Report: Deuce Knight to visit Auburn for second-straight weekend

Four-star Notre Dame pledge will be on Auburn’s campus this weekend to watch the Tigers battle Cal.

Auburn football will get another chance to sway Notre Dame commit [autotag]Deuce Knight[/autotag] this weekend.

According to a report from Steve Wiltfong of On3, Knight is returning to Auburn this weekend to watch the Tigers face California at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Knight was a part of a star-studded visitor list for Auburn’s season opener against Alabama A&M last weekend that included four-star linebacker [autotag]Elijah Melendez[/autotag], four-star running back [autotag]Ousmane Kromah[/autotag], and Alabama’s top 2025 recruit, [autotag]Na’eem Offord[/autotag].

According to Wiltfong, Knight has built relationships with Hugh Freeze and the director of recruiting Kenyatta Watson has led to the upward trend. Also, the possibility of playing quarterback in the SEC intrigues Knight.

Although still committed to Notre Dame, Knight has remained a high priority for Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers. Rumors began circulating about a possible flip since Big Cat Weekend in July, an event Knight attended. The Lucedale, Mississippi native has a 91.1% forecast from On3 to flip to Auburn while Steve Robertson and Tom Loy of 247Sports have submitted flip predictions in favor of Auburn.

Knight is a top-10 quarterback according to all major recruiting outlets for the 2025 class and ranks as high as No. 2 in the state of Mississippi.

Auburn receives expert prediction to land four-star RB Ousmane Kromah

Kromah was one of many high-profile targets to visit Auburn over the weekend. Has Auburn officially closed the deal?

Auburn football convincingly won its season opener over the weekend. Not only was it a successful weekend on the gridiron, but the Tigers also notched a win on the recruiting trail.

Several key targets were on hand to watch Auburn dismantle Alabama A&M on Saturday, including four-star running back [autotag]Ousmane Kromah[/autotag]. Kromah, a native of Leesburg, Georgia, told Jeffrey Lee of Auburn Live that his visit went better than he expected.

The experience, just being around all the people, was way better than the last time I was here … 100 percent,” Kromah said. “It just made me like Auburn way more.”

Following Kromah’s visit, On3’s Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong logged predictions that favored Auburn to land the four-star back. Wiltfong says that Auburn appears to be the frontrunner despite Kromah’s upcoming visits to Georgia and South Carolina. Simmons says that he personally likes Auburn’s chances to add Kromah to their 2025 haul even more than he did in June when Auburn flipped four-star running back Alvin Henderson from Penn State.

Following the predictions from Wiltfong and Simmons, Auburn now has a 90.1% chance to sign Kromah, with Florida State, Tennessee, and Georgia next in line. Kromah is considered a top-10 running back by every major recruiting outlet and ranks as high as No. 75 nationally according to Rivals.

Five-star Ohio State pledge Na’eem Offord to visit Auburn on Saturday

Auburn is working hard to flip Alabama’s top 2025 recruit from Ohio State.

Auburn football’s star-studded visitors list for the season opener against Alabama A&M just got brighter.

[autotag]Na’eem Offord[/autotag], an Ohio State pledge and Alabama’s top recruit from the 2025 cycle, is scheduled to visit the Plains this weekend. Joining him are four-star quarterback [autotag]Deuce Knight[/autotag] (Notre Dame commit), four-star linebacker [autotag]Elijah Melendez[/autotag] (Miami commit), and four-star running back [autotag]Ousmane Kromah[/autotag].

Saturday will be Offord’s first visit to Auburn since Big Cat Weekend last month. Offord says that he enjoyed the weekend visit and that Auburn coaches are working to keep him in the state.

“I’m currently committed to Ohio State, but still enjoying the process,” Offord said following his visit to Auburn for Big Cat Weekend. “With Auburn, I’m an in-state guy, so they want to recruit me as hard as they can.”

