A Michigan State target in the 2025 class has committed to another Big Ten squad.

Three-star defensive lineman Abu Tarawallie announced his commitment to Minnesota on Friday afternoon. Tarawallie is from Osseo, Minn. and was originally scheduled to visit Michigan State this upcoming weekend.

Tarawallie ranks as the No. 73 defensive lineman in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 2 player from Minnesota.

Michigan State was one of four finalists for Tarawallie. His other three finalists were Minnesota, Wisconsin and Kansas State.

Michigan State is one of three finalists for a three-star defensive lineman from Illinois.

Brad Fitzgibbon of Chicago released his top three schools list on Wednesday, which included the Spartans. Kansas and Iowa were his two other finalists.

Fitzgibbon is ranked as the No. 86 defensive lineman in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 855 overall prospect in the class.

Fitzgibbon holds offers from nearly 20 schools, according to 247Sports. He took an official visit to Michigan State this past weekend and has visits planned for Kansas and Iowa over the next two weeks as well.

The Spartans have extended an offer to an elite tight end in the 2026 class.

Brock Harris of Saint George, Utah has reportedly received a scholarship offer from the Spartans, according to Corey Robinson of 247Sports. Harris is a five-star tight end in the 2026 class.

Harris ranks as the No. 3 tight end and No. 24 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2026 class. He’s also ranked as the No. 1 player from Utah.

Harris received the offer during his recent visit to Michigan State this week, according to 247Sports. He holds offers from nearly 40 programs, including the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Miami (FL), Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M and USC.

Michigan State football will host an in-state wide receiver prospect in the next few weeks.

William Jones-Terrell of Clinton Township, Mich. announced on Wednesday that he intends on visiting Michigan State on June 17. Jones-Terrell is an unranked wide receiver that plays for Chippewa Valley High.

Michigan State has already extend an offer to Jones-Terrell in December. The Spartans are the only program to offer Jones-Terrell so far, according to 247Sports.

Michigan State football hosted one of the top players from Indiana in the 2026 class earlier this week.

Three-star quarterback Terry Walker III of Indianapolis announced on Monday that he visited Michigan State. He visited the Spartans with his family, according to a post from him on X.

Walker is ranked as the No. 37 quarterback in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports. He’s also listed as the No. 4 player from Indiana in the class.

Walker currently holds offers from Ball State and Miami (OH), according to 247Sports. Some other programs that have shown interest in Walker includes Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Louisville, Purdue and West Virginia.

An in-state three-star defensive lineman will reportedly take an official visit to Michigan State in a few weeks.

Derrick Simmons of Frankenmuth, Mich. will reportedly visit Michigan State on June 14. Allen Trieu of 247Sports reported the notable recruiting news.

Simmons is a three-star defensive lineman in the 2025 class and ranked as the No. 17 player from Michigan in the class. He’s also listed as the No. 83 defensive lineman nationally in the class.

Michigan State is one of more than 10 programs to extend an offer to Simmons, according to 247Sports. He also holds notable offers from Illinois, Purdue, Northwestern, Cincinnati, Boston College and Vanderbilt.

Three-star offensive tackle Rowan Byrne of New Rochelle, N.Y. will announce his commitment on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. ET. Byrne will is considering the following six finalists: Michigan State, Clemson, Penn State, Texas A&M, Stanford and Florida State.

Byrne ranks as the No. 42 offensive tackle in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 3 player from New York in the class.

Byrne is scheduled to take an official visit to Michigan State this upcoming weekend. But that could of course change should he commit elsewhere. He’s projected to pick Clemson, according to 247Sports.

Aydan West of Gaithersburg, Md. announced earlier this week that he’s received a scholarship offer from the Spartans. West announced the recruiting news on X.

West ranks as the No. 83 cornerback in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 942 overall prospect in the class.

West is currently projected to land at Virginia, according to 247Sports’ crystal ball predictions. He is also strongly considering Cincinnati, Wake Forest and West Virginia.

A Spartans target in the 2025 class could be inching closer to a commitment.

Three-star wide receiver Braylon Collier of Sandusky, Ohio fired off a tweet on Monday that could suggest he’ll be announcing his college decision later this week. Below is the post on X from Collier:

Collier is ranked as the No. 133 wide receiver in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 33 player from Ohio in the class.

Collier took an official visit to Michigan State this past weekend, and reports suggest it went very well. Collier is also expected to visit his other two finalists Iowa and Iowa State in the next few weeks, but that of course could change should he commit to Michigan State later this week.

Chase Collier of Jacksonville, Fla. is down to only three schools in his recruitment: Michigan State, Kansas and Baylor. Collier is a three-star prospect in the 2025 class.

Collier ranks as the No. 177 wide receiver in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class.

Collier is scheduled to take official visits to all three of his finalists over the next few weeks. Collier will be at Michigan State on June 14.
