DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett ranked 1-2 in jersey sales in UK last month

We’re assuming these are sales for Seattle’s throwback jerseys, which are undeniably awesome no matter which team you root for.

Fans in the UK bought more jerseys of Seahawks wide receivers DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett than any other players in the NFL last month.

Here’s a look at the full top 10, per the NFL UK’s Instagram account.

We have three thoughts on this. First, we’re assuming that these are sales for Seattle’s throwback jerseys, which went on sale in July and are undeniably awesome no matter which team you root for.

However, this is also more evidence of the Seahawks’ popularity outside the United States. Last year’s trip to Munich proved they have the biggest fan base in Germany, and it would make sense for the UK as well.

Most of all it’s a reflection of the awesome work that Metcalf and Lockett have put on the field the last few years. They are easily the league’s most underrated receiver duo in this era.

Russell Wilson has been playing quarterback at a high level for the last 10 years. Even though he won a Super Bowl and has made the Pro Bowl nine times, he never really was considered a superstar during his time in Seattle.

It appears that’s changed now that Wilson is in Denver. According to the NFL, Wilson’s Broncos jersey is now the best-selller in the league.

Denver has a strong national following and their fans are understandably excited about getting their first quarterback upgrade since signing Peyton Manning 10 years ago.

We won’t have to wait long to see Wilson in action with his new team. The Broncos will visit the Seahawks Week 1 on Monday Night Football.

DaVante Adams leaps Tom Brady among NFL shop highest selling jerseys of 2022

Expect to see a lot of 17 Raiders jerseys this year. DaVante Adams is among highest selling jerseys of 2022

NFL shop has announced their top selling jerseys for the first half of 2022 and there has been a changing of the guard. Taking over as the highest selling jersey is Russell Wilson, who was traded to the Broncos this offseason. And he is not the only player to change teams to see their jersey sales go through the roof.

DaVante Adams was also traded this offseason and his Raiders jersey landed at fourth in the rankings behind Wilson, Josh Allen (2), and rookie Kenny Pickett (3).

What’s more interesting is who Adams leapfrogged to reach the fourth spot — one Tom Brady (5).

Rounding out the top ten are Mac Jones (6), Aidan Hutchinson (7), Tyrann Mathieu (8), Tyreek Hill (9), and Cooper Kupp (10).

Brady had a reservation for the top spot for…ever. You have to wonder if his flirtation with retirement halted his jersey sales enough for Adams and the others to pull ahead of him.

Anyway, expect to see a lot of Silver & Black number 17 jerseys this season as Raiders fans are clearly very excited to have arguably the league’s best receiver taking the field in Las Vegas.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts among top selling jerseys since the draft despite not having an official number

Jalen Hurts jersey in high demand since the 2020 NFL Draft

The Philadelphia Eagles are among the most popular brands in all of the professional sports and that popularity translates down to the players.

Despite not having an official uniform number, Hurts Eagles’ jersey is among the top sellers since the draft commenced according to NFLShop.com.

Jersey sales are tracked by Fanatics, which powers the league’s merchandising site. Jalen Reagor’s future Eagles jersey is also doing well on the site.

The Rams are currently the top-sellers after their new uniform release on Wednesday.

3 Jets among NFLPA’s Top 50 merchandise sellers

Sam Darnold, Jamal Adams and Le’Veon Bell were among the top 50 players in individual NFL merchandise sales.

The Jets have a few players on their roster who can move merchandise.

According to Variety, the Jets have three players on the top 50 list for NFLPA licensed player-identified merchandise sales. Sam Darnold is there at No. 25, while Le’Veon Bell and Jamal Adams 40th and 41st, respectively.

Patrick Mahomes was No. 1 on the list followed by Tom Brady at No. 2, Lamar Jackson at No. 3 and Ezekiel Elliot at No. 4. Baker Mayfield rounded out the top five.

The list includes merchandise ranging from jerseys, trading cards, wall decals, t-shirts and bobbleheads. It also includes merchandise sold from Nike and Fanatics. Overall, the NFLPA generated $1.9 billion in revenue sales from NFLPA merchandise.

Darnold, Bell and Adams are the three biggest names the Jets have on their roster, so it’s no surprise to see them on this list. Darnold has become quite popular as the presumed franchise quarterback, while Adams is the leader of the defense. Bell, meanwhile, came to the Jets as one of the league’s most recognizable rushers even though he didn’t provide much production in his first season with the team.

Darnold had his ups and his down last, throwing for 3,024 yards, 19 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 13 games. Adams put together another fantastic season, being named to his second consecutive Pro Bowl and making First-Team All-Pro. In 14 games, he recorded 61 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, seven pass breakups, one interception and two total touchdowns,

Bell’s season wasn’t up to his standards, as he struggled to show that same burst that he used to have with the Steelers. In 15 games, he rushed for 789 yards and three touchdowns. As a receiver, he had 461 yards and one touchdown.
