends up in a staredown with Valhalla
  • Tommaso Ciampa vs. Ludwig Kaiser
  • The Judgment Day regroups, agreeing that Priest can be the leader for WarGames, while Damian also says he’ll tell JD McDonagh he’s become a full member of the group
  • Xia Li def. Indi Hartwell by referee stoppage, continuing a string of her stopping opponents with strikes alone; afterward, Becky Lynch arrives with a bone to pick, and though Li retreats, The Man says they’ve got a match confirmed for next week
  • Gunther taunts The Miz backstage, but the A-Lister tells the Ring General to watch his match tonight and to beware at Survivor Series; the IC champ is unmoved, promising the “beating of a lifetime” for Miz at the PPV
  • Stark gets Shayna Baszler to admit that she hopes Zoey defeats Rhea at Survivor Series, but both Raquel Rodriguez and Nia Jax both show up to tease a fight between the two of them
  • The Miz def. Ivar by pinfall, and Ivar gets attacked by Reed after the bell
  • Priest tells McDonagh he’s officially in The Judgment Day before Balor congratulates him and tells him to leave the arena (since he’s been barred from the building and all)
  • Gunther is happy … but with Giovanni Vinci, not Kaiser; an angry Kaiser almost runs afoul of Indus Sher but thinks better of it
  • The Creed Brothers, Alpha Academy and The New Day bicker over who should go for the tag team titles, Ivy Nile and Maxxine Dupri hit it off, and Akira Tozawa breaks out his nasty moves again
  • The Judgment Day (Damian Priest and Finn Balor) def. Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso by pinfall to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship after McIntyre lays out Uso with a Claymore
  • The show ends with McIntyre shaking hands with Ripley on the stage as the fans boo

WWE Raw preview 11/13/23: Can Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso reclaim tag titles?

WWE Raw from Washington D.C. will also see The Miz take on Ivar after they collided during last week’s Fatal 4-Way.

When Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso first teamed together and became Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, it felt like more of a happy side effect of their battle against The Judgment Day than a goal in and of itself. That might change tonight on WWE Raw form Washington D.C. as the duo gears up to try to win the titles back.

Why? For starters, they’re up against the same two men they beat for the gold, Damian Priest and Finn Balor — who then beat Rhodes and Uso a few weeks later. There’s a measure of payback that wasn’t involved prior.

Plus the surrounding stakes are higher after Adam Pearce declared that all four men will be prominently involved in the WarGames match at Survivor Series. Is this the time to give any kind of psychological edge to the people you’ll be facing inside the double-size steel cage.

We’d say no. So it will be interesting indeed to see whether or not Cody and Jey can take the titles back, and perhaps even more so to watch what happens around this championship match that might still shape Survivor Series.

Here’s what else WWE is promoting for tonight’s Raw from the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C.:

That’s a lot of in-ring action, and we’re ready to take it all in beginning at 8 p.m. ET tonight.

WWE Raw results 10/30/23: No treats for The Judgment Day, especially JD McDonagh

Also on WWE Raw tonight, the Trick or Street Fight was … something.

There have probably been factions that have been outright scarier in terms of their presentation than The Judgment Day if you look back over WWE history, but not that many can claim to have the same combination of power and persistence. And now it’s possible they may use tonight’s episode of WWE Raw to grow that even more, so what could be more frightening than that for a Halloween week episode from Greenville?

JD McDonagh is kind of the quintessential wanna-be in that he’s been on a “How can I be down?” kick for weeks, always trying to assist — though sometimes his help has backfired, and there are certainly questions about his motivations.

He’ll try to prove he’s worth a full-fledged spot tonight when he takes on Seth Rollins. Rhea Ripley will no doubt be watching closely, but she may also have hedged her bet since it sure seemed like she was extending an invitation to the World Heavyweight Champion to join the group last week.

And because you should always have a gimmick match for Halloween, Raw has that covered as well. Natalya will take on Chelsea Green in a Trick or Street Fight, a match that only took on more potential entertainment value on social media today.

To wit:

Ahem. Plus we’ll see the latest between DIY and Imperium, and there’s buzz about an NXT call-up that should be very popular among fans who watch that brand regularly.

