Michigan State basketball is looking to add another prospect from Maryland, this time in the 2026 class.

Four-star combo guard Prince-Alexander Moody announced on Friday that he’s received an offer from the Spartans. Moody announced the offer via the social media platform X.

Moody is ranked as the No. 6 combo guard in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2026 class. He’s also listed as the No. 69 overall and No. 2 prospect from Maryland.

According to 247Sports, Moody has received offers from nearly 10 schools, including Michigan State. Other schools to offer him include Illinois, Maryland, Providence, Virginia Tech, Rhode Island, Old Dominion and Bryant.

One of the Spartans’ top targets in the 2025 class will be making his college decision next week.

Four-star power forward Cam Ward will announce his college commitment on October 22. The commitment will be live on the 247Sports channel, according to Adam Finkelstein.

Ward ranks as the No. 11 power forward in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class. He is also listed as the No. 50 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings.

Ward’s four finalists are Michigan State, Maryland, Virginia and Kansas State. At this time, Ward is projected to end up at Michigan State with a pair of crystal ball predictions in their favor.

Another big-time Spartans target in the 2025 class is going elsewhere.

Michigan State basketball struck out on another five-star prospect this past weekend, with small forward Dwayne Aristode committing to Arizona over the Spartans. Michigan State was one of a few schools considered in the mix for Aristode before he announced his decision to become a Wildcat.

Aristode ranks as the No. 4 small forward in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 18 overall prospect in the class.

Michigan State was finalists for three marquee five star recruits in the 2025 class but all three committed elsewhere. Jalen Harlason chose Notre Dame, Darius Adams chose UConn and now Aristode chose Arizona.

Michigan State currently has one commit in its 2025 class. That is four-star shooting guard Jordan Scott — who committed to Michigan State last week.

Michigan State basketball is set to host one of the top prospects in the 2026 class in a few weeks.

Five-star small forward Anthony Thompson will reportedly visit Michigan State on October 20. Thompson will also visit Ohio State, Michigan and Kentucky over the next few weeks.

Thompson ranks as the No. 3 small forward and No. 9 overall prospect in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2026 class. He’s also listed as the No. 1 player from Ohio.

Michigan State basketball is one of nearly 30 programs to extend him an offer, according to 247Sports.. Some of the other more notable programs to offer him includes Alabama, Auburn, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisville, Marquette, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, Texas, UCLA and Xavier.

Michigan State could be adding another big-time prospect from the DMV to its 2025 class soon.

On Thursday, Michigan State picked up a commitment from Virginia native four-star small forward Jordan Scott. And it now appears that the Spartans will add another big-time prospect in four-star power forward Cam Ward.

Michigan State picked up a 247Sports crystal ball prediction in their favor for Ward on Thursday. The crystal ball prediction came from a Maryland insider.

Ward ranks as the No. 11 power forward in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 50 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings.

Ward is set to announce his college decision on October 30. He recently announced his four finalists are Michigan State, Maryland, Virginia and Kansas State.

Michigan State basketball is one of only four schools still in the running for a big-time power forward in the 2025 class.

Five-star power forward Niko Bundalo is down to only four schools he’s considering, and Michigan State is one of them. He is reportedly also considering Ohio State, North Carolina and UConn.

Bundalo ranks as the No. 7 power forward and No. 26 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 4 player from California in the class.

Bundalo took an official visit to Michigan State in early September and has also visited each of his finalists as well. According to 247Sports, there is no clear favorite at this time for his commitment. There is also no known commitment date at this time for Bundalo.

Michigan State basketball hosted 4-star small forwards Cam Ward and Jordan Scott on official visits this past weekend, making a push to land both 4-star prospects. The Spartans are in good shape for Scott and are looking to do the same for Ward.

Now, Ward is down to four schools and the Spartans are in the mix to land the highly rated small forward. Alongside MSU, Kansas State, Maryland and Virginia were listed in Ward’s top four.

Ward is a 6-foot-8 small forward from Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Michigan State basketball is trending in the right direction for its first commitment of the 2025 class.

Four-star small forward Jordan Scott is going to announce his college decision on Thursday, and the Spartans picked up a 247Sports’ crystal ball prediction in their favor today. Michigan State insider Justin Thind submitted the prediction in the Spartans’ favor on Monday evening.

Scott ranks as the No. 11 small forward in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 52 overall prospect in the country.

Michigan State also picked up an On3 RPM prediction in their favor from insider Jason Killop on Monday. So there’s clearly some steam behind the Spartans’ chances of landing a commitment from Scott this week.

Scott will decide between Michigan State, Maryland and Virginia Tech. He took official visits to all three schools, with the Spartans getting the final visit this past weekend.

Scott ranks as the No. 11 small forward in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 52 overall prospect in the country.

Scott took an official visit to Michigan State this past weekend and it reportedly went well. Jason Killop of On3 submitted a projection in favor of the Spartans to land Scott’s commitment following the visit.
