You know what’s cool about this year in pro wrestling? We’re going right up to the last moment of 2023, just about, thanks to AEW holding Worlds End this Saturday on Long Island (almost said “in,” sorry Rob Wolkenbrod).

Before we get to that show, however, there’s one last hour of Rampage to sail through. Heck, maybe it will even add another match or two to the card, who knows?

Let’s enjoy these 60 minutes, starting right now.

AEW Rampage results:

  • Chris Jericho kicks off the show to “talk some stuff out” with Sammy Guevara ahead of Worlds End, mostly to ask him why he turned on Jericho and joined the Don Callis Family; Sammy gives his apology, Jericho asks him if they will reunite Le Sex Gods and they hug it out

  • Renee Paquette wants to talk to Daniel Garcia but mostly gets Matt Menard ranting, while Garcia promises they’ll get some payback against House of Black eventually

  • Ruby Soho def. Marina Shafir by pinfall thanks to a timely distraction by Harley Cameron; Saraya and Nyla Rose also get into it and Rose ends up chasing Saraya out through the crowd
  • The Don Callis Family, Big Bill and Ricky Starks deliver a message to their opponents in the eight-man tag match at Worlds End, and Bill confirms his Uncle Joe will be in the house
  • Paquette gives Willow Nightingale the time to clear the air with Kris Statlander, and they agree to face each other on Zero Hour, though Stokely Hathaway is worming his way into things as well

  • Wheeler Yuta def. Matt Sydal by pinfall to retain the ROH Pure Championship; after the bell, Danhausen confronts Yuta after the match and jokingly (we think) disqualifies Wheeler, who lays Danhausen out with a right hand and lays on more of a beating until Hook comes to the ring and chases him away
  • Top Flight and Action Andretti def. Orange Cassidy, Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta by pinfall

AEW Rampage results 11/3/23: Someone else is gunning for MJF

MJF has enough problems, but he may just have had another one find him on AEW Rampage.

It’s hard to feel too bad for MJF. He’s been AEW World Champion for a while now, has had some great matches this year, and even found true friendship thanks to Adam Cole.

But man, everyone wants what he has right now. His challengers are multiplying on what feels like a daily pace, so it should probably come as no shock if we said that someone else wants a shot at the Triple B.

Who, you say? Read on and all will become clear.

AEW Rampage results:

  • Penta El Zero Miedo def. Komander and El Hijo del Vikingo by pinning Komander
  • Sonjay Dutt explains why he extended an invitation to Ortiz to join his stable, but the members of that stable say they won’t need his insight for Jay Lethal to defeat Eddie Kingston and become the next ROH World Champion; Ortiz stops by and says he knows people were talking about him and he’d deal with them next week
  • The Gunns def. Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal by pinfall
  • RJ City tries to do the big return of Danhausen, but learns it’s actually next week

  • Saraya tries to reassure Ruby Soho that they’ll be fine without Toni Storm but does it in a very condescending way, and Ruby is still playing hard to get with Angelo Parker; speaking of Cool Hand Ang, Daddy Magic is upset with his partner for not hitting Chris Jericho with a bat but he says he’s going to be a friend for Daniel Garcia

  • Skye Blue def. Marina Shafir by pinfall
  • Darby Allin cuts a promo ahead of his matchup with Lance Archer on Collision, who gives it right back to Darby
  • Daniel Garcia def. Trent Beretta by submission, then gets on the mic to call out the biggest possible star, MJF, saying that even though there’s a lot of people gunning for him, none of them are as hungry as Garcia

AEW Rampage results 10/6/23: Komander is coming for Eddie Kingston

Full results for the Oct. 6, 2023 episode of AEW Rampage, where a No. 1 contender was found for Eddie Kingston’s ROH world title.

Have things calmed down a bit in AEW land? We mean relatively speaking, of course.

After three pay-per-views in less than two months, plus the Grand Slam show at Arthur Ashe Stadium plus the high profile debut of Adam Copeland, maybe AEW can catch its breath just a bit.

That doesn’t mean tonight’s AEW Rampage doesn’t have some interesting stuff planned, mind you. There’s a very intriguing four-way match to find a contender for Eddie Kingston. We’ll also see two of our favorites, Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida, join forces.

