Getting the honor was one of Winfield Jr.’s goals for the 2023 season, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers posted a video of Winfield Jr. learning he’d achieved it in live time.

Winfield Jr. was conducting an interview when he was told he would win the award. He was ecstatic and reiterated that it was one of his goals to start the year. Check out Winfield Jr. being all smiles the moment the news is broken to him:

WR Mike Evans named AP Second Team All-Pro

The award is Evans’ second of his career and comes as he co-led the NFL in receiving touchdowns.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout [autotag]Mike Evans[/autotag] got in on the All-Pro fun too on Friday.

Evans was selected as a Second Team All-Pro by the Associated Press on Friday. The accolade is the second of his career, earning a Second Team nod in 2016 β€” at that time, Second Team wasn’t technically a real award, but it has since become one. Evans shared his nod with WR Brandon Aiyuk of the San Francisco 49ers.

Evans had one of his best seasons in 2023, serving as the NFL’s co-leader in touchdowns with 13 and extending a 1000-yard receiving streak for a 10th-straight year. He finished the year with 13 touchdowns on 79 receptions with 1,255 yards. Unlike his fellow teammate in Antoine Winfield Jr., who was a First Team selection, Evans was voted as a starter for the 2023 Pro Bowl Games.

Evans was superseded by quite a few receivers. Miami’s Tyreek Hill, Dallas’ Ceedee Lamb and Detroit’s Amon-Ra St.Brown were First Team selections β€” Philadelphia’s A.J. Brown and the Los Angeles Rams’ Puka Nacua were selected above Evans and Aiyuk.

2023 All-Pro Teams announced: 4 Eagles honored

The Philadelphia Eagles had four players named to the Associated Press All-Pro team for the 2023 NFL season

The Eagles regressed in the standings after going 14-3 last season but were still well-represented on the Associated Press’s 2023 NFL All-Pro team.

The results were compiled by a national panel of 50 media members.

Star center Jason Kelce was named first-team All-Pro for the sixth time in his 13-year career. Kelce tied Chuck Bednarik and Reggie White for most first-team All-Pro selections in the Eagles’ franchise history.

Wide receiver A.J. Brown, kicker Jake Elliott, and tackle Lane Johnson were named second-team All-Pros.

Johnson was named to an All-Pro team for the fourth time; this is his second selection to the second team. Brown was named to his second All-Pro team, having also been selected to the second team last season.

Elliott was named an All-Pro for the first time in his career.

Antoine Winfield Jr. named AP First Team All-Pro

Winfield Jr. may have been snubbed for the Pro Bowl, but he got the one that matters β€” he’s a First Team All-Pro!

Bucs safety Antoine Winfield Jr. was one of the best safeties in the league, and now, he’s been officially recognized.

The Associated Press released their list of All-Pros on Friday, and the award is generally considered the most prestigious one can earn outside of individual awards such as MVP and the Player of the Year awards. Winfield Jr. was named as one of the two best safeties in the NFL with a First Team nod, next to the Baltimore Ravens’ Kyle Hamilton.

Winfield Jr. was not only one of the best safeties in the league, but one of the best defensive players in the league period. He finished his year with 76 solo tackles, six forced fumbles, three interceptions and six sacks. Winfield Jr. has been a chess piece on defense all year, and he has quite literally saved numerous games perhaps on his own β€” two of those forced fumbles were punched out of the end zone for touchbacks from players that would have netted six points.

Winfield Jr. is the ninth defensive player and second safety to be named First Team All-Pro in franchise history, the first being Bucs safety and current 49ers general manager John Lynch (who won it twice). The accolade comes during a contract year, so it stands to reason that he should get a pretty big payday this offseason in free agency.

He’ll have ample opportunity to continue a stellar campaign on Monday when the Bucs play the Eagles in the Wild Card Round at 8 p.m.

Two Bucs players make PFF’s 2023 All-Pro team

The Bucs had two first-team representatives for Pro Football Focus’ final All-Pro team.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are playoff-bound, and while it was a team effort, a certain few were huge contributors in the 2023 season.

Pro Football Focus released their All-Pro list for the 2023 season, and it included two Bucs players β€” both as First-Team All-Pros. PFF’s list included safety Antoine Winfield Jr. and kicker Chase McLaughlin for the first team. Both McLaughlin and Winfield Jr. were both on PFF’s midseason All-Pro team, though Winfield Jr. made the second team at that point of the year.

The season Winfield Jr. has had needs no explanation. He’s netted six sacks, six forced fumbles and three interceptions this year, making him an absolutely dominant player on all sides of the football. He was notably snubbed from the Pro Bowl, but he’d surely rather have an AP All-Pro nod β€” this is perhaps good fortune for things to come in that regard. Winfield Jr. was one of two PFF first-team All-Pros, sharing the honor with Falcons safety Jessie Bates.

McLaughlin, meanwhile, just had the best kicking season in franchise history. He went 29-for-31 on the year, with his only two misses coming as blocks. His season-long distance was 57 yards, and he hit that distance three times over the course of the year.

Former Spartan, Cleveland Browns OT Jack Conklin named to AP NFL All-Pro First Team

Former Michigan State walk-on and current Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Jack Conklin has been named First Team All-Pro.

[jwplayer mKgJ519R-PROpJzTY]

The Cleveland Browns are finally back in the playoffs, and a big part of that has been the stellar play of former Spartan offensive tackle Jack Conklin. The Browns have emerged as a stellar running team and a solid passing offense, and a lot of that credit has been heaped onto Conklin, who was named to the 2020 AP NFL All-Pro First Team on Friday.

[vertical-gallery id=33659]

This is Conklin’s second time being named First-team All-Pro, with the first time coming in 2016 with the Tennessee Titans, who drafted him with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. This was his first season with the Browns, and by their sudden success, it’s clear that the former Michigan State walk-on had a huge impact.
