ESPN plans to make a second season of ‘Peyton’s Places’

Peyton Manning says Disney hopes to film a second season of ‘Peyton’s Places’ for ESPN Plus.

Can’t get enough of Peyton’s Places on ESPN Plus? Good news — the show is planning to film a second season!

“Telling the history of the NFL for the last 100 years was a lot of fun and hopefully, when things get back to normal, we’re going to shoot for Season 2,” Manning said during an appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter on Sunday. “[We’ll] finish some of the stories that we didn’t get to tell last year. So, hopefully once things get back to normal, we can get a chance to do that.”

Manning said breaking down film with Joe Nameth was the most memorable part of the series for him.

“To sit down and watch Super Bowl III with Joe Nameth, to watch the actual game film, I could have done that for a week,” Manning said.

The 30-episode show has received mostly positive reviews from football fans. Here’s what Cindy Ellenbecker had to say on Google:

I’d give 10 stars if I could. My husband was given the ESPN+ subscription for Christmas specifically so that he could watch Peyton’s Places. So far, we have seen about 7 of them and they are fantastic! Hearing the old stories, seeing the old clips and seeing Peyton Manning talking to the heros of football is priceless. Each segment is informative and humorous. You could not have found a better host for this tribute to the NFL’s 100th Anniversary! I hope that you will make this series available in a DVD set someday so that I can give it to my Dad who would love this but does not have a smart TV or computer.

Manning, 44, won Super Bowls with the Colts and Broncos during his 18-year career. He will be eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021.
