In-state LB Quinton Reese officially signs with the Alabama Crimson Tide

In-state LB Quinton Reese officially signs with Alabama

Three-star in-state linebacker [autotag]Quinton Reese[/autotag] made it official today as he put pen to paper to continue his football and academic careers at the University of Alabama. Reese has been committed since September of 2023 and decided to stick with the Tide despite the transition between coaches.

Alabama and UCF were the two Power Five offers that Reese received, so getting the opportunity to stay in-state to play for one of the best coaches in the country was too good to pass on. Reese attributes a very strong official visit combined with constant communication from the staff’s as the biggest factors in his decision.

Reese is the second player to sign today in addition to the electric five-star WR [autotag]Ryan Williams[/autotag].

3-star Alabama commit shuts down recruitment, will sign with Tide

3-star Alabama commit to sign with Crimson Tide

A long-time Alabama commit, Quinton “QB” Reese has officially shut down his recruitment and will sign his NLI with the Crimson Tide this Wednesday on National Signing Day.

Reese, who took an official visit to Alabama this past weekend, has been a Crimson Tide commit since September of 2023 and holds offers from other collegiate programs that include Liberty, Troy, and UCF, among others. The Crimson Tide commit is also considered a three-star linebacker out of in-state Ramsay High School in Alabama according to the 247Sports Composite.

Reese is coming off a stellar senior season of high school in which he was named Alabama’s Class 5A Lineman of the Year by helping lead Ramsay to a state runner-up finish in 2023. As a senior, Reese was a tackling machine by racking up 167 tackles, 25 TFL, and four sacks across 14 games, and has over 300+ tackles and 50+ TFL combined across the past two seasons alone.

Reese is the third Alabama commit who will be signing with the Crimson Tide on Wednesday, joining five-star wide receiver Ryan Williams and four-star edge rusher Noah Carter.

How did Alabama commits perform in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game?

Six Alabama commits participated in this year’s Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game. Roll Tide Wire takes a look at how each of them perfomed on Saturday afternoon.

The Alabama football program was well-represented in the 2023 Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game. Six Alabama commits participated in the contest in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Southern Miss’ campus.

Cornerback Jaylen Mbakwe, safety Dre Kirkpatrick Jr., defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman, linebacker Quinton “QB” Reese, offensive lineman William Sanders, and wide receiver Ryan Williams competed for Team Alabama on Saturday afternoon.

It was an impressive showing for the Alabama commits and their teammates. Team Alabama knocked off Team Mississippi by a final score of 26-17.

7 Alabama commits to participate in Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game

Seven Alabama commits will participate in the annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Football Game on Dec. 16

The Alabama football program is annually represented at the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game. This year will be no different. Seven Alabama commits will suit up for Team Alabama in this year’s classic.

The seven Alabama commits that made the roster are Saraland wide receiver Ryan Williams, Clay-Chalkville cornerback Jaylen Mbakwe, Brookwood offensive lineman William Sanders, Gadsden City safety Dre Kirkpatrick Jr., Central-Phenix City defensive lineman Isaia Faga, Ramsay linebacker Quinton “QB” Reese, and A.H. Parker defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman.

Several other Alabama targets that will be a part of the game are Tuscaloosa County running back Kevin Riley, Foley wide receiver Perry Thompson, Meridian (MS) running back Daniel Hill, and Houston (MS) defensive lineman William Echoles.

Saraland’s Ryan Williams (1) scores a touchdown against Clay-Chalkville during the AHSAA Class 6A football state championship game at Bryant Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Friday December 8, 2023.

This all-star game typically features some of the top talent in the south. Specifically, the Magnolia and Yellowhammer states. It always seems to be an interesting game between the two states. This year should be no exception.

I think it is safe to say that the Crimson Tide will be well-represented on both sides of the ball Saturday, Dec. 16th. The game will be played at Southern Mississippi’s M.M. Roberts Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET

Alabama lands commitment from 2024 LB, Alabama native Quinton ‘QB’ Reese

Alabama landed its 20th commitment in the 2024 recruiting class from three-star linebacker Quinton “QB” Reese.

Alabama’s 2024 recruiting class received a boost on Saturday night. 2024 linebacker Quinton “QB” Reese announced his commitment to Alabama via X, formerly known as Twitter.

Reese plays for Ramsay High School in Birmingham, Alabama. He is listed as being 6-feet tall and 210 pounds. Before he arrives on campus, he will likely be asked to gain muscle weight. Reese plays well for being undersized, however.

Reese is the fourth linebacker to commit to the Crimson Tide in the ’24 class. He is the 20th overall commitment in the class.
