The Galaxy were involved in a shootout in South Florida against Inter Miami CF. Galaxy F Chicharito struck for two goals, and MF Sacha Kljestan bagged the game-winning goal at 81′ for the strong start.

The GALAXY (+120) are a good play on their home pitch against the visiting Red Bulls.

L.A. showed the veteran Chicharito can still be a force in this league even though the star is getting a little long in the tooth. The Red Bulls won the two most recent meetings, but these sides haven’t met since May 4, 2019, so that two-game win streak by NYRB is rather irrelevant since the retooled Galaxy look like they might be ready for a nice season.

Over/Under (O/U)

The Galaxy showed last week they can pile up the goals, especially on the road. They rolled up 3 strikes in Fort Lauderdale against Inter Miami CF.

Meanwhile, the Red Bulls gave up 2 goals in two minutes last week, and hit the Over 2.5 in their match. We should see at least 4 goals here.

Neither of these teams showed much in the way of offense last weekend. Austin FC failed to find the back of the net, but they’re built as a defense-first club and aren’t expected to be explosive up front. The Rapids had a scoreless draw in their opener.

The best play here is a DRAW (+270), and play YES (-200) ON BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE for an added bonus.

Over/Under (O/U)

The UNDER 3.5 (-175) is the best play on the board, albeit a little on the expensive side. Both of these sides were blanked last week, so don’t expect a ton of offense.

New England (-190) is a little too expensive for my liking, even though they’re at home. We just haven’t seen enough of the teams to risk nearly two times your potential return.

The Revs posted a draw last week, falling behind quickly. DC United (+500) picked up a win last week at home, so this is anything but a slam-dunk play.

PASS, and look to the spread instead, playing NEW ENGLAND -1 (+135) very lightly. New England is unbeaten across its past 10 home matches against DC across all competitions.

Over/Under (O/U)

The OVER 2.5 (-150) is a steep cost, but it’s a good play. Both of these teams hit the Over 2.5 in their opener last weekend.

NASHVILLE SC (-155) is the play on its home pitch Saturday afternoon. CF Montreal (+400) looked good last weekend against Toronto, and it is a tempting play with a 4-to-1 payoff.

However, Montreal hasn’t started out 2-0-0 in five years, and it lost its only previous head-to-head match with Nashville by a 1-0 count Oct. 27, 2020. Roll with the home side.
