As the playoff races in each conference heat up, here are the NFL power rankings ahead of Week 15.

The Buffalo Bills kept their playoff hopes alive by winning their third consecutive regular season game in Kansas City. Plus. the Dallas Cowboys took over the NFC East lead by keeping the Eagles’ offense out of the end zone.

As the playoff races in each conference heat up, here are the NFL power rankings ahead of Week 15.

Titans NFL power rankings round-up going into Week 14

Where the Titans sit in the NFL power rankings of experts going into Week 14.

After yet another gut-wrenching loss in Week 13, one can certainly assume that the Tennessee Titans will be staying put or moving down in at least the majority of the NFL power rankings of experts going into Week 14.

When it comes to USA TODAY’s Nate Davis, he has the Titans moving down three spots from No. 19 to No. 22. Here’s what he had to say about Tennessee following the team’s latest loss:

22. Titans (19): If you saw Sunday’s game, their first loss in Nashville this season, little surprise that special teams coordinator Craig Aukerman got sacked Monday.

While Tennessee’s special teams had arguably its worst showing in franchise history on Sunday, the issues were nothing new in the Aukerman era. In fact, firing him was something this team should’ve done years ago.

Nevertheless, the firing of Aukerman won’t save the Titans’ season, although it is a step in the right direction for the future.

Now, our power rankings round-up for Week 14.

NFL Power Rankings Week 14: Cowboys, not Eagles, are 49ers’ most intriguing playoff matchup

The 49ers should fear the Cowboys more than the Eagles. Plus more in our weekly power rankings.

The San Francisco 49ers are the NFL team to beat and the clear favorite for Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas this February.

There is no reasonable conclusion after watching Kyle Shanahan’s crew dismantle the defending NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles in their own building this weekend. San Francisco made dismantling a fellow powerhouse look frighteningly easy. After a slow start, it was almost as if the Eagles didn’t belong on the same field as San Francisco.

If you’ve followed the Eagles’ exploits all season, you know none of this new. A lot of their romp to a 10-2 record has occasionally felt like it was built on smoke and mirrors. The Eagles just haven’t really impressed as often as you’d expect a team rife with All-Pro talent on both sides of the ball. That’s why I’m quite confident in the assessment below.

The Dallas Cowboys are a bigger threat to the 49ers’ supremacy than the Eagles. Hear me out.

The Cowboys have been on a mission since getting blown out by the 49ers on national television in early October. They’ve won six of their last seven games (while scoring 40 points three times), and their raucous defense, led by Micah Parsons, is humbling quarterbacks around the league. Perhaps most importantly, Dak Prescott is playing the best football of his career as a genuine MVP favorite. Who are we to argue with a 21-2 touchdown to interception ratio since that fateful October game in San Francisco?

And on Sunday night in Dallas, the Eagles must defeat their division rivals to maintain control of the NFC East. Needless to say, I’m betting my money on these red-hot Cowboys.

You might recall a critical moment from the aftermath of the 49ers’ humiliation of the Cowboys. Parsons claimed that the 42-10 final score didn’t reflect the gap between the NFC powers. At the time, it seemed silly of Parsons, even a little delusional. Roughly two months later, I’m starting to see he had a point. The Cowboys are different. They are better. They’re finally playing like a team that belongs among the league’s elite and which can make real noise this January.

I know everyone wants a Round 3 between the 49ers and Eagles. We still might get it. But I have a feeling the Cowboys will push the Bay Area juggernaut more than anyone wants to believe if they have a postseason rematch this winter. These Cowboys have a weird competitive aura about them that I can’t ignore any longer.

Naturally, in For The Win‘s Week 14 NFL power rankings, the Cowboys are a heavy point of discussion. As are the 49ers and Eagles. The playoffs are around the corner. Let’s start setting the table for all the madness, folks.

NFL power rankings Week 14: Packers surge, Browns and Steelers tumble

With the Week 13 slate in the books, here’s our updated NFL power rankings going into Week 14 of the 2023 season.

