Raiders vs Steelers Thursday injury report: Tyree Wilson missing again with illness

Tyree Wilson misses practice again with illness

For the second straight day, Tyree Wilson was not on the practice field for the Raiders. He was missing with an undisclosed illness.

Returning to practice from illness was fellow rookie Christopher Smith II. Meanwhile several others were upgraded from limited to full, including LB Divine Deablo, S Marcus Epps, and WR Jakobi Meyers. And Davante Adams was removed from the injury report altogether.

For the Steelers, they got back six of the eight players who missed practice on Wednesday. The only remaining players not practicing were WR Gunner Olszewski and DT Larry Ogunjobi.

Raiders, Steelers Wednesday injury report: Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers both practice

Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers both practiced today, each coming off concussion protocol.

A concussion near the end of the season opener had Jakobi Meyers miss the Raiders Week 2 game in Buffalo. Then a hard hit at the end of that game had Davante Adams evaluated for a concussion. Wednesday brought good news for both starting receivers.

Adams and Meyers both practiced today as the Raiders prepare to face the Steelers Sunday night, offering a strong indication they will be good to go this week.

The only players missing from practice were safety Christopher Smith II and defensive end Tyree Wilson. Both players were missing with an illness.

Chandler Jones’s absence from the injury report is due to the team placing him on the Non-Football Illness list and thus ruling him out for at least four weeks.

The Steelers had a very full injury report including S Minkah Fitzpatrick (chest), LB Markus Golden (knee), and DT Larry Ojunjobi (foot). We’ll see how many of the eight missing players return for Thursday’s practice.

Raiders vs Bills final injury report: WR Jakobi Meyers, DE Chandlers Jones both ruled OUT

Raiders will officially be without WR Jakobi Meyers and DE Chandlers Jones vs Bills Sunday.

After Jakobi Meyers and Chandlers Jones both missed the entire week of practices, the Raiders have ruled both players out for Sunday’s game in Buffalo.

Meyers suffered a concussion late in the season opener against the Broncos and was unable to practice all week.

His loss is significant considering he led the team last week with nine catches on ten targets for 81 yards and two touchdowns.

Candidates to replace Meyers as starting outside receiver include DeAndre Carter and Kristian Wilkerson. Meanwhile we could see increased snaps from Hunter Renfrow and perhaps the first appearance of rookie Tre Tucker who was inactive for the opener.

Jones has not practiced with the team for the past two weeks while he goes through some personal issues that had him putting out some very concerning social media posts. Still no word out his status going forward, but it doesn’t look good.

Last week the defensive end spot was filled by the combo of Malcolm Koonce and rookie Tyree Wilson with defensive tackle Jerry Tillery also sliding outside at times.

All other Raiders players who made appearances on the injury report this week were removed and are good to go.

Raiders, Bills Wednesday injury report: Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers both miss practice

Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers both miss practice Wednesday

Jimmy Garoppolo was without his two favorite targets from the season opener for Wednesday’s practice. And a third receiver as well.

Jakobi Meyers — who led the team with nine catches for 81 yards and a TD — is in the concussion protocol, so his absence was not unexpected. Davante Adams joined him on the sideline with a foot injury, as did DeAndre Carter with a knee injury.

Along with the wide receiving corps being decimated, the defense was missing a couple starters as well.

Garoppolo himself was limited with an ankle injury he suffered in the game that didn’t seem to hinder him. Or it certainly didn’t on his game-sealing first down scramble.

Once again without Chandler Jones was out for personal reasons as he decides whether he still wants to be on the team. And safety Tre’von Moehrig was out while dealing with a thumb injury.

If Jones doesn’t return this week, he would once again be replaced by the combination of Malcolm Koonce and Tyree Wilson.

Chargers final injury report vs. Raiders: 2 out, 2 doubtful

The Los Angeles Chargers are a bit banged up.

The Los Angeles Chargers released their final injury report ahead of the Week 15 battle with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Here is a look at the report:

The Chargers will be without tackle Bryan Bulaga, who is out with a concussion that he sustained last Sunday. They will also be without linebacker Emeke Egbule (illness).

Two other players who might not play are linebacker Denzel Perryman (back) and safety Nasir Adderley (shoulder). If Adderley is out, Rayshawn Jenkins will move to free safety while Jahleel Addae starts at strong safety.

Los Angeles has four key players that are questionable, wide receivers Mike Williams (back), Keenan Allen (hamstring), running back Austin Ekeler (quad) and edge defender Uchenna Nwosu (shoulder).

Meanwhile, the Raiders will be missing a handful of defenders. Safety Johnathan Abram, cornerback Damon Arnette, edge defender Clelin Ferrell and linebacker Nicholas Morrow have been ruled out.
