TORONTO FC (+125) went unbeaten in Group C play, winning a match and picking up two draws. They managed to net six goals with a plus-1 goal differential, just edging out New England for the top spot in the group.

Toronto’s firepower on offense will get them past NYCFC (+195).  They ended up third in Group A, scoring just two goals with a minus-2 goal differential.

A winning $10 wager on Toronto FC (+125) to win outright nets a profit of $12.50. A $10 wager on New York City FC (+195) to win would net $19.50, while a Draw or Tie (+275) would fetch a $27.50 profit.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 2.5 (-167) looks pretty tasty here, mainly based upon Toronto’s wide-open style of play. TFC averaged two goals per game in the group stage while yielding 1.67. If those trends continue, we’ll see at least three total goals. NYCFC’s struggling offense is the biggest concern here, but they should find a little more success against Toronto.

ORLANDO CITY SC (+310) is the play here. While there are no fans in the stands, Orlando City is the “home” team in the Central Florida bubble. OCSC scratched out a 2-1 win against Inter Miami in the first game of the tournament last Wednesday, notching a goal at 90’+7 to stun its Sunshine State rivals and anger anyone who had an “Under” ticket. New York City FC (-118) is favored in this one, but it’s a curious line considering it has been blanked 1-0 in each of its first three matches this season. To make matters worse, Moralez went out in the opening match of the tourney with a quad injury and is out indefinitely.

A winning $10 wager on Orlando City SC (+310) to win outright nets a return profit of $31. A $10 wager on New York City FC (-118) to win would net a profit of just $8.47, while a Draw or Tie (+280) would fetch a $28 profit.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 2.5 (-154) has not been a frequent play in this tournament so far, and the only reason Orlando’s first match went over was the late-game heroics to sink Miami. Playing the Over in a match featuring a team with a goose egg in the “goals for” column is risky, but New York should finally find the back of the net against Orlando. Plus, OCSC showed it has a little bit of offensive punch against Miami in last week’s opener.

New York City FC (+135) was dropped 1-0 in each of its first two matches, showing off a lack of offense but tremendous defense and goalkeeping. PHILADELPHIA UNION (+180) is the better value here, as it found the back of the net three times in the first two games of the regular season while allowing five goals. Union’s lack of defense shouldn’t be an issue here against a New York side which is still looking for its first goal of 2020. A “Double Chance” bet taking Philadelphia or Tie (-176) might also be worth a small-unit wager if you’re just looking to dip your toe into the MLS betting pool and not get crazy until you get a bit of a preview.

A winning $10 wager on Philadelphia (+180) fetches a profit of $18.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 3.5 (-167) will cost you a bit of a pretty penny, and in normal times it might be a bit worrisome considering Philly’s lack of defense in the first two matches. However, we have a 9 a.m. ET start, as MLS scheduled games in the early morning or evening in Orlando to limit the exposure to the scorching hot Central Florida sun and weather issues. But teams might be a bit sluggish offensively, rolling out of bed and playing meaningful games. Look for a slow offensive start for both ends.
