Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is done for the season and the receiving corps get even thinner in Philadelphia. The team placed the 29-year-old on Injured Reserve Thursday in an expected move after Jeffery left Monday night’s game versus the Giants with a non-contract foot injury.
Jeffery has endured injuries interrupting seasons throughout much of his eight-year career, only playing in all 16 games during the 2013, 2014 and 2017 seasons.
The former South Carolina Gamecock caught 43 passes for 490 yards this season, scoring four receiving touchdowns and adding one on the ground.
The Eagles (6-7) signed Robert Davis from the practice squad following the loss of Jeffery. Davis caught one pass for 11 yards in three games with the Redskins this season.
