Fortnite is bringing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to the game, and I have so many questions

Huh????

No, you didn’t read that headline wrong at all. Yes, the simulation is getting a bit bonkers. Fortnite is really partnering with TIME to bring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. into the game. It’s, uh, pretty wild to say the least.

They’re calling the event a “March Through Time”, per a blog post from Playstation. Players will be able to embark on an “immersive journey” back in time to witness Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech in Washington D.C. circa 1963.

This seems, uh, pretty wild to say the least. I’m not sure anybody saw this coming from Fortnite. Ever, really. And I’ve got questions.

The Travis Scott and Playstation Nike Dunk collab from 2020 is actually a real thing

They really are real.

Last year when Nike and Travis Scott dropped their collaboration for the Playstation Dunks, it was truly unbelievable. Like literally. It was unbelievable. Like, we didn’t know whether they were actually a thing or not.

Well, I mean, let me clarify. They were definitely a thing. They had to be real — Nike would never market something that wasn’t real.

But there were only a handful of pairs in existence. We’d never seen them before. No one posted a picture of their raffle win. No one had ever been seen with a pair in hand. There was no sign that these things actually ever existed.

Until now. Someone posted the package to Twitter and, well, it’s actually a thing!

And it also comes with a Playstation! And a note from Travis Scott. That’s pretty dope.

So, boom. There we have it. These Dunks are actually real.

SPECIAL DELIVERY: These brand new Nike shoes really look like a PlayStation 5

This is the PlayStation 5 in sneaker form.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxjnPPyOLD8

Nike and Sony seem like an odd couple, but they actually have a pretty long history of working together.

It all starts with the PlayStation Air Force 1 that dropped in 2006. And through those 15 years, they’ve dropped a number of collaborations together on a few different silhouettes.

The latest one is the PlayStation PG5 of Paul George’s signature shoe line and the details on this thing are incredible.

It truly looks like a PlayStation 5 in sneaker form with colors and details matching a few exactly off of the system and its Dualsense controller. There’s a reason for that, though.

Sony actually gave Nike a sneak peek on what the PS5 looked like before anyone else saw it so they could build this shoe. The story is absolutely incredible.

Sykes and the crew dig into it as they unbox this masterpiece on the latest episode of Special Delivery. Tap in.

Sony finally unveiled the price and release date of the Playstation 5

Finally.

It felt like it took forever to actually get a first look at the Playstation 5 and what the system even looked like.

And then, even after we did, we had no idea how much it would be or even when it would be available for pre-orders or in stores. Now, we actually have a bit of information to work with. There was no pre-order date given, but we officially have a price and release date for the Playstation 5.

Sony officially released all of the information we’ve been waiting for on the system during a Playstation event they hosted on Wednesday afternoon.

The standard edition comes in at $499, matching the price of the X Box Series X. The digital only version of the system comes in at $399, which is $100 more than the X Box Series S.

It all drops on November 12.

Now we finally know. All that’s left to give us is a pre-order date. Get on it, Sony.

The PS5 has finally been revealed to the public and it looks great

FINALLY.

It feels like it took forever, but the day has finally come. We’ve now officially gotten our first look at the Playstation 5.

Sony revealed their next generation gaming console at its Future of Gaming show on Thursday evening. There had been a handful of other events ahead of this one where fans were waiting on a PS5 reveal, but were instead teased with a look at the controller and things like graphics and game mechanics instead.

Those things are great! But they’re not what people have been looking for. Most folks simply want to know what the thing looks like and how much it’s going to cost them.

Now, they’ve finally gotten their wish. Here it is.

That’s not all. At the launch, they’re coming with TWO separate editions of the system — the standard and the digital edition. We don’t know the difference just yet.

People on Twitter were loving the new look.

There’s no price or release date on the system just yet. But, hey, at least we finally know what it looks like. And it is good.

Watch eight minutes of new ‘The Last of Us Part II’ gameplay footage here

This game looks AMAZING.

I have to be honest with y’all. The Last of Us was a really good game, but I found it a tad bit overrated.

Don’t get me wrong — the storytelling elements of the game were enthralling. The characters and voice actors in the game were spectacular. But this ain’t a movie. It’s a video game. And the gameplay, for the most part, felt a bit slow and clunky.

From what we’ve seen so far of The Last of Us Part II, though? This game looks like it’s going to be amazing.

Sony broadcasted new gameplay video of TLOU 2 and it looks absolutely spectacular. Here’s a nine minute clip.

You can watch the entire video here.

The still images from the gameplay are just as unreal. I’m already imagining it on my television screen. Here’s a whole thread of ’em.

This game was certainly highly anticipated before. After today? Man, June 19 can’t get here quickly enough. Finna get this pre-order in right now.
