REPORT: Huskers visit transfer portal quarterback

A new report has stated that the Nebraska Cornhuskers have made contact with a transfer portal quarterback.

A new report has stated that the Nebraska Cornhuskers have made contact with a transfer portal quarterback. On3 has reported that the Husker coaching staff recently met with Kansas State Wildcat quarterback Will Howard.

Howard entered the transfer portal on November 27. This year, he played in all 12 regular season games, throwing for 2,643 yards with 24 touchdowns and ten interceptions. He also ran for 351 yards and nine touchdowns.

He has thrown for 5,786 yards in his career with 48 touchdowns and 25 interceptions. Howard has also added 921 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns.

The report has also stated that Nebraska isn’t the only team to make contact with the quarterback. Howard has had visits with Miami, Wisconsin, and even USC.

After Nebraska’s inconsistent quarterback play in 2023, it’s clear Matt Rhule and company are looking for an instant upgrade at the position. You have to believe that Howard won’t be the only quarterback the Husker staff visits with this offseason.
