NFL Week 8 betting locks: Nick Foles can’t hang with Drew Brees and the Saints

Three locks of the week in the NFL.

It’s always a good time to make some money, and we’ve got three more betting locks for Week 8 in the NFL.

All betting lines via BetMGM.

Charles Curtis: Titans -6 vs. Bengals

The Bengals are fifth-worst against the run and ninth-worst in the league against the pass, so I expect Derrick Henry and Ryan Tannehill to have themselves a day.

Nick Schwartz: Rams -4 vs. Dolphins

I think Tua Tagovailoa is going to be a successful NFL quarterback, but he’s making his debut against one of the NFL’s best defenses, and the Rams are playing well on both sides of the ball. If Ryan Fitzpatrick was playing, I’d stay away from this game, but I like the Rams to take care of the Tua-led Dolphins (and the line just dropped to Rams -3.5 for some extra value).

Steven Ruiz: Saints -4 vs. Bears

The Bears’ strength is obviously their defense, and more specifically, their pass rush. But going up against a smart quarterback like Drew Brees, I think that’s going to be mitigated. Brees is going to get the ball out quickly, get it to his playmakers, and I think they’re going to expose the weakness of that Bears defense, which is the linebackers. The Saints defense shuts down Nick Foles to the point where the Bears can’t cover.
