Below, we look at Pitt vs. North Carolina odds from BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds before making our expert college football picks and predictions later in the week.

North Carolina lost 21-20 at Duke Saturday, suffering its 2nd straight loss. The Tar Heels, who were 1.5-point favorites, led their in-state rivals 20-0 midway through the 3rd quarter, but Duke scored the final 3 touchdowns — 2 in the 4th quarter — to claim the win. UNC has not covered the spread in its last 9 games, going 0-8-1 against the spread (ATS) since.

First look: North Carolina vs. South Carolina odds and lines

Looking at Saturday’s North Carolina vs. South Carolina college football odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The North Carolina Tar Heels and the South Carolina Gamecocks open the regular season on Saturday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET (ABC). Below, we look at North Carolina vs. South Carolina odds from BetMGM Sportsbook. Also see: SportsbookWire’s college football picks and predictions.

The Tar Heels welcome back ACC Player of the Year QB Drake Maye to lead the UNC offense, and he provided a lot of fireworks in an exciting freshman season. While Maye no longer has WR Josh Downs to lean upon, incoming transfer WRs Nate McCollum and Tez Walker will help ease the pain.

UNC’s D stood more for disaster than defense last season, but it should be much improved from a season ago. The Heels added some key parts via the transfer portal (of course!), especially along the back end.

The Gamecocks enter feeling a little disrespected after being left out of both of the major Top 25 polls. QB Spencer Rattler is back to lead the offense, and this Gamecocks team is looking to take another step after posting 8 regular-season wins, including signature home wins over Kentucky and Tennessee, and a road win at Clemson.

North Carolina is No. 20 in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll.

The Tigers suffered a 31-30 loss to South Carolina this past Saturday, failing to cover as 14-point favorites at home. Clemson lost 2 of its last 4 games to conclude the regular season, which ruins its chances of advancing to the College Football Playoffs.

The Tar Heels lost 30-27 in overtime to North Carolina State this past Friday as they failed to cover as 6.5-point favorites. North Carolina lost its last 2 games to prevent itself from having any chance of sneaking into the College Football Playoffs — even with a win Saturday.

First look: NC State at North Carolina odds and lines

Looking at Friday’s NC State at North Carolina college football odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The NC State Wolfpack (7-4, 3-4 ACC) travel to Chapel Hill to take on the No. 17 North Carolina Tar Heels (9-2, 6-1) Friday. Kickoff from Kenan Stadium is at 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC). Below, we look at NC State vs. North Carolina school odds from Tipico Sportsbook; check back for all our college football picks and predictions.

Rankings courtesy the AFCA Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

The Wolfpack came into the season hoping to fight for the ACC Atlantic division in its final season of existence. Instead, an injury to QB Devin Leary has turned the season sideways and NC State is only 3-4 in conference play and a division title is out of the picture for coach Dave Doeren’s squad.

A playoff berth for North Carolina was firmly in its grasp before an ill-timed 21-17 loss to lowly Georgia Tech Saturday. UNC went up 17-0 early in the game before the Yellow Jackets mounted a comeback to beat coach Mack Brown and Heisman-hopeful QB Drake Maye.

UNC is still going to play in the conference title game against Clemson in Charlotte, but playoffs are out of the picture and the only thing the Tar Heels are playing for in this game is state pride.

NC State vs. North Carolina head-to-head

This is the 112th meeting in this long rivalry. UNC leads the series 68-37-6.

While North Carolina has dominated this series historically, NC State won 34-30 last season. That game had Leary under center for the Wolfpack and QB Sam Howell for the Tar Heels, so things will look different this year.

May, who is 3rd in the country with 34 TDs and leads UNC with 597 rushing yards, will lead the Tar Heels into this game while the defense continues the struggles it has had all season.

North Carolina State will be playing for a spot in a better bowl and the hopes of Wolfpack fans heading into the 2023 season. The Team has limped down the stretch and a loss here could mean changes coming on the coaching staff.

First look: North Carolina at Wake Forest odds and lines

Looking at Saturday’s North Carolina Tar Heels at Wake Forest Demon Deacons college football odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The No. 14 North Carolina Tar Heels (8-1, 5-0 ACC) and Wake Forest Demon Deacons (6-3, 2-3) tangle Saturday at Truist Field in Winston-Salem. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN2). Below, we look at North Carolina vs. Wake Forest from Tipico Sportsbook; check back for all our college football picks and predictions.

Rankings courtesy the AFCA Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

North Carolina failed to cover as a 7.5-point favorite but still snuck by Virginia 31-28 Saturday. The win kept UNC undefeated in ACC play. At UVA, the high-octane Tar Heels — No. 17 in the College Football Playoff rankings (Nov. 1) — were held to their lowest single-game yardage total since Sept. 24. UNC, the leading offense in the ACC at 496.8 yards per game, was held to 455 total yards.

The Demon Deacons — tabbed 21st in the CFP rankings — averaged 41.4 points per game over their first 7 contests. However, including a 30-21 loss at current-No. 16 NC State Saturday (as a 3-point favorite), Wake Forest has tallied just 42 points over the last 2 weeks combined. WFU outgained the Wolfpack, 414 yards to 325, but was undone by a minus-3 margin in turnovers.

North Carolina vs. Wake Forest head-to-head

UNC and WFU are meeting on the gridiron for the 110th time. Including the North Carolina cover of a 2.5-point spread in a 58-55 game last year, the Tar Heels have gone 71-36-2 in the series.

Last year’s wild game only saw 1 more point than the 2020 UNC-WFU game. The Tar Heels beat the Deacons 59-53 in that game. The combined 225 points over the last 2 years were scored without the benefit of any overtime sessions. Not surprisingly, the Over hit in both those games and is 3-1 the last 4 times the Tar Heels and Deacons have tussled.

Wake Forest has won 3 straight — and 4 of the last 5 — meetings in Winston-Salem.

Final Four first look: North Carolina vs. Duke odds and lines

Analyzing Saturday’s North Carolina vs. Duke odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The North Carolina Tar Heels (28-9) and Duke Blue Devils (32-6) clash in a Final Four showdown Saturday in New Orleans. The rivalry battle at the Superdome is slated for an 8:49 tip-off. Below, we look at the North Carolina vs. Duke odds and lines; check back for our college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

The further we get down the road in these brackets, the more the journey has come to look like the backroads of Carolina. And now we edge closer to a rivalry that dates back more than a century — one with 256 games under its belt. But none like this.

North Carolina — the No. 8 seed from the East Region — is the fastest-paced team remaining in the tournament. The Tar Heels have averaged 77.5 points per game in going 11-1 since Feb. 19. Like their foes in this game, they are exceptional in keeping opposing shooters off the foul line. UNC is also a terrific defensive rebounding team.

Duke has advanced from the No. 2 seed in the East Region. The 10th-ranked team in the nation won the regular-season crown in the ACC. Head coach Mike Krzyzewski‘s final five in Durham is a young group but one among the best offensive teams in NCAA-I. Across four tourney games. the Devils have shot a robust 53.8% from the field.
