Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres odds and lines, with MLB expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Milwaukee Brewers (44-33) and San Diego Padres (41-40) wrap up a 4-game set at Petco Park Sunday. First pitch is scheduled for 4:10 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Brewers vs. Padres odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: Padres lead 5-1

The Brewers lost 6-4 as -112 favorites in the 3rd game of the series Saturday as the Over (8.5) hit. Milwaukee is on a 3-game skid after winning 2 straight at the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Rookie CF Jackson Merrill hit a 3-run HR in the 4th inning for the Padres, who cashed as +104 underdogs. C Kyle Higashioka and SS Ha-Seong Kim also homered, helping San Diego win its 4th straight game.

Brewers at Padres projected starters

RHP Tobias Myers vs. RHP Michael King

Myers (4-2, 3.26 ERA) makes his 10th start and 11th appearance. The rookie has a 1.13 WHIP, 3.1 BB/9 and 8.0 K/9 in 47 IP.

  • Last start: Win, 6 1/3 IP, 0 R, 4 H, 2 BB, 6 K in 6-3 victory at Angels Tuesday
  • 2024 road stats: 3-2, 1.95 ERA (27 2/3 IP, 6 ER), 1.05 WHIP, 7.5 K/9 in 5 starts and 1 relief appearance
  • Has never faced Padres before

King (5-4, 3.49 ERA) makes his 16th start and 17th appearance. He has a 1.27 WHIP, 3.8 BB/9 and 10.4 K/9 in 87 2/3 IP.

  • Last start: No-decision, 4 2/3 IP, 1 ER, 6 H, 3 BB, 6 K in 4-3 loss at Philadelphia Phillies Tuesday
  • 2024 home stats: 1-2, 4.17 ERA (36 2/3 IP, 17 ER), 1.34 WHIP, 13.3 K/9 in 7 starts
  • 2024 vs. Brewers: 0-1, 1.17 ERA (7 2/3 IP, 1 ER), 2 H, 2 BB, 10 K in 1-0 road loss April 17
  • Career vs. Brewers: 0-1, 1.42 ERA (12 2/3 IP, 2 ER), 0.71 WHIP, 13.5 K/9 in 2 starts

Brewers at Padres picks and predictions

Prediction

Padres 3, Brewers 2

Moneyline

Normally in this spot, I would lean toward the team looking to avoid the sweep. However, the PADRES (-135) have been too profitable against the Brewers this season to fade, especially with King on the mound.

The 29-year-old right-hander has given up a total of just 2 ER in 2 career starts against Milwaukee, and he would’ve won the April 17 meeting if the Padres had given him at least mediocre run support.

BET PADRES (-135).

Run line/Against the spread

Milwaukee +1.5 (-185) will likely hit, but it’s hard to beat MLB long term betting into 35-cent lines.

PASS. Bet the ML and/or total instead.

Over/Under

Despite San Diego having the 4th-best Over record at home this season (23-17-1), runs may be hard to come by in this series finale due to the pitching matchup. King has allowed 2 or fewer runs in 5 consecutive starts, and Myers has allowed 1 or fewer in 3 straight.

LEAN UNDER 7.5 (+100).

Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres odds and lines, with MLB expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Milwaukee Brewers (44-32) and San Diego Padres (40-40) meet Saturday for Game 3 of a 4-game series. First pitch from PETCO Park is set for 7:15 p.m. ET (FOX). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Brewers vs. Padres odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: San Diego leads 4-1

San Diego beat Milwaukee 9-5 Friday while covering as a -154 home favorite. The Padres broke the 5-5 tie with 3 runs in the 7th and a final in the 8th to pick up the win. The Padres have won each of their last 3 games.

Reliever Hoby Milner came away with the loss for Milwaukee as he recorded 1 out but allowed 2 ER and 2 H with 0 K. The Brewers have lost back-to-back games.

