These celebrities are the most famous fans of the Minnesota Vikings

Every team has celebrity fans. While some are more famous than others, it’s a joy for fans to be able to relate to celebrities who share the same fanhood as they do.

With Taylor Swift now “allegedly” dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, she is arguably the most famous fan in the world. Her Instagram account has 273 million followers as of this writing.

The Minnesota Vikings don’t have a celebrity with the popularity of a Swift, but the did have a Prince and many others. Here are the 12 of the most famous celebrity Vikings fans, including an homage to the late Prince of Paisley Park.

The 5 greatest Nothing Compares 2 U versions of all time, from Sinead O’Connor to Prince

The song was covered by so many artists, including the late Sinead O’Connor.

This week, we said goodbye to the legendary Sinead O’Connor, the Irish singer known for her incredible voice and SNL protest.

It has everyone singing her most famous recording, the cover of Prince’s Nothing Compares 2 U that was accompanied by a video of the singer staring into the camera — and into our souls — as she sang. Iconic.

And on the day O’Connor’s death was announced, P!nk and Brandi Carlile sang the song in front an awed crowd. The duet is gorgeous.

Is it one of the greatest versions of the song? I think so. Let’s dive in with the best of the best:

A resurfaced clip of Prince playing basketball on stage at a concert is just the best

Yup, he’s so good at hoops.

We’ve been over this, and fairly recently, too: Prince was awesome at basketball, and the much-watched Chappelle’s Show skit starring Charlie Murphy was true according to so many people, including Eddie Murphy, Micki Free and more.

Charlie Murphy’s name was trending on Friday with people watching a clip from a Prince concert that resurfaced on Twitter: he takes a ball, spins it on his finger with ease, hits a quick free throw without a problem through flashing lights and such, and watches as one of the members of his band does it too.

Yup. This is just magical. What a performer!

Perfect, isn’t it?

Eddie Murphy reveals new details about the Prince basketball game immortalized on ‘Chappelle’s Show’

!!!

We have spent years hearing more and more details from the infamous late-night basketball game played between Prince and his crew, and Eddie and Charlie Murphy, which became one of the all-time greatest sketches from Chappelle’s Show.

Was it true? There was Prince colleague Micki Free confirming it, including details about what was worn that night. There was Samuel L. Jackson saying Prince told him it was true. And there are countless stories about how good the late legend was at hoops.

On Thursday night, we heard from Eddie Murphy himself with an appearance on The Tonight Show. He told Jimmy Fallon basically the same thing his late brother said on Chappelle’s Show — Prince’s team won, and it was all true. But he added a detail: the one player on Eddie’s team that was good got some sneakers from Prince, who had feet who were smaller than the other guy’s. So the Murphys’ star player struggled on the court.

Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will be the halftime show at Super Bowl LIV when the Kansas City Chiefs meet the San Francisco 49ers Feb. 2. The bar is incredibly high for the intermission act in South Beach because the halftime show for XLI was the best of all. Prince put on a spectacular show that tops every other act who has had the honor of showing their talents for about 12 minutes.
