Body language reveals tension between Steelers OC Matt Canada and Kenny Pickett

You don’t have to be a psychologist to accurately read the body language from Kenny Pickett during today’s loss to Cleveland.

You don’t have to be a psychologist to accurately read the body language in this clip of Kenny Pickett and Matt Canada during today’s loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Canada is seen spouting an earful on the sideline bench when Pickett turns his head away. Oh, to be a fly on the bench to hear what was said.

Fans have been playing the blame game between the quarterback and offensive coordinator since Pickett was a rookie. I think it’s safe to say they’re both at fault for the Steelers’ offensive flounderings, but Pickett has been downright awful. As remedial as their offense is, he simply needs to scan the field better and connect with his receivers.

Pickett had the worst game of his 23-game career, completing just 53.6% of his passes (15/28) for 106 yards. Cleveland’s defense is the best in the league and dominates in several categories, but they were not why Pickett struggled today, despite what Mike Tomlin said postgame.

“They’ve got a really good defense,” he said via Alan Saunders of Steelers Now. “They make a lot of offenses look like that.”