Sounds like a splendid way to spend the night before Halloween. Let’s see if it turns out that way.

WWE Raw results from Greenville:

(please scroll down for full details on any match or segment in bold)

  • Rhea Ripley lays down the law for tonight but gets a rebuttal from Sami Zayn, who is willing to fight The Judgment Day but discovers Ricochet has his back
  • Dominik Mysterio def. Ricochet by pinfall with the help of Rhea Ripley, JD McDonagh and some rule-breaking
  • A short video package promotes the return of #DIY as a tag team

  • We also get a highlight package of The Creed Brothers, introducing the masses to Julius and Brutus
  • The Creed Brothers def. Alpha Academy by pinfall in their first ever WWE match
  • The Judgment Day seems unamused by The New Day trick-or-treating dressed (sort of) like them, and Damian Priest seems a little ticked about Ripley making a match for him until she’s able to convince him that it’s for the good of the group
  • Nia Jax talks about squashing everyone since her return and looks forward to doing it again at Crown Jewel
  • Miz TV welcomes another big guest, Gunther, but the Ring General and Imperium make this particular episode miserable for the host
  • An angry Miz demands an Intercontinental Championship with Gunther, but Adam Pearce says he can earn one, and it appears that may mean defeating Bronson Reed
  • #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) def. Imperium (Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser) by pinfall
  • Shinsuke Nakamura says he’s waiting to be provoked by someone who fancies themself the hero
  • Xia Li def. Candice LeRae by referee stoppage
  • Jey Uso wishes Zayn good luck before suggesting he might team with Cody Rhodes about pursuing the tag team titles and then … um, running up on Rhea?
  • Shayna Baszler makes her vow to win the Fatal 5-Way at Crown Jewel; in the back, LeRae is checked out by doctors as Gargano and her friends look on
  • A lengthy but very good pre-taped video has Drew McIntyre explain why his title shot at Crown Jewel is so meaningful to him, and while he’s willing to break Seth Rollins’ back to win
  • Zoey Stark speaks her piece before the Fatal 5-Way, so we’ve heard from all of the challengers now

  • Seth Rollins def. JD McDonagh by pinfall despite the looming threat of a Money in the Bank cash-in by Damian Priest

  • Damian Priest def. Sami Zayn by DQ after Jey Uso ends up superkicking Priest, but …
  • … the show ends with Zayn, Uso and Cody Rhodes teaming to battle The Judgment Day, McDonagh taking two Cross Rhodes on the announce table and Cody delivering a passionate warning to Damian for Saturday

WWE Raw results 10/23/23: The Judgment Day keeps making moves

Rhea Ripley signed a contract but also kept up a seeming recruiting drive on WWE Raw.

OK, so I have no idea if this headline is actually true since The Judgment Day has never invited me or any of the Wrestling Junkie crew to one of their celebrations. That’s also true tonight on WWE Raw from Dallas.

Why are they in such a triumphant mood? Well, it just so happens that despite some infighting over the past few weeks, the group came together in a big way last Monday, with everyone playing their part to ensure Damian Priest and Finn Balor reclaimed the tag team titles from Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.

Not sure the group can rightfully claim to hold “most of the gold in WWE” like it says in WWE’s official preview for tonight’s show, but everyone but Dominik Mysterio is back in possession of a title, so that seems like plenty of reason to celebrate to me.

Oh, but Priest also has to face Uso tonight, so that only heightens the chances of Main Event Jey coming out to spoil the mood during the show-opening segment. Yeet.

There’s plenty of other stuff to look forward to in Big D. Logan Paul will be on hand, though it’s not readily apparent why since the man he just called out, Rey Mysterio, works on SmackDown. Becky Lynch will once again put her NXT Women’s Championship on the line, this time against Indi Hartwell.

Drew McIntyre will battle Sami Zayn as the two men continue to disagree about whether a person can turn over a new leaf and be forgiven for past misdeeds. And The New Day will take on Alpha Academy as jostling for position for a tag team title shot continues.