So let’s enjoy this hour of pro wrestling simply for what it is, shall we?

AEW Rampage results:

  • The Hardys (Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy) and Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta) def. Daniel Garcia, Jake Hager and 2point0 (Matt Menard and Angelo Parker) by pinfall
  • Renee Paquette talks to Eddie Kingston, who expects everyone competing for the right to challenge him for the ROH World Championship to “wild out”; Sonjay Dutt gets in his face to accuse him of disrespecting Jay Lethal, but Kingston says Lethal needs to prove himself before he gets a title shot … and then Stokely Hathaway arrives with a proposition for Dutt
  • A promo hypes the return of Danhausen “very soon”
  • Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta) def. Colt Stevens and Levi Shapiro
  • Paquette gets a close-up look at the finger-pointing between the former members of the Jericho Appreciation Society, who actually have Angelo Parker become the voice of reason
  • Komander def. Johnny TV, Penta El Zero Miedo and Lince Dorado to become No. 1 contender for the ROH World Champion (with Kingston on guest commentary)
  • Ortiz says he wanted to speak to Mike Santana eye to eye, questioning the authenticity of his tough guy persona and vowing to expose him
  • Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida def. Marina Shafir and Nyla Rose

AEW Dynamite results 08/30/23: Orange Cassidy wins but must face Mox at All Out

Orange Cassidy cut the most fiery promo of his career after the AEW Dynamite main event in Chicago.

Unlike AEW pay-per-views, which tend not to have too may matches promoted too far in advance, tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite from Chicago is shrouded in some mystery.

There could be … reasons for that. The scuttlebutt is that some talent experienced delays returning from London for All In. Tony Khan also reportedly told anyone who needed it that they could have this week off to attend Bray Wyatt’s funeral service, though that is now next week and could bring some people back into the fold for this Dynamite.

On top of that, CM Punk and Jack Perry are reportedly suspended following their run-in at All In. While Punk has been exclusively on Collision since that show started and almost certainly wouldn’t have been on tonight’s show, the uncertainty regarding his status for this weekend’s PPV could definitely be having a ripple effect on Khan’s plans.

All of which brings us back to Dynamite, which is the rare AEW Wednesday show without tons announced ahead of time. We know there will be a title match, with Orange Cassidy defending the AEW International Championship against Penta El Zero Miedo. The winner gets the gold, which is nice, but also has to face Jon Moxley Sunday, which is less nice.

We’ll also hear from Adam Cole, the loser of All In’s tremendous AEW World Championship title bout. Cole decided not to cheat to beat MJF, just as the champ passed up opportunities to take shortcuts to defeat him. Is he experiencing any remorse over his choices? We may learn that tonight.

Other than that, everything else for tonight’s show is, for now anyway, a surprise. Sometimes that’s fun, though, and we hope that’s the case for the second straight go home Dynamite in a row.

AEW Dynamite results from Chicago:

(scroll down for full details on any match or segment in bold)

  • Jon Moxley def. Komander by submission
  • A short promo video hypes up Orange Cassidy’s title reign, and the champ vows he’ll show Moxley he’s not the same man he was four years ago if they end up fighting at All Out
  • After All In, FTR finds the Young Bucks to see why they didn’t show respect after their match, but their conversation is crashed by Bullet Club Gold, who ends up setting up FTR and the Bucks vs. them in an eight-man tag match at All Out
  • Renee Paquette talks with Toni Storm, who claims to be happy for Saraya and now says she has no title and no friends
  • Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara iron some things out
  • Moxley says the person who leaves All Out with the belt will be the wrestler with the biggest bite
  • Eddie Kingston def. Wheeler Yuta by pinfall to retain the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship
  • After All In, MJF tells Adam Cole he’s taking a week off, and his partner says he deserves it
  • Paquette wants to talk to Guevara but is interrupted by Don Callis, who is quickly rebuffed by Sammy and told to get lost
  • Adam Cole gets a huge guilt trip laid on him by Roderick Strong and The Kingdom
  • Penta El Zero Miedo and Alex Abrahantes deliver a warning to Moxley
  • Kris Statlander, Hikaru Shida and Britt Baker def. Nyla Rose, Marina Shafir and Emi Sakura by pinfall, though Statlander gets attacked by Ruby Soho after the bell
  • A promo video hypes Shane Taylor, who will face Samoa Joe at All Out
  • Callis and Konosuke Takeshita go over strategy for Konosuke’s match against Kenny Omega at All Out
  • Daddy Ass confirms that he’s back, and The Acclaimed have a ribbon-cutting ceremony that introduces new, pink Trios title belts; the trio will defend their titles for the first time Saturday on Collision
  • Orange Cassidy def. Penta El Zero Miedo by pinfall to retain the AEW International Championship
  • Somewhat surprisingly, Cassidy takes the mic afterward, saying he’s in pain and so tired, but the title means everything to him.; Moxley joins him in the ring and the champ tries to take a shot at him, but he’s got nothing left and Mox simply sneers at him

