The 2023 NFL draft is about a week and a half away and mock drafts and big boards are starting to finalize. While mock drafts are never a sure thing, when you get this late in the game, it becomes increasingly clearer who you can expect to be selected No. 1 overall.
It appears now that Alabama’s Bryce Young is considered the favorite. According to NFL Mock Draft Database, a website that collects various mock drafts and formulates draft probabilities, Young now has a 56% chance of being selected first overall by the Carolina Panthers.
Just last week, Young’s probability was at 46%, and a month ago Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud was the favorite to be the No. 1 pick.
Things could obviously change between now and April 28 when the NFL draft opens, but I believe it is safe to say that we could see Alabama’s first-ever No. 1 pick happen later this month!
