Super Bowl 2024 movie trailers: A running list of the films that dropped on Super Bowl Sunday

Here’s a running list of all the movie trailers premiering during this year’s Super Bowl.

This year’s Super Bowl will hopefully feature plenty of great football, but it’ll definitely feature some fresh look at some of the year’s biggest movies.

Super Bowl movie trailers are an annual tradition that preview some of the biggest spectacles of the year, and 2024’s big game is no different.

Some movies, like Kung Fu Panda 4, Despicable Me 4 and A Quiet Place: Day One, have already premiered new trailers, while others, like Deadpool 3, Wicked and Twisters, have been speculated as debuting footage of those films.

Check out our running list of all the big game ads, which could also include some big television shows.

Thor: Love and Thunder trailer features Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher

Gorr the God Butcher is here!

The hype continues to build for Thor: Love and Thunder as the latest trailer revealed yet another reason to be excited about the next Marvel Cinematic Universe film, headed to theaters in July.

After the first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder revealed Natalie Portman’s new look as Jane Foster in her full God of Thunder regalia, the latest trailer, which debuted during Monday night’s NBA Eastern Conference Finals game, gives us our first glimpse at the film’s villain, the terrifying Gorr the God Butcher played by Oscar-winner Christian Bale. Director Taika Waititi has called the character “the best villain that Marvel’s ever had” and from what we can see in the latest trailer, it looks like Bale may just deliver on that promise.

Marvel released a new Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer and it is wild

If you need me, I’ll be watching this repeatedly frame-by-frame.

All the attention is on Sunday’s Super Bowl between the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals, but Marvel took over the internet for a minute before the game with a well-timed trailer release.

The second trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness dropped on Twitter Sunday evening, leaving everyone to pour over every detail of the two-minute and 17-second offering.

Sam Raimi — who is known (among other things) for his work on the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man trilogy — is at the helm for Doctor Strange’s second entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it looks like he’s bringing his signature horror vibes to the movie.

Check out the trailer:

HOLD ON, WAS THAT PROFESSOR X? The movie is set to release May 6 and is the first MCU movie to hit theaters since Spider-Man: No Way Home in December.
