Is Loghan Thomas playing today? Injury updates for Notre Dame defensive lineman

Notre Dame defensive lineman Loghan Thomas is dealing with a right hamstring injury. Here are the latest updates.

Defensive lineman [autotag]Loghan Thomas[/autotag] is out for the No. 10 Notre Dame Fighting Irish tonight against the Florida State Seminoles.

The freshman is sidelined with a right hamstring injury.

Notre Dame has listed all other student-athletes on the two-deep roster as available. That makes us wonder if kicker [autotag]Mitch Jeter[/autotag] is finally ready to play as he deals with a hip injury.

The Fighting Irish also return freshman cornerback Tae Johnson as the backup to [autotag]Leonard Moore[/autotag]. [autotag]Karon Hobbs[/autotag], who was in that spot last week, is now the backup nickel corner to [autotag]Jordan Clark[/autotag].

Otherwise, the Irish are getting healthier, though key players such as [autotag]Jordan Botelho[/autotag] are out for the season.

Notre Dame injury update

Notre Dame will be without Loghan Thomas this week, and [autotag]Jason Onye[/autotag] remains out for personal reasons.

How long will Loghan Thomas be out?

It is unclear how long Thomas will be out beyond this week.

Notre Dame defensive lineman depth chart

Thomas’ loss will be felt, but the Irish still have a deep defensive line. Thomas was already listed at third on the depth chart for the Vyper pass-rushing position behind [autotag]Joshua Burnham[/autotag] and [autotag]Junior Tuihalamaka[/autotag].

Marcus Freeman updates Mitch Jeter, Tae Johnson and Loghan Thomas injuries

The Irish are fairly healthy ahead of its matchup vs. Florida State

With a week off from being on the field competing, Notre Dame football was hoping to be very healthy as they are getting to face a beat up Florida State team.

That will be somewhat the case, as the biggest injury news coming from Irish head coach Marcus Freeman’s Monday press conference was that kicker Mitch Jeter is still questionable as the week of preparation begins.

While the Notre Dame starting kicker has improved, he still isn’t out of the woods in terms of health as he is listed as questionable. Defensive end Loghan Thomas is also listed as questionable, but his impact isn’t nearly as big as Jeter’s is.

The good news is that the Irish will welcome back freshman safety Tae Johnson, who has not practiced until this week. It’s highly unlikely we see him on the field, but getting him back healthy is important.

One other player of note that isn’t active is defensive end Jason Onye, who hasn’t been with the team as he is dealing with a personal issue. Freeman supports his absence and he’ll be welcomed back to the team when ready.

Notre Dame missing just one player versus Stanford

Notre Dame is pretty healthy for the matchup with Stanford.

The injury report is out for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish against the Stanford Cardinal, and all but one of the players listed on the two-deep roster this week are available.

Junior defensive lineman Jason Onye is out for personal reasons.

While it’s good news to see the Irish have a relatively clean bill of health going into the game against Stanford, the defensive line is already depleted with the losses of Jordan Botelho and Boubacar Traore for the year.

On the other hand, defensive lineman Gabe Rubio was seen participating in early warmups. Rubio broke his foot during fall camp.

Even though Notre Dame is expected to beat Stanford, the Irish can use all the help they can get on the defensive line.

Notre Dame still has playoff hopes.

Notre Dame Week 5 injury report is clean

Here is the Notre Dame Week 5 injury report.

The No. 16 Notre Dame Fighting Irish will need all hands on deck against the No. 15 Louisville Cardinals in South Bend today.

And with the obvious exception of players who are out for the season, the injury report looks clean for this week.

Every player listed on the team’s two-deep roster will be available for the Irish as they face their first real test since losing to Northern Illinois.

A win keeps Notre Dame’s playoff hopes alive, while a loss could end the playoff run. At the very least, if the Irish lose to Louisville, they will be hoping for a lot of other big losses in the Top 25 over the remainder of the season.

Louisville presents a huge challenge for Notre Dame, and while the Irish are missing players like Jordan Botelho who are done for the season, they at least have a relatively healthy roster for the showdown with the Cardinals.

Notre Dame Week 4 injury report lists just one defensive lineman

The Notre Dame injury report looks pretty good against Miami of Ohio

The only name on the Notre Dame injury report for Week 4 is Joshua Burnham.

The sophomore defensive lineman is out with an ankle injury as the Fighting Irish host the Miami of Ohio Redhawks.

Otherwise, all the players listed on the Fighting Irish two-deep are available.

There are, of course, players like offensive tackle Charles Jagusah and defensive lineman Jordan Botelho who are out for the season.

Otherwise the Irish look pretty healthy as they seek to avoid another letdown against a Mid-American Conference team at home. The Redhawks should be an easier foe than the Northern Ilinois Huskies.

The injury report could’ve been more dire as the Irish got a bit banged up against Purdue, but while losing Botelho for the season is a blow, it’s good for Notre Dame that most of the roster will be available.

Notre Dame offensive lineman Tosh Baker out against Northern Illinois

Hope he’s back soon.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. Not long before Notre Dame was set to take the field against Northern Illinois, an additional injury was announced. This one will further hit the depth of an offensive line already depleted by injuries.

[autotag]Tosh Baker[/autotag] has been a reliable offensive lineman for the Irish over the past few seasons, appearing in 38 games. The depth chart released earlier this week had him lined up as the backup to starting left tackle [autotag]Anthonie Knapp[/autotag]. This was to follow up his time on special teams against Texas A&M.

Now, a shoulder injury will keep him out against the Huskies per this report:

https://twitter.com/NDFootballPR/status/1832488694495764959

Already ruled out for this game were receiver [autotag]Jordan Faison[/autotag], safety [autotag]Tae Johnson[/autotag] and defensive lineman [autotag]Gabriel Rubio[/autotag].

The good news is the Irish still should have more than enough available talent to defeat the Huskies. While this week’s pregame injury report isn’t as clean as last week’s, there isn’t anything too devastating to report here. Let’s hope it stays that way during the game.

Notre Dame football updates their availability report ahead of facing Ohio State

Great news for the Irish ahead of their tilt against Ohio State

There is already good news for [autotag]Notre Dame football[/autotag], they will be at full strength for their contest against Ohio State.

The Irish missed two major contributors against Central Michigan last week, linebacker [autotag]JD Bertrand[/autotag] and tight end [autotag]Mitchell Evans[/autotag]. Both of them are ready to go this week, along with defensive tackle [autotag]Gabriel Rubio[/autotag] who has been working his way back from an injury.

Everyone will be needed to perform at a high level against the Buckeyes, as they are one of the top teams in the country. With all players who were nursing any sort of injury ready to go, it looks like it will be all hands on deck for [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] and the Irish.

Notre Dame injury update: Only one Irish player ruled out

There is just one Notre Dame football player that has been ruled out of today’s contest against Louisville, wide receiver Lawrence Keys III.

It’s always good news when there aren’t many players showing up on an injury report. That’s exactly the case today as just one player, wide receiver Lawrence Keys III will miss today’s matchup against Louisville.

That means the Irish are virtually at full strength, as Keys III had lost his punt returning job and hasn’t really factored into the passing game this year. Great to see the Irish healthy as they face the Cardinals today.
