Jackson earned the accolade with a jaw-dropping stat line on Jan. 30. During a 117-104 win against the Birmingham Squadron, he tallied a career-high 40 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists.

The 2022 Texas A&M graduate signed with the Chicago Bulls on Sept. 8 but was waived on Oct. 16 before the 2023-24 regular season began. He started playing for Chicago’s G League affiliate on Nov. 9.

Jackson was undrafted in 2022 and agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Washington Wizards on Sept. 13, 2022. He was waived 32 days later on Oct. 15 and joined the Capital City Go-Go, the Wizards’ G League club. Report: Bulls sign 2 guards to Exhibit-10 contracts for training camp

The Chicago Bulls have officially signed two guards to Exhibit-10 contracts.

The Chicago Bulls have signed Quenton Jackson and Max Heidegger to Exhibit-10 contracts that will allow them to be with the team for training camp, according to the team’s official Twitter account. Jackson, 24 years old, and Heidegger, 26 years old, played in the Summer League this offseason for the Washington Wizards and Atlanta Hawks, respectively.

Jackson has a bit of NBA experience under his belt, having played nine games with the Wizards this past year. However, the 6-foot-5 guard spent most of his time in the G League with the Capital City Go-Go, where he played 29 games. He averaged 15.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.2 steals while shooting 53.5% from the field and 39.5% from deep.

As for Heidegger, he spent this past year playing internationally for Saski Baskonia in Spain and Merkezefendi Belediyesi Denizli Basket in Turkey. In 45 games across all competitions with both teams, the 6-foot-3 guard averaged 10.6 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 4.0 assists while shooting 43.2% from the floor and 37.0% from behind the arc.

The Bulls don’t have any two-way spots left available, as Adama Sanogo, Onrulap Bitim, and Justin Lewis are currently holding those spots, so if either Jackson or Heidegger were to impress, they would have to find a way of making the main roster.

However, it’s more likely that Chicago is bringing them in with the hopes of having them play for the Windy City Bulls in the upcoming season.

Neither seems primed to make much noise on the main roster, but both are intriguing enough for the Bulls to want to keep them around moving forward.

A trio of former Aggies in Dexter Dennis, Quenton Jackson, and DJ Hogg will all partake in this year’s 2K24 NBA Summer League from Sin City, which runs from Friday, July 7th through the 17th. With all 30 NBA teams in action, it also provides a chance for the aforementioned three to display their skills in front of scouts, hoping to land a roster spot for the coming regular season.

Dennis headlines the group as the newest addition to make his way from College Station, having spent his final year of eligibility with Texas A&M following four seasons at Wichita State. Former Aggie basketball player drops a triple double in blowout win

Former Aggie Quenton Jackson goes off with a triple-double in NBA G-League game

After a few bad weeks of Aggies basketball, it was a great palate cleanser to see Quenton Jackson go off in the NBA G League on Friday. The heart and soul of Buzz Williams 2022 recently signed a two-way contract with the Washington Wizards showed why that contract was well worth it.

Jackson was on fire going for 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in a 140 – 91 beatdown of the Texas Legends. He also put himself in the Capital City Go-Go team record books for locking in just the fourth triple-double in team history.

Many Aggie fans are convinced that Jackson didn’t get the deserved ending to his senior season due to them being left out of the NCAA tournament, but with now him flourishing in the G-League and signing a two-way contract, it feels like this is just the beginning of a highly productive pro career.

Below are a few social media reactions on Quenton Jackson’s historic night.

Report: Wizards to sign Quenton Jackson to two-way contract

Jackson is averaging 12.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 steals with the Go-Go this season.

Quenton Jackson of the Capital City Go-Go will reportedly sign a two-way contract with the Washington Wizards, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Jackson went undrafted last year out of Texas A&M and joined the Wizards for the Las Vegas Summer League, averaging 9.3 points in four games. He made one appearance in the preseason and was later waived and sent to the Go-Go in the G League.

The move was possible after the team waived Devon Dotson last month.

The 24-year-old is averaging 12.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 steals on 48.9% shooting from the field in 32 games with the Go-Go. He has scored in double figures 22 times, including a season-high 24 points on Jan. 20.

Jackson emerged as one of the most productive players in the G League this season and the Wizards rewarded him with a two-way contract. The team will now have the opportunity to take a closer look at him and see what he can do at the next level.

Former Aggie Basketball Star Quenton Jackson signs with the Washington Wizards

Former Aggie Basketball Star Quenton Jackson signs Exhibit 10 deal with the Washington Wizards

Former Aggies guard Quenton Jackson went undrafted during the NBA Draft on Thursday night but was promptly signed to an Exhibit 10 deal with the Washington Wizards, giving him the opportunity to prove his worth in the summer league with a chance to potentially earn a spot on the Wizard’s 15 man roster.

Ranked as the 31st overall undrafted prospect according to ESPN, Jackson is coming off the most productive season of his career with Texas A&M, where he averaged 14.8 points per game, 3.5 rebounds, and 2 assists, with a field goal percentage of 49%. The 2021-2022 season was one of the most memorable to date, with the Aggies controversially missing out on the NCAA Tournament despite an impressive resume to end the regular season, taking it in stride while making an impressive run in the NIT all the way to the finals, narrowly losing to the Xavier Musketeers 73 to 72. During the season, Jackson stood out as one of the primary leaders on offense and defense, especially in the latter half of the season when the team went 7-1, making it all the way to the SEC finals.

Overall, Quenton Jackson is a great athlete on the floor, with the ability to score at all three levels, shows great speed and quickness in transition, and shines as an on-ball defender with a great feel for zone and man defense, averaging 1.8 steals last season for the Aggies. We will be rooting for Jackson as he chases after his NBA dream, knowing that the entire Texas A&M community has his back no matter what.
