2026 RHP Cayden King has committed to Texas A&M

Texas A&M baseball earns commitment from a talented 2026 RHP out of Murfreesboro, TN

Texas A&M baseball coaches Michael Earley and John Kelly landed a commitment from another pitcher to add to the future rotation. On Monday morning, pitcher Cayden King, out of Murfreesboro, TN, announced via social media that he will join the Aggies in Bryan, College Station.

King is a 6’5″ 215 junior already flirting with a 90-mph fastball and has a ridiculous curveball with a frame where size can still be added. He ended his sophomore campaign with a 6-1 record 69 Ks and a 1.4 ERA while being named to the All-District team.

He has the arm talent to sit in the 90s as he gets older and stronger, which no doubt will have the Aggie staff keeping a strong relationship with him to fend off any future recruiters looking for a powerful RHP.

Texas A&M junior outfielder is the No. 1 ranked 2025 MLB draft prospect

Texas A&M junior outfielder Jace LaViollete continues to receive high praise from MLB scouts

Texas A&M’s baseball program is under new management, as former hitting coach Michael “Mike” Earley is now the program’s newest head coach after Jim Schlossnagle left for Texas to join is close friend, Longhorns Athletic Director Chris Del Conte.

One of Earley’s primary jobs this offseason was to keep the 2024 roster intact, starting with star hitters Gavin Grahovic and Jace LaViolette, while ace pitcher Ryan Prager was slated to leave for the MLB. Well, credit to Earley’s relationship building, as all three paired with several other starters/reserves.

LaViolette’s skillset is undeniable, as the 6-6, 230 pound outfielder is built like a Texas A&M tight end, while possessing the power destroy any pitch. In just two seasons, the Katy, Texas native is just seven home runs away from breaking Daylan’s Holt’s career record.

While Aggie fans are certainly excited for him return to one of the stacked hitting lineups in the country, MLB scouts will be attending as many Texas A&M games as possible, as MLB Pipeline recently ranked LaViolette as the No. 1-ranked prospect ahead of the 2025 MLB Draft.

During his 2024 sophomre season, LaViolette hit .305 with 29 home runs (second most in program history), 78 RBI, while drawing an impressive 64 walks.

Texas A&M will open the 2025 season, participating in the Astros Foundation College Classic starting with a matchup against Arizona on Friday, February 28.

Texas A&M baseball has lost one of its star pitchers ahead of the 2025 season

Texas A&M LHP Shane Sdao will reportedly miss the 2025 season

Tough news regarding one of Texas A&M baseball’s star pitchers ahead of head coach Mike Earley’s first season leading the program: Incoming junior left-handed pitcher Shane Sdao will reportedly miss the 2025 season after recently undergoing surgery.

During the Aggies’ College World Series run this summer, Sdao injured his elbow during the Super Regionals vs. the Oregon Ducks and did not return for the rest of the postseason. Timing is everything, and according to TexAgs analyst Ryan Brauninger, Sdao’s attempt to rehab the injury did not go as planned, leading to his recent surgery to repair the ligaments.

This offseason, Earley’s efficient transfer portal success included adding more depth and star power to the pitching lineup, including for Long Beach State LHP Myles Patton, paired with the return of ace pitcher Ryan Prager, who opted to forgo his MLB future after being drafted by the Los Angeles Angels.

Given Sdao’s injury status, he will be eligible to redshirt this season for an extra year if he chooses.

Texas A&M baseball vs. Texas 2025 series destination has been announced

Texas A&M will head to Austin, Texas to face former head coach Jim Schlossnagle this season.

Texas A&M’s 2025 SEC baseball schedule amid the start of the Mike Earley head coaching era has been announced to the public, and the game that every fan has their eyes on is, of course, taking on rival Texas and former head coach Jim Schlossnagle.

Schlossnagle’s shocking exit took place just days after Texas A&M’s Game 3 loss to Tennessee in the National Title series. This triggered mass media chaos for a sport that rarely receives national coverage, as Schlossnagle openly berated a TexAgs reporter who asked him if the Texas rumors were legitimate beforehand.

However, knowing that Schlossnalge’s close relationship with Texas AD Chris Del Conte essentially solidified the move, the dust has settled, but the rivalry has never been stronger since.

For Texas A&M, former hitting coach Michael “Mike” Earley briefly left with Schlossnagle to Texas before returning to College Station to take over as the program’s new head coach, spurring nearly the entire 2024 roster to return, led by star hitters Jace LaViolette and Gavin Grahovic, while ace pitcher Ryan Prager returns to the mound.

Many of us thought this offseason that due to the drama, Schlossnagle having to return to Blue Bell Park for the series next season made the most sense, but it was revealed that Texas A&M will travel to the 40 acres on April 25-27.

For those upset about the destination, both fan bases readily travel, especially for the two-hour drive from College Station to Austin, Texas.

Nevertheless, get your popcorn ready because we’re in for quite the matchup.

The plans for Texas A&M to renovate Blue Bell Park are moving forward

Texas A&M head baseball coach Mike Earley confirms the $80 million renovation plans for Blue Bell Park are headed in the right direction.

There are big plans to expand Blue Bell Park over the next few years and an $80 million budget to turn the space into a premier college venue for baseball.

In a conversation with the Houston Chronicle Texas A&M head baseball coach Mike Earley spoke about how the renovations are moving forward.

“We’re in a really good spot, and I think a more motivated spot than we’ve ever been in, Everything is on track from everything I’ve been told, and it’s going to be great.”

A lot of excitement is brewing for an upgraded experience for the fans and with most of the College World Series team returning, expectations are at an all-time high. That only led to more reason to reiterate a need to move as fast as possible.

“Not only is the (renovation) going, it’s been accelerated,”

2025 Aggie baseball has a lot of pressure on their backs and all eyes will be glued to the screen every time they take the field.