So plenty for us to sink our teeth into, which is not a poor Halloween season/vampire joke, promise. If you are otherwise engaged tonight, we got you.

WWE Raw results from Dallas:

(please scroll down for full details on any match or segment in bold)

  • Party up with The Judgment Day? Cody Rhodes learns why it’s a bad idea
  • The New Day def. Alpha Academy by pinfall
  • Becky Lynch acknowledges the multiple people chasing her NXT championship but says she needs to stay focused on Indi Hartwell tonight
  • A hype video is shown for Ivar, which is well deserved after some of his recent performances
  • Seth Rollins seems chipper while walking backstage, but runs into Rhea Ripley, who suggests that he needs the “insurance” of The Judgment Day; Rollins retorts that maybe Rhea is uncertain that Damian Priest won’t successfully cash in his MITB contract, while she maintains that without their help, he won’t ever have a title reign like Roman Reigns — but Rollins says if there’s one thing he doesn’t want, it’s to be anything like Roman
  • Natalya offers her support and advice to Hartwell ahead of her title opportunity
  • Becky Lynch def. Indi Hartwell by submission to retain the NXT Women’s Championship; afterward, Xia Li attacks Candice LeRae in the back
  • Nick Aldis apologizes to Adam Pearce for kicking him out of the building on SmackDown, and Pearce accepts it but also asks for security to be doubled — though maybe for the contract signing coming up next
  • A contract signing with five top women’s wrestlers sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, and naturally, it does indeed turn into a brawl as Ripley stands and watches the whole thing while laughing
  • Bronson Reed tries to stir things up with Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci, but ends up getting challenged to a match by … Akira Tozawa?
  • Johnny Gargano def. Giovanni Vinci by pinfall, as Tommaso Ciampa assists with Ludwig Kaiser on the outside
  • Shinsuke Nakamura cuts another stylish, subtitled promo on Ricochet
  • Logan Paul and Dominik Mysterio do the mutual admiration thing, much to the disgust of the fans — and Ricochet
  • Chelsea Green and Piper Niven def. Natalya and Nikki Cross by pinfall after Cross does literally nothing for her team
  • Drew McIntyre sarcastically tells Jey Uso he can’t imagine what it’s like to have The Bloodline cost him a championship and says whatever happens to Sami Zayn tonight is on his head
  • The Miz drops in on Pearce to air his grievances about not being given anything worthwhile to do on Raw in weeks, and he’s even more upset when Ripley arrives to sign the contract she never got to sign and the camera follows her to check on Dominik
  • Drew McIntyre def. Sami Zayn by pinfall, thanks in part to a distraction from Ripley, obviously still on a recruiting tour
  • Pearce finds Aldis to express his displeasure that the SmackDown GM is talking up some of the Raw talent, and the two men shake hands as Aldis says he’s taking off; also, Cross walks by with the same vacant look in her eyes, causing Pearce to mention that he needs a drink
  • Bronson Reed def. Akira Tozawa by pinfall despite Tozawa’s recent Alpha Academy training
  • Tozawa gets a pep talk from Coach Gable despite his loss, and DIY stops by to announce their return to Alpha Academy and The New Day; also Tozawa does his training dance again
  • Rollins congratulates McIntyre for “your first win as the newest member of The Judgment Day,” though Drew says he say Seth talking to Rhea; both men say they don’t need The Judgment Day to beat the other at Crown Jewel
  • Damian Priest def. Jey Uso by pinfall thanks to help from Balor, but Rhodes, despite suffering an ankle injury earlier, is still up to the challenge of fighting off The Judgment Day (with help from some steel chairs) to end the show

WWE Raw results 10/9/23: Good efforts from Nox, Sami and KO but champs retain

WWE Raw from Omaha saw several championship matches, including the first defense by Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.

Athletes of all kinds have to play through pain sometimes, but pro wrestlers are a different breed. To wit, Becky Lynch suffered a gash so nasty the last time she defended her NXT Women’s Championship that we don’t want to show it again here, yet she still might defend her title less than two weeks later on tonight’s episode of WWE Raw from Omaha.