With the “Monday Night Football” matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Cincinnati Bengals in the books, it’s time to take a look at our updated NFL power rankings going into Week 14.

The Green Bay Packers are one of the biggest movers in this week’s rankings after beating the Kansas City Chiefs, along with the Indianapolis Colts and Los Angeles Rams. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers are dropping the most.

In what was the most anticipated matchup, the San Francisco 49ers ended up winning a lopsided affair over the Philadelphia Eagles and emphatically staked their claim as the best team in the NFL right now.

On the total opposite side of things, the Carolina Panthers became the first team in the NFL to be eliminated from playoff contention after they fell to 1-11 in a 21-18 defeat at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The New England Patriots also sunk further into despair after posting a bagel at home in a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Find out how those games and the rest of Sunday’s action changed our NFL power rankings going into Week 14.

NFL Power Rankings Week 14: The Cowboys and Eagles are on a playoff collision course

The Cowboys and Eagles are the NFC’s two best teams and seem destined for a playoff battle.

The last time the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles played for the NFC title, was in 1980. Tom Landry still roamed the Dallas sideline, with Danny White as his signal-caller. Meanwhile, a young Dick Vermeil coached an upstart Philadelphia squad and Ron Jaworski to an upset of Dallas for a berth in Super Bowl 15.

Over four decades later, we might finally be setting up for another conference championship battle between two long-time, hated NFC East rivals.

With only a little over a month left in the 2022 NFL regular season, the modern iterations of the 11-1 Eagles and 9-3 Cowboys look like the clear two best teams in the NFC. Bar none. Case closed. There is no debate. There’s no other conclusion after watching Jalen Hurts and Philadelphia thoroughly embarrass the Titans, and Dak Prescott’s Cowboys put the Colts on a spit roast on national television.

Seeding and playoff matchups will have to break the right way for two divisional teams to meet up at the end of January. But even if the Cowboys and Eagles don’t battle in the actual NFC title game in the playoffs, it should be understood that any potential postseason duel between the two monsters of the NFC Beast will likely decide the conference winner anyway.

Dallas. Philadelphia. For all the marbles. Don’t you just love the prospect of that sheer chaos?

Here are For The Win’s power rankings for Week 14 of the 2022 NFL season — featuring the Cowboys and Eagles on a collision course.

Titans NFL power rankings round-up going into Week 14

Despite being on a bye in Week 13, the Titans actually moved up in the power rankings of some experts.

Despite being on a bye in Week 13, the Tennessee Titans actually moved up in the Week 14 NFL power rankings of some experts.

One of those experts is USA TODAY’s Nate Davis, who has the Titans moving up one spot from No. 8 to No. 7. Here’s his write-up:

7. Titans (8): OLB Harold Landry is the first Tennessee player to notch at least 10 sacks since 2016, when Brian Orakpo did it.

It’s good to see Landry getting some recognition. The former second-round pick is having a monster season with 10 sacks, a new career-high for him.

The outside linebacker’s career year comes at a perfect time, as Landry is set to be a free agent next offseason. He will get paid handsomely, whether it’s from the Titans or another team on the open market.

Now, we move on to the rest of our round-up for Week 14, which includes more experts moving Tennessee up in their respective rankings.

Week 14 NFL Power Rankings: Cold December

The Pittsburgh Steelers are falling, the Buffalo Bills are rising, and the Chicago Bears are one of a few teams clinging to life.

Noted NFL head coach Bill Belichick has often stated that you want a football team to be playing their best in December.

If that is indeed the case, then a few teams around the NFL might be worried right now.

Week 14 provided a few surprises, a notable debut from a rookie quarterback, another loss from the Pittsburgh Steelers, and yes, the game of the year on Monday Night Football that is almost indescribable.

We dive into that and a whole lot more in the Week 14 Power Rankings.
