The Chiefs got back into the win column on Sunday with a big win over the Dolphins on Sunday. K.C.’s offense found the endzone twice in the first half and the defense added a touchdown to create a 21-0 halftime lead. The second half was a bit of a different story as the Chiefs’ offense went ice-cold and didn’t score another point.

The defense began to tire out as the Dolphins found some momentum, but it buckled down on the final drive and secured the victory. K.C.’s defense held Miami’s explosive offense to 14 points and Tua Tagovailoa to under 200 passing yards. Former Chief Tyreek Hill was held in check with under eight yards per catch and no touchdowns.

Between coming off an ugly loss to the Broncos and standing pat at the trade deadline, it’s been a bit of a dramatic week for Kansas City. However, a big bounce-back win over a good Dolphins team will cure a lot of emotions. The Chiefs have to find a way to get into the endzone on a more consistent basis, and the wide receiving corps has to tighten up the mistakes.

It’s time for the Kansas City Chiefs to put their loss to the Denver Broncos behind them and focus on their huge matchup with the Miami Dolphins in Germany this Sunday. A win over the Dolphins would put Kansas City a game ahead of them and give it the all-important tiebreaker for playoff seeding. Happy Halloween Chiefs Kingdom! The Chiefs are licking their wounds after getting upset by Denver, but they are a championship team that knows how to bounce back.

A silver lining to take away from the loss is the Chiefs’ defense, which continues to play at a very high level. Defensive end George Karlaftis has made huge strides in his second year, giving K.C. a dangerous trio of him, Chris Jones, and Charles Omenihu.

The Kansas City Chiefs kept on rolling as they moved to 6-1 with a victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Kansas City started fast on offense, scoring on four of its first five possessions. The Chargers hung tough, though, managing to put up 17 points in the first half.

The second half was a different story, however, as the Chiefs’ defense got back to the dominant form that it had played at for most of the season. Los Angeles was shutout in the second half, and although the K.C. offense committed a few self-inflicted wounds, it put the game away late in the fourth quarter with one last touchdown.

The Chargers are coming to Kansas City in desperate need of a win. Falling to 2-4 and 3.5 games behind the Chiefs in the standings would be devastating to Los Angeles’ chances of winning the AFC West. The Chiefs, however, would create some serious comfort space between them and both the Chargers and Broncos with a win.