Lynch is supposed to take on Tegan Nox, who has waited patiently for her opportunity and has had veterans like Natalya and Lynch herself vouching for her. The question is whether Becky will be cleared to compete tonight, but Fightful Select (subscription required) says that as of a few hours before showtime, it was looking good. If the match proceeds, the thing to watch for is whether Nox might be setting Lynch up for a turn as she seems a little “too” good right now.

One thing that hasn’t been good is the way The New Day has been getting roughed up by the one healthy member of the Viking Raiders, Ivar. Kofi Kingston will try to switch things up for your boys, but it’s fair to wonder if agreeing to a Viking Rules match that falls right into Ivar’s wheelhouse is the best way to do it.

Plus, Fastlane gave us new Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, and since Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso are both members of the Raw roster, it would be silly for them not to be featured on tonight’s show. Michael Cole will get some interview time with the new champs, but will an angry Judgment Day come looking for them too?

We’re looking forward to finding out.

WWE Raw results from Omaha:

(please scroll down for more details on any match or segment in bold)

  • Seth Rollins looks OK considering what he went through at Fastlane, and he gets a new challenger, albeit one willing to wait until Crown Jewel
  • Ivar def. Kofi Kingston by pinfall in a Viking Rules match
  • Byron Saxton tries to get some comments from Shinsuke Nakamura, but Riochet comes and finds Nakamura first
  • An angry Priest wants to take his frustration out on JD McDonagh, but Rhea Ripley calms him down by pointing out that he still has the MITB briefcase; The Judgment Day also gives JD the unenviable task of “taking care of” McIntyre
  • Raquel Rodriguez vs. Nia Jax is a no contest as both Ripley and Shayna Baszler both decide to wade into the action
  • Rollins wants an explanation from McIntyre and tells him he doesn’t need to worry about The Judgment Day taking the world title from him
  • Some former tag team champs want a shot at the new ones, as Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn challenge Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso … and the champs say they’re willing to do it tonight
  • Bronson Reed mocks Chad Gable for thinking he’s going to get another crack at the Intercontinental Championship by winning the Triple Threat match tonight …
  • … which Ricochet is also in, but he gets jumped by Nakamura on his way to the ring
  • Bronson Reed def. Chad Gable and Ricochet to earn an Intercontinental Championship shot at Gunther next week on Raw
  • Becky Lynch plugs her book that’s on the way this spring but says she’s ready to give her all against Tegan Nox tonight; she also tells Xia Li she’s not hard to find when Li asks when she may get a title opportunity
  • Drew McIntyre def. JD McDonagh by pinfall
  • Ripley has an idea and tells Priest to trust her
  • Wade Barrett talks to Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa about their DIY reunion, but before they can answer a question about whether they will be a legit tag team on Raw, they get a surprise ambush from Imperium and are left lying on the dressing room floor

  • Becky Lynch def. Tegan Nox by submission to retain the NXT Women’s Championship; afterward, Lynch shows Nox respect for a game effort

  • Natalya, Katana Chance and Kayden Carter try to cheer up Nox, and when the tag team champs are less hospitable, Natalya agrees to fight Piper Niven next week on Raw
  • McIntyre tells Jey Uso he knows Jey will show his true colors eventually and he’ll be right there to take him down; Zayn stops by to defuse the situation, and the two men agree even though they are friends, it’s go time tonight

  • Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso def. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn by pinfall to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship; after the match, Owens finally shows Uso he respects Jey with a handshake and bro hug

WWE SmackDown results: Dominik pushes Rey past the breaking point, The Usos spoil the WrestleZaynia reveal

WWE SmackDown results from Vegas, as Dominik Mysterio finally pushed his father too far, and The Usos reminded KO and Sami they’re the 1’s.

The most mentally exhausting WWE storyline may finally come to a head tonight on WWE SmackDown from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

That’s not to say that there hasn’t been entertaining father-son drama between Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio. The former has been appropriately tortured as a man who doesn’t want to lay his hands on his own child, no matter how far they’ve gone to the dark side, while the latter has definitely grown as a performer since linking up with The Judgment Day.

But man, is it taking forever to play out, with Dominik essentially repeating himself over and over in his promos about how Rey was never there for him growing up.

