[jwplayer LOzzVBvn]

Michigan State is still alive for one of the state’s top prospects in the 2022 class in four-star safety Myles Rowser of Belleville, Mich.

Rowser announced his top four schools on Monday morning, including the Spartans, Kentucky, Arkansas and Alabama. As you can see, Michigan State is the lone midwestern school to still be in the running for Rowser.

Rowser is listed as the No. 3 prospect in Michigan for the class of 2022 and No. 131 overall recruit in the class, according to 247Sports. He’s also ranked as the No. 9 Safety in the class.

It’s unsure currently who is in the lead for Rowser, with crystal ball projections listing Arkansas and Michigan as the favorites. The Wolverines are apparently no longer in play, making the Razorbacks the potential leaders at the moment.

Michigan State cracks final four for 4-star ATH Dillon Tatum of West Bloomfield

MSU is joined by Michigan, Notre Dame and Baylor, with Wisconsin, Ohio State, Georgia, USC, and Penn State falling out of contention.

[jwplayer LOzzVBvn]

Michigan State is one of the finalists to land arguably the state’s top prospect for the class of 2022.

Dillon Tatum, a four-star athlete from West Bloomfield, narrowed down his list of schools he’s considering to four on Sunday and the Spartans made the list. Michigan State is joined by Michigan, Notre Dame and Baylor, with Wisconsin, Ohio State, Georgia, USC, Nebraska and Penn State falling out of contention for this top prospect.

Tatum is listed by 247Sports as the No. 5 prospect in Michigan for the class of 2022, and No. 269 overall in the country. He’s also ranked as the No. 16 athlete (ATH) nationally.

Being in contention for such a highly-touted recruit like Tatum is great to see for the Spartans. However, it may be hard for Michigan State to beat out in-state rivals Michigan for this heralded recruit. Tatum currently is projected to end up in Ann Arbor and his former high school coach — Ron Bellamy — joined the Wolverines’ coaching staff this offseason as an assistant coach. This of course doesn’t guarantee he’ll choose Michigan over Michigan State so still being in consideration is great to see for the Spartans.

Kenrich — who plays for Lakota East High — announced on Twitter on Saturday that he received a scholarship offer from the Spartans. Michigan State joins a handful of MAC schools, Purdue, Virginia Tech, Air Force, Navy, Duke and Vanderbilt to offer Kenrich.

As of right now, Kenrich is listed as a three-star prospect and ranked as the No. 20 overall prospect in Ohio for the class of 2022, according to 247Sports.

Kenrich considers himself an athlete — according to his Twitter account — so it’ll be interesting to see if Michigan State views him as a TE or D-Lineman. It is telling, however, that it was tight ends coach Ted Gilmore who Kenrich mentioned in his tweet on the scholarship.

Parachek is listed on 247Sports as 6-foot-5 and 225 pounds as only a sophomore in high school. Parachek is yet to be ranked by the recruiting service, but he definitely could end up being one of the highest-ranked prospects from the state of Michigan for the class of 2023.

Along with Michigan State, Parachek has received two other scholarship offers in the past week — Kentucky on Feb. 11 and Akron also on Wednesday.

Keep an eye on Parachek as he will surely be someone who will continue to gain interest from power five programs.
