They hold an overall record of 26-27 in those 53 postseason games. Since 2000, the Cornhuskers have played in 16 bowl games with a record of 8-8.

In the program’s entire postseason history, they appeared in the Orange Bowl more than any other game and by a wide margin with 17 appearances and an 8-9 record. Their most frequent opponent has been the Miami Hurricanes, with six meetings with a 2-4 record.

Nebraska’s most recent appearance occurred in December of 2016 when Nebraska faced Tennessee in the Music City Bowl. They would lose that game by a score of 38-24.

Nebraska’s Week 12 matchup against Wisconsin slated for primetime

The Nebraska Cornhuskers and Wisconsin Badgers Week 12 matchup will be a primetime showdown in Madison.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers’s Week 12 matchup against the Wisconsin Badgers will be a primetime matchup, the Big Ten announced on Monday.

The Huskers and Badgers will kick off on November 18 at 6:30 p.m. CT in Madison. The game will be televised nationally on NBC as part of the network’s weekly Big Ten Saturday Night programming.

The Cornhuskers are coming off a close 20-17 loss to the Michigan State Spartans this past weekend in East Lansing. They’ll enter Week 11 with a 5-4 record, looking to bowl eligibility with a win over the Maryland Terrapins, who have lost four straight games after starting 5-0.

For Wisconsin, the Badgers are 5-4 on the season and are losers of three of their last four matchups. This past weekend, the Badgers fell to the Hoosiers 20-14. They’ll look to notch their sixth win this weekend against the Northwestern Wildcats.

The matchup on November 18 in Madison will be the 17th all-time between the two programs. Wisconsin holds a demanding 12-4 series edge through the first 16 games, including winning nine straight since 2012.
