Michigan State football has extended a scholarship offer to a big-time linebacker from Conference USA.

Jax State transfer linebacker Reginald Hughes announced on Monday that he’s received an offer from the Spartans. Hughes made the offer from Michigan State known via social media platform X.

Hughes was a key defender for the Gamecocks that just won the Conference USA last weekend. He recorded 83 tackles and 4.5 sacks for Jax State this past season.

Prior to the 2024 season, Hughes played two seasons for Ole Miss. He was the No. 1 junior college linebacker in the 2022 class.

Michigan State football has extended an offer to a nearly 1,000-yard wide receiver from the Mid-American Conference

Michigan State football has extended an offer to a nearly 1,000-yard wide receiver from the Mid-American Conference.

Miami (OH) transfer wide receiver Javon Tracy announced on Monday that he’s received an offer from the Spartans. He made the transfer portal news known via social media platform X.

Tracy just finished up his sophomore season with Miami (OH) where he nearly recorded 1,000 yards receiving. He had 57 receptions for 818 yards and seven touchdowns this past season for the Red Hawks.

He is originally from Indianapolis and will have two years of eligibility remaining. He has picked up a lot of interest since entering the transfer portal, with Wisconsin, Georgia Tech, Indiana and Minnesota all offering on Monday. He reportedly will visit Indiana and Minnesota later this week, according to On3 college football insider Steve Wiltfong.

One Michigan State tight end announced on Monday that he’ll be hitting the transfer portal.

Michigan State reserve tight end Ademola Faleye announced on Monday that he will be finishing his career elsewhere and enter the transfer portal. Faleye played two years for the Spartans after transferring to Michigan State from Norfolk State in 2022.

Faleye didn’t see any game action in 2023, but this year did crack the Spartans’ lineup where he record two receptions for 18 yards.

The transfer portal officially opened on Monday, with numerous Spartans announcing they’ll be leaving the program via the portal.

Former Michigan State tight end Jack Nickel is heading back into the transfer portal just one year after leaving the Spartans

Former Michigan State tight end Jack Nickel is heading back into the transfer portal just one year after leaving the Spartans.

Nickel started his career at Michigan State, and appeared in 10 games during the 2023 season. However, after one year with the Spartans, he hit the transfer portal where he landed at UAB. Now he’s announced he’ll leave the Blazers’ program and hit the transfer portal again.

Nickel appeared in 12 games this past year for the Blazers. He recorded only one catch for six yards in his lone season with UAB.

Nickel was a three-star prospect in the 2022 class. He is originally from Alpharetta, Ga.

The transfer portal is officially open and numerous Spartans are heading into it.

Michigan State defensive back Philipp Davis is one of the latest Spartans to enter the transfer portal. Spartans Illustrated reported the portal entry for Davis on Monday.

The transfer portal officially opened on Monday, which has resulted in players across the country seeking new opportunities via the portal.

Davis was a three-star prospect in the 2023 class. He redshirted last season and this year he didn’t appear to play in any games for Michigan State.

A former Spartans is heading back to the transfer portal just one year after leaving Michigan State

A former Spartans is heading back to the transfer portal just one year after leaving Michigan State.

Ilinois offensive lineman Kevin Wigenton announced on Saturday that he will be entering the transfer portal. Wigenton played for Michigan State for two seasons before transferring to Illinois last offseason.

Wigenton appeared in 12 games this year for Illinois. He started six games at guard for Michigan State in 2023. It’s unclear at this time if Michigan State would pursue bringing back Wigenton, but the offensive line is certainly a position of need for the Spartans in the transfer portal. So don’t be surprised if there’s some chatter connecting Michigan State and Wigenton again.

Michigan State DL Khris Bogle declares for NFL Draft

Michigan State defensive lineman Khris Bogle made it official on Sunday that he is moving on to the NFL.

Bogle released a statement via social media platform X on Sunday afternoon where he officially declared for the NFL Draft. Bogle was a sixth year senior and didn’t appear to have any more years of eligibility remaining to return to Michigan State next year.

Bogle transferred to Michigan State from Florida ahead of the 2022 season. In his three years at Michigan State, Bogle appeared in 26 games where he recorded 62 total tackles with 13 for a loss and 6.5 sacks.

A former Michigan State starting quarterback is heading to the College Football Playoff.

Sam Leavitt led Arizona State to the Big 12 championship on Saturday afternoon, and clinched a spot in the College Football Playoff. Leavitt threw for 219 yards and three touchdowns, and ran for 33 yards and another touchdown to lead the Sun Devils to the 45-19 victory over Iowa State in the Big 12 Championship Game.

With the win, Arizona State secured an automatic bid in the College Football Playoff. The Sun Devils are the No. 4 seed and will play the winner of No. 5 seed Texas-No. 12 seed Clemson in the quarterfinals.

Leavitt played for one year at Michigan State before transferring to Arizona State in the last offseason. He was a former four-star recruit in the 2023 class.

Another Michigan State wide receiver will enter the transfer portal.

Redshirt freshman wide receiver Jaelen Smith announced on Friday night that he plans to enter the transfer portal when it opens next week. He posted his announcement on entering the transfer portal via the social media platform X.

Smith is a former three-star prospect in the 2023 class. He redshirted during the 2023 season and didn’t play much of a role on the Spartans this past season as well.

Smith is the third Michigan State wide receiver to enter the transfer portal in the last few days. He joins Jaron Glover and Aziah Johnson as Michigan State wide receivers intending to hit the portal.

Michigan State football has extended a scholarship offer to an FCS offensive line transfer

Michigan State football has extended a scholarship offer to an FCS offensive line transfer.

Caleb Carter announced on Thursday that he’s received a scholarship offer from the Spartans. Carter played at Western Carolina and is a graduate transfer.

Carter entered the transfer portal last week. He is listed at 6-foot-3 and 310 pounds.

Since entering the portal, Carter has received scholarships from USF, Troy, Georgia State, Bowling Green, ECU, Buffalo, Old Dominion, San Diego State, Florida International, Kent State, Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan.
