Aaron Donald leads all DTs in Pro Bowl voting

Aaron Donald has once again been a stud for the Rams this season.

The Rams probably won’t be sending many players to the Pro Bowl this year with Jared Goff, Todd Gurley and Andrew Whitworth having down years, but Aaron Donald is one of the few standouts who hasn’t slowed down.

In an update released by the NFL on Wednesday, Donald leads all defensive tackles in Pro Bowl voting with 128,397 votes. The AFC leader at defensive tackle, Cameron Heyward of the Steelers, has 90,351 votes.

Donald is the only player who leads his position in voting, but another former Ram does, too. Marcus Peters has the most votes of any cornerback in the NFL at 110,949. Peters has been a stud for the Ravens since being traded by the Rams and is deserving of a spot in the Pro Bowl.

Players such as Cory Littleton and Jalen Ramsey still have time to earn votes from fans, but as of now, it’s looking like Donald is the only lock to make the Pro Bowl.

Chargers’ Joey Bosa among top vote getters in early Pro Bowl voting

Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa is getting the recognition he deserves.

Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa currently leads all players at his position in the AFC conference in early Pro Bowl voting.

With one week of voting now complete, the NFL released the first set of Pro Bowl voting Wednesday and they show Bosa at the top with 62,029 votes.

Right underneath him is his brother, Nick, who’s leading the NFC conference in votes among all defensive ends with 72,506 votes.

It’s not all that surprising that Bosa is leading in votes. This season, he’s been a force in the trenches once again. Whether it’s getting after the quarterback or defending the run, his presence is known on a weekly basis.

Bosa has amassed 50 tackles (33 solo), 21 quarterback hits, 12 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks through 11 games.

The former Ohio State product has benefited from having his partner-in-crime, Melvin Ingram on the field. When both Ingram and Bosa are aligned on the same side, opposing offensive tackles are simply outmatched.

To solidify Bosa, along with your other favorite Chargers, you can go vote for them here.

3 Chiefs among leaders in 2020 Pro Bowl voting

Three Kansas City Chiefs are among the top Pro Bowl vote-getters for their respective position groups.

The Kansas City Chiefs have three players leading the way in the early 2020 Pro Bowl voting, according to an NFL press release.

This one might surprise Chiefs Kingdom a bit, but star quarterback Patrick Mahomes is second among AFC quarterbacks. He’s trailing Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, who leads all players in the balloting with over 145,000 votes. Mahomes has the second-most votes of any player, with 116,325 votes as of Nov. 20. If Mahomes is selected to the Pro Bowl, it would be his second selection in as many years as he’s been the starting QB in Kansas City.

After Mahomes, the Chiefs have two players leading their respective position groups. Tight end Travis Kelce is ahead at his position with 77,148 votes. If Kelce earns the honor, it would be his fifth consecutive selection to the Pro Bowl dating back to the 2015 season.

Finally, Kansas City could actually have a rookie make the Pro Bowl during his first year. Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman leads all players in the return specialist category (18,606 votes). I think Hardman’s performance has been worthy of going in at the wide receiver position, but if he has to sneak in as a return specialist you won’t find many fans complaining. I can recall another receiver on the Kansas City roster making the Pro Bowl early in his career as a return specialist. He turned out to be a great receiver, so things should end up all right for Hardman.

Fan voting for the 2020 Pro Bowl continues through Dec. 12 at NFL.com/ProBowlVote. During the final two weeks of Pro Bowl voting (Nov. 28 through Dec. 12), you’ll also be able to vote on Twitter using the hashtag “#ProBowlVote” plus players’ official Twitter handles or first names and last names.

It’s time to vote your favorite Broncos players to the Pro Bowl

Fan voting for the 2020 NFL Pro Bowl is now open. The polls will close in mid-December.

Fan voting for the 2020 Pro Bowl opened Tuesday.

Fans, coaches and players will each account for one-third of the voting. The AFC and NFC will each be represented by 44 players. Fan voting will conclude on Dec. 12 and the Pro Bowl rosters will be announced on NFL Network on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. MT.

Fans can vote for their favorite players at NFL.com/ProBowlVote.

The Denver Broncos were represented by three players in last season’s Pro Bowl: outside linebacker Von Miller, long snapper Casey Kreiter and cornerback Chris Harris. Running back Phillip Lindsay was also voted to the All-Star game but could not play due to injury.

Miller totaled two tackles and Harris intercepted a pass in the AFC’s 26-7 win over the NFC in the 2019 Pro Bowl.

Denver’s most deserving player this season might be safety Justin Simmons, who has played 1,582 consecutive snaps and is tied with inside linebacker Todd Davis as the Broncos’ leading tackler (53). Simmons has also broken up nine passes and totaled two interceptions this year.

The Pro Bowl will be played on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. The game will begin at 1 p.m. MT and will air on ESPN, ESPN Deportes, ABC and Disney XD. Tickets start at $45.
