Here are the #Nets player grades for Brooklyn’s 122-115 loss to the Miami Heat on Thursday.

The Brooklyn Nets visited Kaseya Center on Thursday to face the Miami Heat and lost 122-115.

For the Nets, Lonnie Walker IV had 23 points and three rebounds off the bench while Mikal Bridges had 23 points and five assists. Nic Claxton had 16 points and Cam Johnson had 16 points.

For the Heat, Jimmy Butler had 36 points and five rebounds while Duncan Robinson had 26 points and two assists. Bam Adebayo had 20 points and Jaime Jaquez Jr. had 10 points.

In the first half, both teams played even for much of the half and neither team could separate much from the other with some big plays made by both sides. However, Miami used a 14-0 run to end the quarter leading Brooklyn 60-52.

In the second half, Miami took control of the game thanks to Butler starting to take control of the game on the offensive end of the floor. Once Butler got going from the field, that allowed players like Robinson and Adebayo to take advantage of the extra attention that Butler drew to have more points of their own.

Player grades: Spencer Dinwiddie drops 29 as Nets beat Magic 124-104

Here are your #Nets player grades for Tuesday’s 124-104 win over the Orlando Magic in the In-Season Tournament.

NEW YORK — The Brooklyn Nets played the third game of its In-Season Tournament slate at Barclays Center on Tuesday against the Orlando Magic and won 124-104.

For the Nets, Spencer Dinwiddie had 29 points and nine assists while Mikal Bridges had 21 points and four steals. Cam Johnson had 20 points and Royce O’Neale had 13 points off the bench.

For the Magic, Franz Wagner had 21 points and eight rebounds while Paolo Banchero had 19 points and six rebounds. Goga Bitadze had 14 points and Moritz Wagner had 11 points off the bench.

In the first half, the Nets came out like a team knowing that they had to make every second count as they got out to the 14-point lead in the first quarter. However, in the second quarter, through a series of miscues and fouls to Nic Claxton and Day’Ron Sharpe, the Magic battled back into the game and ended up taking a 60-57 lead into halftime.

In the second half, both teams took shots to go back and forth with each other in the third quarter before things turned on its head. In the fourth quarter, Brooklyn finally became the team that some envisioned them to be as they were stout on the defensive end and turning defense into the offense in a huge way to run away with this game.

Player grades: Mikal Bridges scores 27 as Nets beat Wizards 102-94

Here are the Brooklyn #Nets player grades following Sunday’s 102-94 win over the Washington Wizards.

NEW YORK — The Brooklyn Nets hosted the Washington Wizards for some Sunday afternoon basketball and won 102-94.

For the Nets, Mikal Bridges had 27 points and 13 rebounds while Cam Johnson had 14 points and six rebounds. Spencer Dinwiddie had 12 points and Nic Claxton had 10 points.

For the Wizards, Bilal Coulibaly had 20 points and seven rebounds while Kyle Kuzma had 15 points and four rebounds. Deni Avdija had 14 points and Jordan Poole had 12 points.

In the first half, Brooklyn got out to a fast start as they went up 16-6 with 5:25 left in the first quarter. Washington closed the gap in the second quarter as the shooting for the Nets fell off by a considerable amount compared to how they were shooting in the first quarter.

In the second half, it seemed that both teams were in cruise control as each team took turns committing inexplicable turnovers or missing easy shots that they probably make in their sleep. In the end, the Nets made about two or three plays when they mattered most to help them come away with the win after this eyesore of a game.

Player grades: Lonnie Walker IV scores 20 as Nets fall to Celtics 121-107

Here are the Nets player grades for Friday’s 121-107 In-Season Tournament 121-107 loss to the Boston Celtics.

The Brooklyn Nets visited TD Garden on Friday to play their second game of the In-Season Tournament against the Boston Celtics and lost 121-107.

For the Nets, Lonnie Walker IV had 20 points and seven rebounds while Trendon Watford had 14 points and seven rebounds. Dennis Smith Jr. had 14 points and Spencer Dinwiddie had 12 points.

For the Celtics, Jaylen Brown had 28 points and five assists while Jayson Tatum had 23 points and 10 rebounds. Sam Hauser had 15 points off the bench and Jrue Holiday had 13 points.

In the first half, the Nets lost the half by 12 points as they had trouble stopping Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum from scoring easily against their defense. While Brooklyn had similar shooting numbers to Boston, the Celtics just had too much offensive firepower for the Nets to be able to deal with.

In the second half, Brooklyn made some progress in lowering its deficit in the third quarter as Brown and Tatum started to cool off a bid from their torrid first-half scoring pace. In the fourth quarter, however, Brown and Tatum started to regain their rhythm and once Brooklyn had issues scoring outside of Lonnie Walker IV, the Celtics began to pull away until the Nets waived the white flag with about eight minutes to go in the period.

20 highest-graded Oklahoma Sooners through Week 10 per Pro Football Focus

The 20 highest-graded Oklahoma Sooners through week 10 per Pro Football Focus.

Though the Oklahoma Sooners are on a two-game losing streak, they’ve already surpassed their win total from a year ago with three games to go and a bowl game.

They still have a shot at a Big 12 title game berth. And after 6-7, that’s all we can really ask for.

The offense has shown improvement on third down and in the red zone. Dillon Gabriel is having a career year. The defense has shown significant improvement this season. A year ago, they allowed 30 or more points seven times. This year that’s only happened once against Kansas. Texas scored 30, but seven of those can be attributed to special teams on the blocked punt.

Yes, they lost winnable games the last two weeks, playing uncharacteristically sloppy football. Otherwise, they’ve been a really good team this year.

As they get ready to close the season, here are the top 20 highest-graded players according to Pro Football Focus through week 10.

Player grades: Lonnie Walker IV drops 21 as Nets beat Clippers 100-93

Here are the Nets player grades after the Brooklyn Nets beat the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday 100-93.

NEW YORK — The Brooklyn Nets played their third straight game at home on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Clippers and won 100-93.

For the Nets, Lonnie Walker IV had 21 points and one steal while Cam Thomas had 14 points and two rebounds before leaving the game in the third quarter due to his left ankle injury. Dorian Finney-Smith had 12 points and Royce O’Neale had 12 points.

For the Clippers, Paul George had 24 points and seven rebounds while Kawhi Leonard had 17 points and six rebounds. Russell Westbrook had 13 points and James Harden had 12 points.

In the first half, it was the opposite of what Nets fans have been accustomed to so far this season as neither team could buy a bucket in this half. It seemed that the defensive intensity rose as the half wore on and both teams weren’t getting many open or easy shots.

In the second half, Brooklyn continued to stifle Los Angeles’ offense with the way that the Nets kept sending a second body towards George and Leonard. It looked like that worked wonders as the Clippers big four had underwhelming performances across the board which was unlikely to see prior to this matchup.