Brewers at Padres projected starters

RHP Carlos Rodriguez vs. RHP Randy Vasquez

Rodriguez (0-2, 6.48 ERA) makes his 3rd start. He has a 1.92 WHIP, 3.2 BB/9 and 7.6 K/9 through 8 1/3 innings.

  • Last start: Loss, 4 2/3 IP, 4 ER, 6 H, 2 BB, 3 K in a 5-3 loss against the Angels Monday
  • First career start vs. San Diego

Vasquez (1-4, 5.70 ERA) makes his 10th start. He has a 1.69 WHIP, 1.9 BB/9 and 5.9 K/9 through 42 2/3 innings.

  • Last start: Loss, 4 1/3 IP, 6 ER, 12 H, 2 BB, 2 K in a 9-2 loss in Philadelphia Monday
  • First career start vs. Milwaukee
  • Home/road splits: 0-2, 4.43 ERA, 1.48 WHIP in 4 home starts vs. 1-2, 6.85 ERA, 1.88 WHIP in 5 road starts

Who’s going yard? Here’s a breakdown of today’s best home run props with our top picks. Include the BetMGM bonus code SBWIRE to score a $1,500 first-bet offer.

Brewers at Padres odds

Provided by BetMGM Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated 9:20 a.m. ET.

  • Moneyline (ML): Brewers -105 (bet $105 to win $100) | Padres -115 (bet $115 to win $100)
  • Run line (RL)/Against the spread (ATS): Brewers -1.5 (+155) | Padres +1.5 (-190)
  • Over/Under (O/U): 9 (O: -105 | U: -115)

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3012″ ]

Brewers at Padres picks and predictions

Prediction

Padres 8, Brewers 5

Moneyline

LEAN PADRES (-115).

San Diego has won 3 straight while the Brewers have lost back-to-back. The Padres are also 5-0 in their last 5 home games while Milwaukee is only 2-3 in its last 5 on the road.

This is a lean because both Milwaukee and San Diego are 5-5 in their last 10 overall and in their last 10 matchups against one another.

Run line/Against the spread

PASS.

I fully expect the Padres to cover here as +1.5 (-190) underdogs, but the line is far too risky to bet on. Bet on the moneyline and/or total instead.

Over/Under

BET OVER 9 (-105).

The Over has hit in each of San Diego’s last 3 home games. The Over has also hit in back-to-back Milwaukee-San Diego matchups and is 8-2 in the last 10 matchups overall.

Be aware that the Under is 5-3-2 in Milwaukee’s last 10 overall.

Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres odds and lines, with MLB expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Milwaukee Brewers (44-31) take on the San Diego Padres (39-40) Friday in the 2nd game of a 4-game set at Petco Park at 9:40 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Brewers vs. Padres odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: Padres lead 3-1

The Brewers made it interesting with 2 runs in the 9th to tie Thursday’s game, but they lost it on a walkoff 7-6. SS Willy Adames went 2-for-4 with his 13th homer and 2 RBIs. The Brew Crew is 6-4 over the last 10 games and 12-8 over the last 20.

Padres 2B Jake Cronenworth was the hero with a walkoff blast in the bottom of the 9th Thursday. But OF Fernando Tatis Jr. was the star. He went 4-for-5 with his 14th homer of the season as he looks to be back to his 2021 form. The Friars have won 2 straight after a 5-game losing streak.

Brewers at Padres projected starters

RHP Colin Rea vs. RHP Dylan Cease

Rea (6-2, 3.29 ERA) makes his 13th start and 15th appearance. He has a 1.23 WHIP, 2.8 BB/9 and 6.3 K/9 through 76 2/3 innings.

  • Last start: Win, 6 IP, 2 ER (3 R), 4 H, 1 BB, 6 K in 5-4 home victory Sunday against Cincinnati Reds
  • 1 career start vs. Padres: No-decision, 5 2/3 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 1 BB, 6 K in 4-3 road victory in 10 innings April 13, 2023

Cease (6-6, 3.96 ERA) makes his 16th start. He has a 1.07 WHIP, 2.7 BB/9 and 11.0 K/9 through 86 2/3 innings.

