On Thursday, former Alabama CB Nigel Knott announced his transfer to Eastern Carolina. Knott made an announcement in late January that he had entered the transfer portal.
Knott will have two years of eligibility remaining at ECU.

Knott did not play a single game this past season due to medical issues, according to head coach Nick Saban:
“Nigel Knott has redshirted medically for some of the medical issues that he had. He’s in school here. We want to support him and help him to get an education. He was a very good teammate for a lot of our players. He worked hard, really did a good job in this program, but the medical staff felt that it was not in his best interest to be able to continue to play football.”
Knott joins two other Alabama players who have found new homes. Former Alabama running back Jerome Ford transferred to Cincinnati and offensive tackle Scott Lashley transferred to Mississippi State. There are also two other Alabama players in the transfer portal: cornerback Scooby Carter and tight end Giles Amos.