Offord is the No. 1 recruit from Alabama for the 2025 cycle according to 247Sports. Getting Offord on campus is important for Auburn as they look to complete the top-10 sweep of Alabama’s top recruits. Currently, eight of Alabama’s top 10 recruits are committed to Auburn with Offord and four-star EDGE [autotag]Zion Grady[/autotag], a fellow Ohio State pledge, not following suit.

Could Auburn wrap up the weekend by gaining an advantage with both Knight and Offord?

Four-star running back Ousame Kromah ‘feeling needed’ by Auburn

Could Kromah and Alvin Henderson be Auburn’s next best running back duo?

2025 four-star running back[autotag]Ousame Kromah[/autotag] is one of the last remaining highly coveted backs in his class.

The Leesburg, Georgia native may not be ready to make a decision just yet, but he is prepared to make one “soon.” On campus for ‘Big Cat Weekend’ this week,[autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] and his staff have one final chance to sway the consensus top 100 prospect to the Plains.

Kromah has made it a point in his recruiting journey to feel needed by whatever program he chooses. Auburn’s staff has done a good job making their need for a back feel apparent, according to the Lee County High School star.

“”First of all, they need a back… [Auburn] didn’t sign anybody in the ’24 class. That’s good for me because that means there’s a need for me, Kromah said. “That feeling (at Auburn) of being welcomed is what could push a person to go somewhere.”

Seeing the vast amount of talent on the Plains, especially not at his position, at ‘Big Cat Weekend’ is surely something that will be on Kromah’s mind over the next few days. If Hugh Freeze was able to land the four-star recruit, Auburn would beat out a long list of highly successful programs including SEC rivals Georgia and Alabama in the pursuit of his talents.

Four-star 2025 running back sets June official visit with Florida

The Florida Gators are getting one of the top running backs in the class of 2025, Ousmane Kromah, on campus for an official visit.

Florida uses more than one running back in its offense every year, so pursuing a second rusher in the 2025 class makes a lot of sense, especially when it’s a player as talented as Lee County High’s (Leesburg, Georgia) [autotag]Ousman Kromah[/autotag].

The Gators plan on hosting Kromah at least two more times, including an official visit according to Swamp247. The hope is to get him on campus next week for an unofficial and the official is already penciled in for the weekend of June 14.

Miami (May 31), Florida State (June 7) and Georgia (June 21) are the other official visits on his summer travel schedule right now. He’s running out of slots for the summer, but in-season trips could be added if he’s still undecided.

Recruiting Summary

Kromah is a consensus four-star recruit ranked the highest by On3 at No. 67 overall. His good marks across the board have him even higher on the On3 industry ranking at No. 65 nationally and No. 4 among running backs in class. The 247Sports composite is even higher on him at Nos. 62 and 4, respectively.

Florida State is the favorite to land a commitment from Kromah, with 31.6% odds on the On3 recruiting prediction machine. Georgia (22.2%), Florida (14.4%) and Miami (12.0%) round out the top four.

Michigan football offers elite 2025 RB from a familiar high school in Georgia

He’s an absolute game-breaker already. #GoBlue

Back in 2016, Michigan football made huge headlines across the college football landscape, having accepted two verbal commitments from Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County.

Only one would stick (albeit just for just one year) in former five-star defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon, who ended up transferring to Tennessee. Linebacker Otis Reese kept with his commitment until signing day in 2018, when he flipped to Georgia before eventually transferring to Ole Miss.

Now the Wolverines are hoping to bring another player from Lee County, Georgia into the fold. Rated a four-star and the No. 50 player in the country, regardless of position, according to the 247Sports Composite, running back Ousmane Kromah announced on Twitter that he now has an offer from Michigan football.

Naturally, hailing from a big-time high school in SEC territory means he already has offers from some of the biggest schools in the country, including Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Tennessee. But with the Wolverines featuring the running back position more than most, the maize and blue could get into the race — especially since he’s still a high school sophomore about to become a junior.

Kromah is already at 6-foot-2, 210-pounds, even at his age. Check out his highlights below:
