Plenty of options at positions of need for the Saints at the 2024 Senior Bowl

Plenty of options at positions of need for the Saints at the 2024 Senior Bowl

The Senior Bowl is always a big step for the New Orleans Saints in their pre-draft process — they drafted three players from the event last year and signed a couple more as undrafted free agents. And this year’s Senior Bowl has plenty of talent. The Saints will have scouts and coaches in attendance evaluating the upcoming 2024 draft prospects through a week of interviews and three days of practices leading up to the all-star game itself.

We’ve highlighted some players to watch at positions of need for the Saints as all eyes turn to the Senior Bowl:

The Gators are in for a battle, and what better way to prepare than to scout the enemy?

Here are five Kentucky Wildcats every Florida Gators fan should know heading into the Week 5 matchup.

5 Broncos players to watch vs. Bears

Here are the Broncos players we’ll be keeping an eye on this Sunday.

The first blunder bowl of 2023 is upon us, and it features none other than the Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos in a matchup that will determine who’s season is truly over for the loser and who’s season is just probably over for the winner. Both Chicago and Denver are sporting winless records despite each having high hopes entering the season.

The Bears were set to take the next step in their rebuild led by Justin Fields, but have been plagued by no offensive rhythm and a soft defense. The Broncos, meanwhile, traded for head coach Sean Payton to help clean up last year’s mess and get the most out of Russell Wilson, but their problems have been on defense after they were gashed the last two weeks, surrendering 105 points in total.

Despite their record and embarrassing performances as of late, the Broncos still have players that could be a nuisance for the Bears to match up against. Here are five players from Denver we’ll be watching on Sunday.

With injuries both healing and occurring, Texas A&M and Arkansas have intriguing players to watch

Texas A&M will be without its usual starting quarterback. Arkansas should be with its All-American running back.

Max Johnson. In.

Connor Weigman. Out.

Rocket Sanders. In?

A number of changes on the injury front for both Texas A&M and Arkansas could drastically alter the face of Saturday’s Southwest Classic between the two teams.

Reports out of College Station indicate that starting quarterback Connor Weigman will miss the Arkansas game – and perhaps the season – with a foot injury, leading to Max Johnson’s likely start.

And in Fayetteville, preseason All-American running back Rocket Sanders, who has missed the last three games with a knee injury, is clearly healing from his malady and seems poised to make his return against the Aggies.

The injury report likely won’t swing the game completely in Arkansas’ expected favor, but could see a sign of change from the expected way the game shakes out Saturday.

Let’s take a look at those players and some others to keep an eye at kickoff.

Five Charlotte 49ers every Florida fan should know

Florida fans might not know too much about the Charlotte 49ers heading into Week 4, so here are five players Gators fans should get to know.

The Florida Gators are just days away from hosting the Charlotte 49ers in front of a sold-out crowd at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, but most of the fans that will attend the game likely know little about UF’s incoming opponent.

That is where we come in.

Charlotte’s not the most intimidating opponent, but there are some threats to consider on both offense and defense.

Below are five players that every Gators fan should know heading into Saturday’s contest. Should the 49ers show a little bit of fight on the road, it will likely be these five making the difference against Florida.

5 Buccaneers players to watch vs. Bears

If the Bears hope to get their first win of the season, here are some players to watch on the Buccaneers.

The Chicago Bears are turning the page after their dreadful 38-20 Week 1 loss to the Green Bay Packers and are preparing for their first road game of the season. The Bears are set to travel south to Florida to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2.

Tampa Bay isn’t the team they have been the last few years after the retirement of Tom Brady, but they did get off to a strong start to begin the year behind new quarterback Baker Mayfield. The Buccaneers defeated the Minnesota Vikings on the road in a tough 20-17 victory thanks to big defensive plays and timely scoring.

If the Bears want to get a win and stave off the dreaded 0-2 start this weekend, here are a few players we’ll need to keep an eye on:

5 Packers players to watch vs. Bears in Week 1

All eyes will be on Jordan Love on Sunday but what about the other Packers? Here are five players we’ll be watching from Green Bay.

We’re just hours away from the start of the 2023 NFL season for the Chicago Bears, and they kick things off by renewing their historic rivalry with the Green Bay Packers. The Bears and Packers meet for the 207th time, but this matchup will look a bit different than ones in the past.

For the first time in over three decades, the Packers will open the season with someone other than Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers starting at quarterback as they enter a new era. All eyes will be on fourth-year quarterback Jordan Love as he officially takes over for Rodgers. But while Love is easily the most intriguing player on Green Bay, there are others to watch for as well.

Here are five Packers players we’ll be watching on Sunday.

Five McNeese State Cowboys every Gators fan should know for Week 2

The Florida Gators are expecting a bounce-back win over the McNeese State Cowboys on Saturday. Here are five opposing players to watch for.

The Florida Gators are hoping to make quick work of McNeese State Cowboys on Saturday and improve to 1-1 on the season.

The Cowboys fell to another FCS program last week and gave up 50 points, including a 35-point second half from Tarleton State. Florida’s offense should be far more potent and be able to put up similar numbers, and the defense shouldn’t struggle too much after a fairly strong Week 1.

Still, it’s important to know the enemy as well as possible, and the Gators should prepare like it’s any other game on the schedule. With that in mind, here’s a look at five McNeese State Cowboys that Florida fans should know heading into Week 2.

8 Bears players to watch in preseason finale vs. Bills

Here are eight players we’ll be watching for when the Bears take on the Bills in Saturday’s preseason finale.

Just as quickly as it started, the 2023 NFL preseason finale is already here for the Chicago Bears, meaning the regular season isn’t far away. The Bears take on the Buffalo Bills on Saturday at noon CT at Soldier Field in a game that will serve as a tune-up for both teams.

Bears head coach Matt Eberflus announced that the starters on offense and defense who are healthy will see action, including Justin Fields. Head coach Sean McDermott of the Bills is doing the same with his team before giving way to the reserves.

Saturday’s contest will be the final chance for many players to make their case for why they deserve a spot on the final roster. But it’s also an opportunity to see the starters get game action since most of them sat out last week’s preseason game against the Colts. Here are eight players to keep an eye on when the Bears and Bills kick off.

6 players to watch in Chiefs’ preseason finale vs. Browns

Keep your eye on these six #Chiefs when Kansas City plays the #Browns on Saturday.

The Kansas City Chiefs will look to finish their preseason schedule on a high note with a win over the Cleveland Browns on Saturday. After suffering a heartbreaking defeat in their first exhibition matchup against the New Orleans Saints, Kansas City bounced back to beat the Arizona Cardinals last week in a blowout win.

While many Chiefs are likely to see limited action in Saturday’s tilt, others will be fighting for a spot on Kansas City’s 53-man roster in their final preseason dress rehearsal for the team’s 2023 campaign.
