Michigan State basketball senior Malik Hall is getting ready to say goodbye to MSU, and the Big Ten Network just put out an incredibly touching video about him and his family.

Malik Hall’s father Lorenzo was diagnosed with early-onset dementia, and it has brought new meaning to this season for Malik.

Joan Secchia donates $10 million to Michigan State men’s and women’s tennis programs

Michigan State tennis is in the midst of an unbelievable tennis season, where they are currently 14-2. On Tuesday, the men’s and women’s tennis programs got a huge boost, as long-time MSU donor Joan Secchia pledged $10 million to the tennis programs.

“Today is a momentous occasion for the Spartan tennis programs,” men’s tennis coach Harry Jadun said. “She has been a leader for our program and the impact she has had on our student-athletes extends far beyond the tennis court. Joan’s gift reflects a strong belief in Michigan State University and our tennis program. We are so thankful for her support. Our goal is to compete for championships, and Joan’s gift will allow us to do just that.”

Michigan State women’s basketball has three players named to All-Big Ten team

Michigan State women’s basketball has had a bit of a coming out party this year under first year Spartan head coach Robyn Fralick, going 22-7 on the season and coming in fourth place in a very competitive Big Ten Conference.

The Spartans were led by their three stars on the team, Julia Ayrault, DeeDee Hagemann, and Moira Joiner, and all three were named to All-Big Ten teams.

Julia Ayrault was the lone Spartan on the First Team, while Hagemann and Joiner were named to the Second Team. We’ve also covered that Theryn Hallock was named the Big Ten Sixth Player of the Year.

Michigan State women’s basketball sophomore Theryn Hallock named Big Ten Sixth Player of the Year

If you’ve been following Michigan State women’s basketball this year, which you should because they’ve been great, you probably know that one of the biggest strengths of this team is their bench. Often times, it feels like MSU has seven or eight starting caliber players.

One of the biggest parts of that has been the play of sophomore guard Theryn Hallock, how is fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 11.2 points per game.

In honor of her great season, Hallock has been named the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Sixth Player of the Year.

New Michigan State football head coach brought in an almost entirely new coaching staff this year, with the exception of Courtney Hawkins.

The top hires, of course, are the two top coordinators for the offense and defense. For one of those, Brian Lindgren, Jonathan Smith opted to bring a familiar face with him from Oregon State. For the other, Joe Rossi, Smith opted to steal  a Big Ten veteran away from a rival program at Minnesota.

Michigan State football’s media day slot at the 2024 Big Ten Football Media Day revealed

Michigan State football’s time slot for media availability at the 2024 Big Ten Football Media Day has been revealed. The Big Ten Conference will hold their annual media days from July 23 to July 25 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The annual event will be expanded from two to three days to accommodate the addition of USC, UCLA, Oregon and Washington.

Michigan State’s media day session will be on Wednesday, July 24.
