One of the top quarterbacks in the transfer portal will be moving on from the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Reports have stated that former Ohio State Buckeye Kyle McCord will no longer be considering the Huskers in his future and will keep his portal recruitment open.
McCord had recently visited Lincoln, and the early word was that the visit went well. It’s unknown why McCord moved on, but one has to wonder if the recent news surrounding Dylan Raiola played a factor in the decision.
The five-star recruit started all 12 games in 2023, leading Ohio State to an 11-1 record. He threw for 3,170 yards with 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
McCord officially entered the transferred portal on December 4 after Buckeye’s head coach Ryan Day would not commit to his quarterback as the starter in the Cotton Bowl.