  • Last start: Loss, 3 2/3 IP, 7 ER, 7 H, 3 BB, 5 K in 11-6 defeat Sunday at New York Mets
  • 2 career starts vs. Brewers: 1-1, 2.08 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, 14 K in 13 IP

Who’s going yard? Here’s a breakdown of today’s best home run props with our top picks. Include the BetMGM bonus code SBWIRE to score a $1,500 first-bet offer.

Brewers at Padres odds

  • Moneyline (ML): Brewers +130 (bet $100 to win $130) | Padres -155 (bet $155 to win $100)
  • Run line (RL)/Against the spread (ATS): Brewers +1.5 (-160) | Padres -1.5 (+135)
  • Over/Under (O/U): 7.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3012″ ]

Brewers at Padres picks and predictions

Prediction

Brewers 5, Padres 4

Moneyline

Will the real Dylan Cease please stand up? If you throw out his magical 2022 season with a 2.20 ERA, he has ERAs of 5.79, 4.01, 3.91, 4.58, and 3.95 this season. His K-rate is still great, he has reduced his walks more than 1.0 per 9. He’s just getting victimized by the gopher ball. He has allowed 8 homers in his last 6 starts.

I like the BREWERS +130 here.

Run line/Against the spread

One prop really sticks out to me. Rea has 6, 4, 5, 5, 5, 2 and 5 K’s in his last 7 starts. He struck out 6 Padres in his only start against them.

Run to the app and take COLIN REA OVER 3.5 K’s (+115).

Play our free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under

The Over is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings between the teams. It’s 3-1 this season. With Cease struggling to keep the ball in the yard, I’m taking the OVER 7.5 (-115).

Season series: Padres lead 2-1

Milwaukee has won back-to-back games after taking down the Los Angeles Angels 2-0 Wednesday and cashing as a -180 road favorite. SS Willy Adames and 1B Rhys Hoskins each had an RBI. RHP Freddy Peralta allowed just 3 hits and 2 walks with 8 K’s in 6 innings.

San Diego snapped a 5-game losing streak Wednesday with a 5-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies as a +166 road underdog. C Kyle Higashioka led the way on offense with a bases-clearing triple in the 8th inning, while RHP Matt Waldron struck out 6 batters in 7 scoreless innings to pick up the win.

Brewers at Padres projected starters

RHP Bryse Wilson vs. RHP Adam Mazur

Wilson (4-3, 3.84 ERA) makes his 9th start and 18th appearance. He has a 1.25 WHIP, 3.4 BB/9 and 7.1 K/9 in 63 1/3 innings.

  • Last start: Win, 5 1/3 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 2 BB, 6 K in 3-1 home victory against Cincinnati Reds Saturday

Brewers at Padres picks and predictions

Prediction

Brewers 4, Padres 3

Moneyline

BET BREWERS (-105).

Milwaukee has won 4 of its last 5 games and scored 5 or more runs in 4 of its last 7. It has allowed 3 or fewer runs in back-to-back games and 5 of its last 9. The Brewers will open the series with a win against Mazur, who has struggled mightily in the majors.

Run line/Against the spread

PASS.

There is minimal value on the run line in this matchup.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 8.5 (-105).

The Brewers have failed to hit the Over in 8 of their last 10 games, including each of their last 5. They have scored 3 or fewer runs in 3 of their last 5 games while allowing 4 or fewer in 4 straight.

Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres odds and lines, with MLB expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Milwaukee Brewers (9-4) and San Diego Padres (7-7) continue a 4-game series Friday. First pitch at Petco Park is at 9:40 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Brewers vs. Padres odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: Milwaukee leads 1-0

The Brewers took Thursday’s series opener 4-3 in 10 innings. Milwaukee is 2-2 on its first road trip of the series, a 10-gamer that started with a 2-1 series loss at the Arizona Diamondbacks over the weekend.