Yes, we get it.

With Rey so dug in about refusing to fight Dom even after a challenge was made for WrestleMania, that’s led many to wonder what the straw will be that finally breaks the proverbial camel’s back. Lo and behold, WWE says the entire Mysterio family, including Rey’s mother, will be in Las Vegas.

This is the best chance yet for their inevitable WrestleMania match to be made official, and to that we can only say this: Thank you, because it’s about time.

Speaking of Rey, he’ll be in action in Vegas, taking on LA Knight. Those two have had a few run-ins as of late, and Rey will undoubtedly have other things on his mind, so … maybe Knight will actually be allowed to win?

In contrast, Cody Rhodes knows exactly what he’ll be doing at WrestleMania. But he’s been staying busy leading up to the biggest show of them all, as he will tonight when he faces Ludwig Kaiser.

WWE SmackDown results in 60 seconds:

  • Cody Rhodes def. Ludwig Kaiser by pinfall …
  • … but is told by Paul Heyman after the match that he’ll be facing Solo Sikoa next week on Raw and seeing Roman Reigns one more time next week on SmackDown
  • Charlotte Flair explains exactly how she’s overcome fear, insecurity and charges of nepotism throughout her championship-studded career
  • LA Knight def. Rey Mysterio by pinfall thanks to interference from Dominik Mysterio …
  • … and after Dominik menaces his own mom, Rey finally hits him and agrees to a match at WrestleMania
  • Natalya and Shotzi def. Xia Li and Lacey Evans by submission in a WrestleMania Showcase qualifying match, one that Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler announce they’ve already been added to
  • Drew McIntyre, Sheamus and Gunther are all unhappy for different reasons but end up signing the contract to meet at WrestleMania, but Butch gets a little overexcited, leading to …
  • Gunther def. Butch by pinfall, then gets smashed by a Claymore from McIntyre
  • The Street Profits and Braun Strowman and Ricochet exchange pleasantries ahead of WrestleMania
  • Sami Zayn is the guest on The KO Show, where he learns about WrestleZaynia before getting laid out by The Usos

WWE SmackDown results: Gunther, Rey Mysterio do the darn thing

Get quick WWE SmackDown results for the November 4, 2022 episode pre-recorded ahead of WWE Crown Jewel.

Much of the WWE roster is already in Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel on Saturday. So does that mean there’s no WWE SmackDown this week? Perish the thought!

The show, as it ever does, rolls on, regardless of logistical concerns. WWE solved this particular one by pre-taping this episode the previous Friday, after the usual live show. That means that spoilers are already out there, and if you want a detailed rundown on what went down, you can go seek them out.

We’ve checked out some non-spoiler recaps and can give you a high level look at what to expect. Liv Morgan, now plenty extreme, thank you very much, takes on Sonya Deville again, this time in a No Disqualification bout. Ricochet and LA Knight are going to take their recent beef to the ring. And Rey Mysterio will get an Intercontinental Championship shot against Gunther.

Oh, yes, and we can’t forget there’s likely to be more with Bray Wyatt and the mysterious, spooky figure named Uncle Howdy.

So we’re not going to go blow by blow for this show under the circumstances, but if you need to know what went down this week, read on for full WWE SmackDown results on the night before Crown Jewel.

WWE SmackDown results in 60 seconds:

  • Liv Morgan def. Sonya Deville by pinfall in a No Disqualification match featuring a truly impressive pile of steel chairs
  • Emma said she had something to prove by accepting Ronda Rousey’s challenge, but it appears Xia Li is going to make her prove more
  • A clip from Impaulsive shows Jake Paul offering to support his brother Logan Paul at Crown Jewel
  • Another video package is shown for the Viking Raiders and Sarah Logan
  • LA Knight def. Ricochet by pinfall

  • Braun Strowman runs through five Local Talent types hand-picked by MVP

  • Gunther def. Rey Mysterio to retain the Intercontinental Championship

WWE SmackDown results: Shinsuke tries to take IC gold from Gunther

Get full WWE SmackDown results for the Aug. 12, 2022 episode from Raleigh, NC, with the Intercontinental Championship on the line.

