Texas offers two-sport athlete, four-star defensive end from Louisiana

On Tuesday, Texas extended an offer to a big-bodied defensive end from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Texas is targeting a big-bodied defensive end from Madison Prep Academy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Four-star strong side defensive end Quency Wiggins announced on Tuesday he received an offer from the University of Texas. He’s rated the No. 14 overall player from the state of Louisiana and a top-15 prospect at his position in the 2022 recruiting class according to 247Sports.

Wiggins is a two-sport athlete in football and basketball and has received an impressive list of Power Five offers. Florida, USC, Auburn, LSU and Michigan are a few of the primary schools targeting him. As of now, 247Sports notes that Wiggins has official visits scheduled with Auburn and USC in June.

Tennessee offers 2022 Louisiana defensive end prospect

Tennessee is looking to add to its 2022 recruiting class.

Tennessee has released an onslaught of scholarship offers to 2022 recruiting prospects, with one of the latest going towards defensive end Quency Wiggins from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Wiggins has seen a a handful of Power Five offers, though none of them are from his hometown team, the LSU Tigers.

Arkansas, Indiana, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Memphis are some of the other programs to offer the 6-foot-6, 265-pound defender.

The junior from Madison Prep Academy is rated a 3-star by 247Sports, the No. 35 strong-side defensive end in his class and the No. 25 prospect in the state of Louisiana.

Also a basketball player, Wiggins has the size and athleticism to turn into a highly sought-after prospect in the 2022 cycle.