The Padres have lost 2 games in a row and 3 of their last 4. San Diego banged out a .775 OPS in its first 10 games but has slashed a mere .181/.283/.299 (.582 OPS) across those 4 games.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3012″ ]

Brewers at Padres projected starters

LHP Eric Lauer vs. RHP Michael Wacha

Lauer (1-1, 7.71 ERA) is tabbed for his 3rd start of the 2023 season. He has a 1.82 WHIP, 4.8 BB/9 and 9.6 K/9 through 9 1/3 IP.

  • Current San Diego batters own an aggregate .858 OPS against him
  • Logged a 3.69 ERA and 1.22 WHIP in 158 2/3 IP last season but posted a 4.76 ERA over 81 1/3 IP on the road
  • Allowing 22 runs in 11 2/3 IP in spring training

Wacha (2-0, 3.00 ERA) makes his 3rd start. He has a 1.00 WHIP, 3.0 BB/9 and 9.0 K/9 through 12 IP.

  • Has run hot and cold through his first 2 starts, allowing 6 runs in his debut on April 1 and 0 R last time out on Saturday
  • Owns a 4.04 ERA and 1.30 WHIP across 227 career games

Brewers at Padres picks and predictions

Prediction

Padres 5, Brewers 4

Moneyline

A San Diego bounce-back seems likely, but getting value on the Padres at this price appears very unlikely. PASS.

Run line/Against the spread

The Over is a likable play here. The Padres figure as the most appealing side, but even there it is only palatable as a partial-unit play if the return goes up to +125. PASS.

Play our free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under

It will be a cool night in pitcher-friendly Petco Park. However, an outward breeze is expected and both starters are fly-ball pitchers. Lauer and Wacha have benefitted from favorable batting-average-on-balls-in-play (BABIP) figures over the last 2 seasons (2022-23). Put the Milwaukee bullpen (.244 BABIP) in that same bin through the first couple of weeks of this season.

The Milwaukee offense is about league average. A scuffling San Diego attack (4.26 runs per game, 23rd MLB) is on its best side against left-handers, and the Friars have good numbers against Lauer. The Padres have been hamstrung by a .200 batting average with runners in scoring position. That figure comes alongside an unlucky .200 BABIP.

The back ends of the bullpens are not in shape.

BACK THE OVER 8.5 (-115).

Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres odds and lines, with MLB expert picks and predictions.

The Milwaukee Brewers (26-16) meet the San Diego Padres (28-14) Tuesday for the second game of their 3-game series at Petco Park. First pitch is set for 9:40 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Brewers vs. Padres odds with MLB picks and predictions.

San Diego took the series opener 3-2 in extra innings Monday thanks to a walk-off RBI single by DH Jose Azocar in the bottom of the 10th inning.

The Padres are on a 5-game win streak and have won 8 of their last 10 games. The Brew Crew are 6-4 straight up (SU) in their last 10 contests but have lost back-to-back outings.

Brewers at Padres projected starters

RHP Corbin Burnes vs. LHP Blake Snell

Burnes is 1-2 with a 2.26 ERA, 0.83 WHIP, 1.4 BB/9 and 10.8 K/9 through 51 2/3 IP over 8 starts.

  • Last start: No-decision with 6 IP, 4 ER, 7 H, 2 HR, 0 BB and 5 K in 7-6 home win over the Atlanta Braves Wednesday.
  • 2021 vs. the Padres: 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA (12 IP, 4 ER), 6 H, 3 BB and 17 K across 2 starts.

Snell is 0-1 and will make his 2nd start this season. He took the loss Wednesday in a 3-0 defeat at the Philadelphia Phillies with 3 2/3 IP, 3 ER, 3 H, 1 HR, 3 BB and 5 K.

  • 2021 vs. the Brewers: Loss, 5-3, May 24 in Milwaukee with 3 2/3 IP, 5 ER, 5 H, 2 HR, 3 BB and 7 K.

