Falcons vs. Packers game moved to 9 p.m. ET

It appears the kickoff time for tonight’s prime-time matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers has changed again.

It appears the kickoff time for tonight’s prime-time matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers has changed again. As reported by ESPN’s Field Yates, the game has been moved from a 8:50 p.m. start, to 9 p.m. ET.

Prior to this, the NFL had already moved the game from its original 8:15 p.m. kickoff time. This change reportedly has something to do with the NFL rescheduling the Chiefs-Patriots matchup, which was postponed due to QB Cam Newton testing positive for COVID-19.

Make sure to check back for the Falcons’ inactives list prior to tonight’s kickoff.

In a move that was expected all week due to an injury to Younghoe Koo, the Atlanta Falcons promoted kicker Elliott Fry from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of their Monday night matchup with the Green Bay Packers.

The team also promoted cornerback Delrick Abrams and safety Jamal Carter to the 53-man roster this afternoon.

Without A.J. Terrell, Darqueze Dennard, Keanu Neal and Ricardo Allen, the Falcons’ secondary needs all the help it can get. We will see how these young players hold up in prime time tonight on ESPN’s Monday Night Football.

Both the Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers will be shorthanded when they face off tonight on ESPN’s Monday Night Football.

Both the Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers will be shorthanded when they face off tonight on ESPN’s Monday Night Football.

The Falcons’ secondary has been decimated by injuries but both receivers Calvin Ridley and Julio Jones will play, according to an NFL Network report on Monday morning.

As for the Packers, they will be without one of their biggest weapons. Wide receiver Davante Adams, who was listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury, has tweeted that he won’t be playing tonight.

It’s a big loss for Green Bay, but this is not the one-dimensional Packers team fans are used to. Running back Aaron Jones is having a breakout year, while quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been nearly perfect through three games.

Adams is the team’s receptions leader, but No. 2 WR Allen Lazard currently leads the team with 254 receiving yards. Check back for tonight’s inactives list prior to kickoff.

Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley will play vs. Packers in Week 4

The odds are stacked against the Atlanta Falcons (0-3) in their Week 4 matchup against the Green Bay Packers (3-0) on Monday night.

The odds are stacked against the Atlanta Falcons (0-3) in their Week 4 matchup against the Green Bay Packers (3-0) on Monday night.

Both starting safeties Ricardo Allen and Keanu Neal are out. Falcons first-round pick A.J. Terrell is on the COVID-19 list. Nickel CB Darqueze Dennard is on the injured reserve for three weeks and defensive end Takk McKinley will miss his second game in a row.

There was finally some good news Monday morning, though. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, both wide receivers Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley will play after being listed as questionable on the injury report.

Ridley leads the league in receiving yards per game (116.3), and has the second-most touchdown receptions (4) after three weeks. As for Jones, who missed last week’s game, he has 11 catches for 181 yards.

Against Green Bay’s high-powered offense led by QB Aaron Rodgers and RB Aaron Jones, Atlanta will need to put up points. Check back before tonight’s kickoff for the official inactives list.

Falcons to debut all-white uniforms vs. Packers on Monday night

The Falcons will debut the all-white version of their new uniforms during Monday’s Week 4 matchup in Green Bay.

Nothing quite spoils the return of football like three quick losses to open the season. That’a the reality the Atlanta Falcons have found themselves in after blowing back-to-back double-digit deficits.

There’s still 13 games to be played, though, starting on Monday night against the Green Bay Packers. Whether or not the Falcons can get their season on track remains to be seen, but at least they will look good in prime time.

The team will debut the all-white version of its new uniforms during Monday’s Week 4 matchup in Green Bay. Check them out below, as shared by Atlanta’s Twitter account.

Chiefs don’t elevate any players from practice squad for Week 3

The Chiefs made no transactions, but the Ravens added three players to their lineup.

The Kansas City Chiefs have opted to not elevate any practice squad players to their active roster ahead of their “Monday Night Football” matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. While the Chiefs did protect RB DeAndre Washington and DB Chris Lammons earlier in the week, neither player has been called up to the active roster for Kansas City.

One of the new features of NFL practice squads during the 2020 season is the “Standard Elevation Addendum.” This gives teams the ability to elevate two players from the practice squad to the active roster on game day. The Chiefs haven’t really used this much so far. Last week they elevated Braxton Hoyett to provide some defensive tackle depth with Khalen Saunders being placed on injured reserve and Mike Pennel still on suspension.

This bodes well for WR Sammy Watkins, LB Dorian O’Daniel and CB Charvarius Ward who were each listed as questionable heading into the game. The Chiefs have shown us that they really only intend to elevate players in case of an injury. I’d expect each of Watkins, O’Daniel and Ward to be available to play in Week 3.

The Ravens, on the other hand, have added some three players to their roster for tonight’s game. According to the NFL’s transaction report, Baltimore signed DB Jordan Richards and elevated both DB Terrell Bonds and DB Khalil Dorsey. This will provide some depth in the secondary after losing CB Tavon Young for the season with a knee injury.