As the last days of summer tick away, things are staying hot in WWE. SmackDown rolls into Raleigh this week to try to keep the flames on, featuring an Intercontinental Championship Match between Gunther and Shinsuke Nakamura that figures to be the night’s main event.

That’s far from all WWE has advertised, however. SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan has a new challenger in the form of Shayna Baszler, but they need to make their title bout at Clash at the Castle official. How, you say? With a contract signing, how else? Hijinks may ensue.

The Women’s Tag Team Championship is currently vacant, but it won’t stay that way for long since a tournament to decide the new titleholders got underway earlier this week on Raw. Tonight, Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah take their turn, but they may not even advance out of the first round since they have the team of Shotzi and Xia Li to face right out of the gate.

On top of all that, one would expect that Drew McIntyre would have something to say on this show as he has his sights set on dethroning Roman Reigns in just a few weeks at Clash at the Castle. And how does newly returned Karrion Kross figure into things?

Add it up and you’ve got a promising two hours of sports … we mean, wrestling on tap. If you can’t watch live, bookmark this page and check back as needed for the latest WWE SmackDown results as they go down in Raleigh.

WWE SmackDown results in 60 seconds:

  • “Everybody knows about the Bloodline, now we’re going to show them the new timeline.” – Tick, tock, says Karrion Kross

WWE SmackDown results: An unexpected return shakes things up in Greenville

Get full WWE SmackDown results for the August 5, 2022 episode from Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, SC.

Sometimes we just don’t have time to do the full-on, detailed breakdown of WWE SmackDown. We’re a small team at Wrestling Junkie, after all.

But that’s OK, because we’re still invested in finding out what went down from Bon Secours Wellness Arena (that’s a long name for a venue) in Greenville, SC and passing it along to you. So an abbreviated results post it is, with just the summaries of each match and segment.

Here’s what we know to expect: Roman Reigns will address the man he knows is now his No. 1 contender for Clash at the Castle, Drew McIntyre. Seven women will run the gauntlet (meaning a Gauntlet Match) to determine who will challenge Liv Morgan for her belt (we’re allowed to call it that now, probably). Shinsuke Nakamura will face Ludwig Kaiser, again, for a potential shot at Gunther.

Let’s roll, Greenville!

WWE SmackDown results in 60 seconds:

  • Ricochet def. Happy Corbin by pinfall, partly because Corbin can’t let go of his issues with Pat McAfee
  • Sami Zayn tries keeping it 100 with the Bloodline but wants to know why the Tribal Chief kept him on read
  • Shinsuke Nakamura def. Ludwig Kaiser by pinfall, earning a shot at Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship next week (and possibly earning Kaiser another butt-whupping)
  • Kofi Kingston says Xavier Woods is in good spirits as he recuperates from the attack by the Viking Raiders, but it’s almost time for him to make the Raiders pay
  • The Usos ask Zayn for a favor, telling him it would mean a lot to Roman to head to the production truck to ensure his pyro, music and entire entrance is just right tonight
  • Liv Morgan, sporting a brace on her left arm, gets some boos and “you tapped out” chants as she explains her victory over Ronda Rousey,; Sonya Deville comes out to belittle Liv and vow to win the Gauntlet Match
  • Shayna Baszler wins a Gauntlet Match that included Aliyah, Sonya Deville, Shotzi, Xia Li, Natalya and Raquel Rodriguez to become No. 1 contender for Morgan’s SmackDown Women’s Championship
  • Annoyed by Zayn’s nagging, the Usos tell him he needs to pull his weight or they’re going to take his Bloodline shirt off him real quick
  • Viking Raiders def. Local Talent by pinfall, then get attacked by a kendo stick-wielding Kingston
  • Kofi Kingston def. Erik by pinfall
  • The tournament for the Women’s Tag Team Championship is back on, for real, for real
  • Drew McIntyre comes out to confront the typically confident Bloodline, but he’s attacked by a returning Karrion Kross (now with hair!), and Scarlett leaves the hourglass in the ring in front of Roman Reigns