Brewers at Padres picks and predictions

Prediction

Padres 3, Brewers 1

Money line

LEAN PADRES (+110) because I’ll buy stock in Snell vs. the reigning NL Cy Young winner and there’s a line freeze in the betting market since most of the action is on the Brewers (-135) but the number hasn’t budged off the opener according to Pregame.com.

Milwaukee is 6-8 SU vs. lefty starters and 4-4 SU in Burnes’ 8 starts while San Diego is 9-4 SU as a home favorite and 4-0 SU in its last 4 games as an underdog.

However, the Under is my favorite bet in this game hence the LEAN PADRES (+110).

Win your fantasy baseball league with BaseballHQ.com. For decades, BHQ has been helping players just like you win! Use the couple code SBW22 for 20% OFF full-season subscription. New customer offer; expires 6/30/2022. Subscribe today and start winning!

Run line/Against the spread

PASS with a “lean” to the Padres +1.5 (-165) because it’s the right side but a little too pricey. The Brewers are 4-12 RL as road favorites and the Padres are 12-4 RL as underdogs.

Over/Under

BET the UNDER 6.5 (+100) since both starters’ pitching peripherals are outstanding against tonight’s opponent and both lineups struggle against their respective opposing starters’ handedness.

Burnes has a 0.53 FIP, 42.2 K% and .141/.188/.170 expected batting average (xBA), wOBA (xwOBA) and slugging percentage (xSLG) slash line in 45 plate appearances (PA) against current Padres hitters, per Statcast.

Snell has a 2.80 FIP, 31.1 K% and .173/.280/.218 xBA-xwOBA-xSLG slash line in 45 PA vs. active Brewers batters.

Milwaukee’s lineup also scores just 3.7 R/9 vs. lefties compared to 5.3 against right-handers and San Diego’s lineup puts up just 4.2 R/9 vs. righties and 5.5 against left-handed pitching.

The Padres are 6-10 O/U as underdogs (1-4 O/U as home underdogs) and Petco Park is a very pitcher-friendly 28th in park factor.

The UNDER 6.5 (+100) is my favorite wager in this game.

The San Diego Padres (27-14) host the Milwaukee Brewers (26-15) Monday for the start of a 3-game series. First pitch at Petco Park is scheduled for 9:40 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Brewers vs. Padres odds with MLB picks and predictions.

Milwaukee had its 3-game win streak snapped Sunday in an 8-2 upset at home to the Washington Nationals but the Brewers are 6-4 overall in their last 10 games.

San Diego is 7-3 in the last 10 games, has won 3 straight series victories and has a current 4-game win streak that includes a 3-game sweep at the San Francisco Giants this past weekend.

The Brewers beat the Padres 5-2 in last year’s season series and had a plus-6 run differential in those meetings.

Brewers at Padres projected starters

RHP Adrian Houser vs. RHP Nick Martinez

Houser is 3-4 with a 3.22 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, 4.2 BB/9 and 7.7 K/9 in 36 1/3 IP over 7 starts.

  • Last start: Loss, 3-0, at home vs. the Atlanta Braves Tuesday with 6 IP, 1 R (0 ER), 4 H, 2 BB and 6 K.
  • 2021 vs. the Padres: 0-0 with a 1.86 ERA (9 2/3 IP, 2 ER), 6 H, 3 BB and 6 K across 2 starts.

Martinez is 2-2 with a 3.89 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 3.9 BB/9 and 9.3 K/9 in 34 2/3 IP over 6 starts and 1 relief appearance.

  • Last start: No-decision in a 7-5 loss at home to the Chicago Cubs May 11 with 4 IP, 5 ER, 4 H, 1 HR, 2 BB and 8 K.

Brewers at Padres picks and predictions

Prediction

Padres 4, Brewers 3

Money line

LEAN PADRES (-117) because their price is increasing due to sharp line movement, Martinez has the better swing-and-miss rates between the two starters and Houser has struggled on the road.

