South Carolina (11-16, 5-13 SEC) defeated No. 8 Tennessee (24-4, 15-3 SEC), 25-23, 26-24, 255-22, Saturday in the regular-season finale for both schools at Carolina Volleyball Center in Columbia, South Carolina.

The loss ended Tennessee’s eight-match winning streak.

Right side player and graduate student Morgahn Fingall totaled 16 kills, four digs and two blocks for the Lady Vols. She also posted a .467 hitting percentage in the match.

Jenaisya Moore recorded nine kills and two blocks and Raeven Chase finished the match with eight kills.

Caroline Kerr was the Lady Vols’ leading passer, as she accumulated 39 assists. She also recorded three kills and one ace. Mackenzie Plante totaled seven digs, two aces and one assist.

Tennessee recorded its 16th sweep of the season and have now won seven consecutive matches.

Jenaisya Moore totaled 17 kills and two assists and posted a .371 hitting percentage for Tennessee.

Morgahn Fingall recorded 12 kills, eight digs, three aces and three blocks. Erykah Lovett finished with 10 digs, five kills and two blocks, while Raeven Chase had seven blocks and five kills.

Setter Caroline Kerr recorded 34 assists, four digs, three kills and one ace, while Yelaniz Torres 10 digs, five assists and one ace for Tennessee, which held the Aggies to a .159 hitting percentage.

No. 10 Tennessee (20-3, 11-2 SEC) defeated Georgia (15-10, 6-7 SEC) in four sets Friday at Food City Center.

Tennessee defeated the Bulldogs, 22-25, 25-13, 25-23, 25-19.

Graduate student and outside hitter Morgahn Fingall recorded her 1,500th career kill in the match against Georgia. She totaled 21 kills and six blocks, while recording a .425 hitting percentage.

Jenaisya Moore recorded 20 kills and three blocks for Tennessee. Raeven Chase finished with eight kills for the Lady Vols.

Redshirt freshman setter Caroline Kerr was the Lady Vols’ leading passer with 54 assists.

Yelianiz Torres totaled 14 digs and one ace for Tennessee.

Tennessee has reached 20 wins this season, marking the third time the Lady Vols have accomplished the feat under head coach Eve Rackham Watt and the 25th time in program history.

Arkansas defeats Lady Vols in four sets

Razorbacks defeat Tennessee in four-set SEC match.

No. 10 Arkansas (18-2, 8-0 SEC) defeated No. 12 Tennessee (16-3, 7-2 SEC) in four sets Friday in Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center.

Friday’s win was the second consecutive loss for the Lady Vols, who have lost its last two home matches.

Tennessee won the first set before the Razorbacks captured a 25-27, 25-16, 25-22, 25-20 victory.

The Lady Vols had three players record double-doubles in the match. Jenaisya Moore totaled 13 kills and 10 digs, while Morgahn Fingall posted 12 kills and 15 digs. Redshirt freshman setter Caroline Kerr finished with 49 assists and 19 digs. She also had three blocks.

Tennessee’s Raeven Chase had season highs in both kills and blocks as she totaled 13 kills and five blocks.

Erykah Lovett had 16 digs and three assists, while Yelianiz Torres had 30 digs for the Lady Vols.
