A Michigan State basketball elite target in the 2023 class will officially be going elsewhere.

Four-star power forward Milan Momcilovic announced on Saturday that he will continue his basketball career at Iowa State. He picked the Cyclones over Michigan State, Virginia, UCLA and Minnesota.

Momcilovic is ranked as the No. 34 overall prospect and No. 8 power forward in the 2023 class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He’s also ranked as the No. 1 player from Wisconsin.

Michigan State basketball could be adding a big-time prospect to its 2023 class in the next week.

Four-star power forward Milan Momcilovic will reportedly announce his college decision before the Peach Jam begins next week, according to Chris Monter of College Basketball News. The Peach Jam will take place from July 17 – 24.

Momcilovic is considering only six schools currently: Michigan State, Iowa State, Louisville, Minnesota, UCLA and Virginia. There are no clear-cut favorites on 247Sports, with no crystal ball predictions logged for Momcilovic.

Momcilovic is ranked as the No. 34 overall prospect in the 2023 class. He’s also listed as the No. 8 power forward and No. 1 player from Wisconsin.

4-star PF Milan Momcilovic named MSU in his top six

Tom Izzo has put his recruiting hat on this summer, trying to make a lot of progress on Michigan State’s 2023 recruiting class. He made more progress in the class after being featured in the top six for one of the top power forwards in the 2023 class.

Milan Momcilovic is someone the Spartans have taken a strong interest in and are making a solid push to land his talents. The push by MSU has been working thus far, as he named MSU in his top six. Aside from MSU, Iowa State, Virginia, Minnesota, UCLA and Louisville were featured.

Momcilovic is a 4-star prospect that ranks as the No. 33 overall recruit in the class according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He would be a massive addition to the class to pair with Jeremy Fears.

Michigan State basketball has extended a scholarship offer to the top player from Wisconsin in the 2023 class.

Four-star power forward Milan Momcilovic announced on Thursday that he’s received a scholarship offer from the Spartans. Momcilovic hails from Pewaukee, Wisc. and plays for Pewaukee High.

Momcilovic is ranked as the No. 6 power forward and No. 41 overall prospect in the 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2023 class. He’s listed at 6-foot-8 and 190 pounds.

Michigan State is the 11th program to extend Momcilovic an offer thus far. The Spartans join Marquette, Iowa State, Minnesota, Creighton, Miami (FL), Northwestern, Ole Miss, UCLA and Xavier.