Martinez’s whiff rate grades in the 68th percentile and his chase rate is in the 92nd percentile according to Statcast, while Houser’s whiff rate is in the 18th percentile and his chase rate grades in the 41st percentile. Houser also has a 4.95 road xFIP (3.26 xFIP at home) and a 1.6% road K-BB% (13.8% K-BB% at home).

It’s only a LEAN PADRES (-117) because the Brewers hit better vs. right-handed pitching and have a more reliable bullpen.

Run line/Against the spread

PASS even though the Brewers are just 4-12 RL as road favorites but that’s appropriately accounted for in the pricing of the Padres +1.5 (-205). I’d rather dabble with San Diego’s ML and the Under than spend on this pricey RL.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 7.5 (-108) because this is a sharp total considering both starters are “bottom-of-the-rotation” guys.

But, Petco Park is 25th in run factor, aka a pitcher-friendly park, and it’s going to be a cool night in San Diego, which favors pitching. The Under has cashed in the last 5 Brewers-Padres meetings in San Diego and the Padres are 2-4 O/U in Martinez’s 6 starts.

San Diego’s lineup has struggled vs. right-handed pitching this season. The Padres rank 22nd in wRC+ (90) and 24th in both wOBA (.290) and hard-hit rate (28.0%) against righties, per FanGraphs.

It’s only a lean because we might get a better number closer to the first pitch. Otherwise, the UNDER 7.5 (-108) is my favorite bet in the Brewers-Padres meeting.

Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Wednesday’s Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres odds and lines, with MLB picks and predictions.

The Milwaukee Brewers (10-7) and San Diego Padres (10-9) play the finale of a three-game set Wednesday at 4:10 p.m. ET at Petco Park. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook‘s lines around the Brewers vs. Padres odds with MLB picks and predictions.

RHP Adrian Houser is the projected starting pitcher for the Brewers. He is 1-2 with a 3.14 ERA, 1.53 WHIP, 6.3 K/9 and 4.4 BB/9 over 14 1/3 IP through three starts. Houser is 0-2 with a 4.82 ERA in two starts on the road, and he allowed one unearned run with six hits, four walks and three strikeouts over five innings in a win April 10 in his only road start in St. Louis.

RHP Dinelson Lamet is the projected starting pitcher for the Padres. He was 3-1 with a 2.09 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, 12.1 K/9 and 2.6 BB/9 through 69 IP spanning 12 starts. Lamet will make his 2021 season debut after making his way back from an ulnar collateral ligament strain in his right elbow. He will be limited to 75-80 pitches.

  • Money line: Brewers +180 (bet $100 to win $180) | Padres -225 (bet $225 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Brewers +1.5 (-110) | Padres -1.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 7 (O: -120 | U: +100)

Prediction

Brewers 6, Padres 4

Money line (ML)

The BREWERS (+180) are worth playing as moderate underdogs as they look for the sweep. They have outscored the Padres (-225) by a 9-1 score through the first two outings. I like Milwaukee going up against Lamet, who could be a little rusty in his first start while working on a pitch count.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The BREWERS +1.5 (-110) are a decent play if you’re not feeling Milwaukee straight up. In three of Milwaukee’s past four losses they have been within one run.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 7 (-120) is the lean here after the Under hit in the first two in this series. The Over is 2-1 in Houser’s three starts to date with the opposition averaging 6.3 runs per game in those games. Look for the offenses to come alive a little in this series finale.

Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Tuesday’s Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres odds and lines, with MLB picks and predictions.

The Milwaukee Brewers (9-7) and San Diego Padres (10-8) play the second outing of a three-game set Tuesday at 10:10 p.m. ET at Petco Park. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook‘s lines around the Brewers vs. Padres odds with MLB picks and predictions.

