Davenport is 247Sports’ No. 598 player in the class of 2025, No. 47 offensive tackle and No. 20 recruit from his home state of Ohio. Of note, he is ranked as a four-star prospect by On3, but a three-star by 247Sports and Rivals.

The offensive tackle is the program’s third commitment from its first official visit weekend of the class of 2025 recruiting cycle, joining four-star OT Logan Powell and three-star CB Rukeem Stroud. He is the No. 14 overall commitment in a class that now ranks No. 15 in the nation.

Davenport is also the fourth offensive lineman to join Wisconsin’s class of 2025, along with Powell, three-star Michael Roeske and three-star Cam Clark.

Luke Fickell’s hot start to the 2025 cycle is noteworthy after the program finished the 2024 cycle within the nation’s top 25 with a blue-chip ratio of 50%.

Wisconsin’s class should continue to grow as official weekends continue throughout June.

Wisconsin secures official visit with popular 2025 offensive tackle

Wisconsin top class of 2025 target OT Nolan Davenport will officially visit the Badgers the weekend of May 31.

The program offered Davenport back on April 28. The Massillon, Ohio native is currently a four-star recruit.

247Sports’ composite ranking has the offensive tackle as the No. 588 player in the class of 2025, No. 47 player at his position and No. 18 recruit from the state of Ohio. The popular recruit has received 33 Division 1 offers to this point, including from Ole Miss, Penn State, Stanford, Pittsburgh, Missouri, Purdue and Virginia Tech. Of note, he also plays to visit Michigan State in June.

The 6-foot-6, 260-pound athlete is a junior at Washington High School in Massillon, Ohio and is also a pitcher for the school’s varsity baseball team.

In 2023, Davenport made the transition from tight end to left tackle for Washington High School, per 247Sports’ Andrew Ivins. That is where he projects to play at the collegiate level.

Wisconsin has been one of the best programs at producing offensive linemen over the last 20 years. Luke Fickell has already secured the commitments of two offensive linemen in his class of 2025: Michael Roeske (Wautoma, WI) and Cam Clark (Dexter, MI). Davenport is high on the program’s list in the class.

Wisconsin offers three-star class of 2025 offensive lineman from Ohio

The Wisconsin Badgers offered Nolan Davenport, a three-star class of 2025 offensive tackle from Massillon, Ohio, on Saturday. The 6-foot-6, 260-pound athlete is a junior at Washington High School and he still has another season of high school football before he’d make the jump to the collegiate level.

Davenport has received 30 Division 1 offers to this point, including from Purdue, Indiana, Penn State, Michigan State and Wisconsin from within the Big Ten. With so many options and more likely to come, it’s unlikely that he would make any decision in the near future — but the Badgers are one of the better programs on his offer sheet.

Wisconsin has been one of the best programs at producing offensive linemen over the last 20 years. It wouldn’t come as a major surprise if Davenport wants to become part of that history.

Luke Fickell has already secured the commitments of two offensive linemen in his class of 2025: Michael Roeske (Wautoma, WI) and Cam Clark (Dexter, MI).
