WATCH: Dom DiSandro gifts Jason Kelce a South Philly Tuxedo ahead of Eagles-Falcons

Jason Kelce has a new job after retiring from the NFL, and it involves a much more business-casual style of dress, a distinct change from the guy who wore sweatpants and flip-flops on most game days.

During his first night on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown in Week 1, Kelce made national news after forgetting his suit and tie in his truck. With Philadelphia and Atlanta on the docket for Week 2, Eagles security Chief Dom DiSandro ensured Kelce was adequately outfitted, gifting Kelce with a South Philly Tuxedo.

Kelce will appear on Monday Night Countdown weekly alongside anchor Scott Van Pelt and fellow analysts Marcus Spears and Ryan Clark. Week 2 shows that Kelce doesn’t necessarily have to buy into the idea of a suit and tie.

WATCH: Jason Kelce had to purchase a shirt from the mall prior to MNF debut

Jason Kelce had a slight suit and tie setback prior to his Monday Night Countdown debut and had to hit the mall for another dress shirt after leaving his in the truck

Jason Kelce has a new job after retiring from the NFL, and it involves a much more business-casual style of dress, a distinct change from the guy who wore sweatpants and flip-flops on most game days.

Kelce makes his debut appearance on the “Monday Night Football” pregame show every week alongside anchor Scott Van Pelt and fellow analysts Marcus Spears and Ryan Clark. ESPN wants Kelce to be Kelce, and he started things off in true offensive lineman fashion, forgetting his dress shirt and ensemble in the truck.

The future Hall of Fame center admitted on Monday night that he had to visit a local shopping mall to purchase a shirt from Lulumon, Ryan Clark joked.

Kelce will appear on Monday Night Countdown every week alongside anchor Scott Van Pelt and fellow analysts Marcus Spears and Ryan Clark, and it’ll be interesting to see if Kelce buys into the idea of a suit and tie.

Jason Kelce had to buy new clothes for his ESPN debut after forgetting his travel bag

Jason did not bring a shirt for Jason.

Longtime Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce is done playing football, but he’s certainly not done being around football. And while Kelce is just beginning his new career with ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown crew, his forgetful nature remains very much the same.

Ahead of Monday’s game between the Jets and 49ers, Countdown host Scott Van Pelt introduced Kelce by listing the center’s Hall of Fame accolades and then, of course, mentioning that Kelce had to buy himself a new shirt at the mall. It turned out that Kelce had left his travel bag in his truck, so he had to do some last-minute shopping in the Bay Area ahead of that ESPN debut.

Van Pelt said:

“And all that said, Jason Kelce is wearing a shirt he got at the mall because he left his travel bag in the truck.”

Jason Kelce heading to ESPN’s ‘Monday Night Countdown’

Jason Kelce is taking his talents to ESPN’s ‘Monday Night Countdown’

The battle for Jason Kelce’s services after the great Philadelphia Eagles center retired is over.

Andrew Marchand of The Athletic reported Monday that Kelce is heading to ESPN for a role on “Monday Night Countdown.”

Kelce’s services were coveted and the charismatic center is a big win for ESPN. Amazon and FOX were also interested in landing Kelce.

The news comes on the same day his brother, Travis, the Chiefs’ tight end, signed a two-year contract extension that will take him through 2028.

ESPN’s Ryan Clark praises Kirk Cousins after Achilles injury

Ryan Clark sings the praises of Kirk Cousins’ response after he tore his Achilles tendon

After Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins tore his Achilles Sunday against the Packers, he stayed on the sidelines to cheer on his team. A feat that did not go unnoticed, particularly by ESPN’s Ryan Clark. Appearing on Monday Night Countdown, Clark drew comparisons to former Los Angeles Lakers Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant, after his own Achilles tear.

Clark mentions that Cousins finished out the play on which he tore his Achilles, hopped to the sidelines and then cheered on the team, comparing it to Bryant stepping up to the free throw line to sink two free throws after his own injury back in 2013.

Clark goes on to heap praise on Cousins for bringing the Vikings back from an 0-3 start, stating “you don’t replace that”. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what the Vikings are going to have to do, as Jaren Hall now steps up to fill those shoes and the Vikings potentially to a trade or free agency for a more permanent solution.

ESPN lands another big name, Larry Fitzgerald

ESPN is busy adding former NFL players to its talent roster.

The WorldWide Leader will have Pat McAfee on “College Gameday” and now the New York Post reports Larry Fitzgerald will join “Monday Night Countdown.”

Per the report, Fitzgerald will do 5-7 shows in the 2022 season, similar to what Alex Smith did last year.

Fitzgerald played his entire NFL career with the Arizona Cardinals. He made 1,432 receptions for 17,492 yards. Of those catches, 121 went for touchdowns.

The slot on the panel opened when Randy Moss opted to only be on ESPN’s Sunday NFL programming.

Fitzgerald will make his debut Monday when the Denver Broncos face the Seattle Seahawks.