RHP Corbin Burnes is the projected starting pitcher for the Brewers. He is 1-1 with a 0.49 ERA, 0.22 WHIP, 14.7 K/9 and 0.0 BB/9 over 18 1/3 IP through three starts. Burnes hasn’t walked a batter yet this season, and he has nearly been untouchable allowing just one earned run, one walk and four hits.

RHP Chris Paddack is the projected starting pitcher for the Padres. He is 1-1 with a 4.15 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, 6.9 K/9 and 4.2 BB/9 through 13 IP spanning three starts. Paddack is coming off his best start, allowing three runs – one earned – and two walks with four strikeouts over a season-high five innings in a win at Pittsburgh Thursday. He hasn’t allowed a home run this season.

  • Money line: Brewers +100 (bet $100 to win $100) | Padres -120 (bet $120 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Brewers +1.5 (-200) | Padres -1.5 (+170)
  • Over/Under: 6.5 (O: -120 | U: +100)

Prediction

Brewers 4, Padres 1

Money line (ML)

The BREWERS (+100) are a great play at even money, as Burnes has been nearly untouchable this season. He has allowed one run, and he is barely allowing any hits or base runners, either.

FANTASY BASEBALL: Serious about winning your league? Sign up for BaseballHQ.com to dominate the competition. Subscribe now!

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The Brewers +1.5 (-200) are a risky business, costing you two times your potential return. AVOID and just look to Milwaukee at even-money on the money line instead. It’s a much better value.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 6.5 (-110) is the lean, but play it very lightly with a quarter unit wager. The Under cashed in the opener with the same exact total of 6.5. The Under is 4-1-2 across the past seven for Milwaukee.

For San Diego, the Under has connected in each of the past three, while going 9-1 in their past 10 games at Petco.

Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Monday’s Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres odds and lines, with MLB picks and predictions.

The Milwaukee Brewers (8-7) and San Diego Padres (10-7) get going with the first part of a three-game Petco Park series Monday. First pitch will be at 10:10 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook‘s lines around the Brewers vs. Padres odds with MLB picks and predictions.

RHP Brandon Woodruff is the projected starting pitcher for the Brewers. He is 0-0 with a 2.12 ERA, 0.77 WHIP, 10.1 K/9, and 1.6 BB/9 in 17 IP over 3 starts this season. Woodruff was shaky in his season debut but has since allowed just 1 ER over 13 IP.

RHP Joe Musgrove is the projected starter for the Padres. Through 3 starts, Musgrove is 2-1 with a 0.47 ERA, 0.47 WHIP, 11.4 K/9, and 0.9 BB/9 through 19 IP. Monday’s turn at Petco marks Musgrove’s first home start since he tossed the first no-hitter in franchise history at the Texas Rangers April 9.

Brewers at Padres odds, lines, picks and prediction

MLB odds courtesy of BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports for a full list. Odds last updated at 1:55 p.m. ET.

  • Money line: Brewers +125 (bet $100 to win $125) | Padres -155 (bet $155 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Brewers +1.5 (-165) | Padres -1.5 (+140)
  • Over/Under: 6.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

Prediction

Brewers 5, Padres 4

Money line (ML)

The Padres are coming off an emotional, high-leverage series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Friars dropped two of three games, and they head into this series as losers of four of their last six.

The Brewers were solid in their first road trip of the year and were a decent nine away from home last summer. Woodruff has been a terrific pitcher on the road with a 3.29 ERA on a .604 OPS allowed for his career, and is a likable play with this much of an underdog tilt.

BACK THE BREWERS (+125).

FANTASY BASEBALL: Serious about winning your league? Sign up for BaseballHQ.com to dominate the competition. Subscribe now!

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The Padres have the much better bullpen and it’d be nice to have some cushion on the Milwaukee side but STEER CLEAR of any tag pricier than -150.

Over/Under (O/U)

TAG THE OVER 6.5 (-115) AS A LEAN. Both offenses are a bit undercooked with their early-season numbers, and the pitching numbers for both teams are slightly strength-of-schedule suppressed.
