Preseason Bushnell/Golfweek Div. I Coaches Polls are released; Auburn is No. 1 in Div. I

The preseason Bushnell/Golfweek men’s college golf polls are out.

The preseason Bushnell/Golfweek men’s college golf polls for the 2024-25 season have been released.

After completing one of the greatest seasons in men’s college golf history in 2023-24, Auburn starts the new year as the No. 1-team in the preseason Bushnell/Golfweek Div. I Coaches Poll. The defending national champion Tigers received 14 first-place votes and 409 points on Aug. 30.

Arizona State (two first-place votes) is second, Florida State (one first-place vote) is third, with Vanderbilt and North Carolina rounding out the top five.

Virginia, Tennessee, Texas, Illinois and Florida complete the top 10.

After the latest round of confernece realignment, the Div. I poll features 11 SEC teams, six from the ACC, four from the Big 12 and four Big 10 teams.

2024-25 Preseason Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll

After winning the first national championship in school history in May, Colorado Christian is No. 1 in the Preseason Bushnell/Golfweek DII Coaches Poll. The Cougars received nine first-place votes and 430 points on August 30, six more than North Georgia (seven first-place votes and 424 points).

Oklahoma Christian (one first-place vote), West Florida, and Georgia Southwestern (one first-place vote) rounded out the top five, while Lincoln Memorial, Grand Valley State, Florida Southern (one first-place vote), Nova Southeastern and Central Oklahoma completed the top 10.

After winning the program’s second national championship in May, Dalton State is No. 1 in the Preseason Bushnell/Golfweek NAIA Coaches Poll. The Roadrunners received all 10 first-place votes and 250 points on August 30.

Keiser, Texas Wesleyan, British Columbia, and Lindsey Wilson rounded out the top five, while Columbia (MO), Houston-Victoria, MidAmerica Nazarene, Wayland Baptist and Ottawa Arizona completed the top 10.

After placing second at the national championship in May and winning six tournaments last season, Odessa is No. 1 in the Preseason Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA Div. I Coaches Poll. The Wranglers received one first-place vote and 55 points on August 30, nine more than Midland (46 points).

Defending national champion New Mexico JC (three first-place votes), Indian Hills and Hutchinson rounded out the top five, while McLennan, Central Alabama, Ranger, Western Texas, Dodge City, Eastern Florida State  and New Mexico Military Institute completed the poll.

After winning their last 13 tournaments last season, including the program’s second national championship in May, Mississippi Gulf Coast is No. 1 in the Preseason Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA Div. II Coaches Poll. The Bulldogs received three first-place votes and 39 points on August 30, two more than Kirkwood (one first-place vote and 37 points).

South Mountain (Arizona), Roane State and Des Moines Area rounded out the top five, while Parkland, Meridian, Murray State (OK), East Central and Iowa Central completed the poll.

These are the final Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Polls of 2022 for men’s golf in NJCAA Div. I and Div. II.

These are the final Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Polls of the spring 2022 men’s golf seasons for NJCAA Div. I and Div. II.

The Div. I season came to a close on Friday, May 13, at the 2022 NJCAA Division I Championship.

Meanwhile, the 2022 NCAA Division II Championship will take place May 16-20 at TPC Michigan in Dearborn, Michigan.

NJCAA Div. I

Hutchinson won the 2022 NJCAA Div. I Men’s Golf National Championship by 20 strokes at the Odessa Country Club in Odessa, Texas.

It’s the second straight national title for the Blue Dragons who finished 22 under. Odessa was second at 2 under, Midland CC was the only other team to finish under par at 1 under. New Mexico JC was fourth at even par and Eastern Florida State College was fifth at 5 over.

With this title, Hutchinson, located in Hutchinson, Kansas, also finished No. 1 in the final spring 2022 Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA Div. I Coaches Poll.

Determining the individual title required extra holes, as Midland (Texas) sophomore JT Pittman outlasted Hutchinson’s Dominic Clemons in a two-hole playoff to win medalist honors.

This top-10 poll reflects the order of finish at the 2022 national championship.

NJCAA Div. II

Mississippi Gulf Coast regains the No. 1 ranking in the final spring 2022 Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA Div. II Coaches Poll.

South Mountain (Arizona) collected four first-place votes, two more than MGC received, but it’s the Bulldogs sitting on top of the poll after garnering 63 total points compared to the Cougars’ 62.

The top five is completed by Kirkwood, which received one first-place vote, followed by Parkland and Meridian.

Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Polls for NJCAA Divisions I, II spring 2022

Midland is the No. 1-team in NJCAA Division I, while Mississippi Gulf Coast is No. 1 in Div. II.

After earning all six first-place votes, Midland is the No. 1-team in the first spring 2022 Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA Division I men’s golf coaches poll.

In the Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA Division II men’s golf coaches poll, Mississippi Gulf Coast is No. 1 but not by much, as South Mountain Community College in Phoenix got three first-place votes to MGC’s four and 64 total points to MGC’s 66.

Central Alabama is No. 2 in Div. I, up two spots from the final poll of the fall 2021 campaign. Hutchinson and Odessa are ranked 3rd and 4th while Eastern Florida State and Indian Hills are tied for fifth.

In the Div. II poll, Kirkwood, Parkland and Iowa Central are ranked 3-4-5.

Point University, Midland and Kirkwood CC sit atop NAIA, NJCAA Div. I and NJCAA Div. II polls, respectively for the week of March 26, 2021.

Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Polls for NAIA, NJCAA Div. I, NJCAA Div. II

Point (NAIA), Hutchinson (NJCAA Div. I) and Kirkwood CC (NJCAA Div. II) are the top teams in the latest Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Polls.

Point University has taken over the top spot in the latest Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Polls for NAIA.

Point University, located in West Point, Georgia, collected 11 first-place votes to remain in the top spot. Keiser and Wayland Baptist flipped positions, with Keiser the new No. 2 team in the poll. The College of Coastal Georgia stays firm at No. 4. Morning Side and Dalton State, tied for fifth in the last poll, are once again tied for fifth.

Hutchinson stays No. 1 in the NJCAA Division I, while Kirkwood CC remains atop the NJCAA Division II poll.