AEW Rampage results: Darby Allin survives a Royal Rampage

The Royal Rampage and Kris Statlander defending the TBS Championship were the highlights of this week’s AEW Rampage.

There’s a normal episode of AEW Rampage, and then there’s one that includes a Royal Rampage. No normal battle royal here, as AEW needs something to do that utilizes the double-ring setup left behind by Blood and Guts.

So that’s what we’re going to be treated to tonight, with the red and blue rings in effect though the rules are pretty much the same otherwise: Get thrown over the top rope and have both feet touch the floor and you’re eliminated.

This one also serves as a vessel for some of AEW’s midcard storylines, which is a good way to do it. Oh, and the winner gets a TNT Championship shot, so there are real stakes involved as well.

Throw in an open challenge for one of the women’s titles and a team that everyone loves in trios action and you’ve got yourself a show. Let’s dive into this hour of Friday night wrestling and see what comes out of it.

AEW Rampage results:

  • Darby Allin wins the Royal Rampage, last eliminating Swerve Strickland despite interference by the Mogul Embassy
  • The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass def. QTV (QT Marshall, Aaron Solo and Johnny TV) by pinfall; after the match Anthony Bowens says they plan on taking home Trios gold Saturday night on Collision
  • Kris Statlander def. Marina Shafir by pinfall to retain the AEW TBS Championship

AEW Rampage results 05/26/23: Tag teams, trios take the pre-Double or Nothing stage

Check out the action from the final AEW Rampage before Double or Nothing in Las Vegas.

Maybe because AEW PPVs are several months apart, it sometimes feels like the stretch run to each one is longer than it should be. But that’s behind us now as Double or Nothing is Sunday night, meaning tonight’s episode of AEW Rampage is legitimately the last stop before the big event.

Unlike previous years, AEW chose not to do a live Rampage for Double or Nothing week this time out, meaning there are spoilers out there for what’s going to happen. Nevertheless, just like we did for the other wrestling show on TV tonight, we’re going to happily live blog this like it’s unfolding in real time. You can indulge us that, yes?

What we know is that this is going to be a tag team-heavy hour of action. The Acclaimed, who went from being the hottest duo in the sport to a bit of an afterthought as of late as a trio, will face a trio from Le Faccion Ingobernable. A big battle in the women’s division will see Britt Baker and Hikaru Shida join forces to battle Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir. And Best Friends will go up against a tag team that used to be part of The Firm but seems to be sticking together anyway, Big Bill and Lee Moriarty.

AEW Rampage results from Las Vegas:

  • Max Caster gets in a Fight Forever mention in his entrance rap and says Rush’s hair looks like pubes

  • The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass def. La Faccion Ingobernable by pinfall
  • After the bell, Anthony Bowens says they’ve been running through the trios division all month long so they’re looking to challenge House of Black on Sunday
  • Ethan Page and The Gunns def. Frescomatic, Watson and Jeaux Braxton by pinfall
  • Page says he hopes the Hardys were watching as they just showed the world what a real trio can do, boasting about taking out Brother Zay and implying their match will be three on two … but Matt and Jeff say they’ll delete those egos Sunday, but even though Brother Zay isn’t cleared for Double or Nothing, he’s found a replacement: Hook; the heels want no part of them for now

  • Keith Lee and Dustin Rhodes are told that Swerve Strickland and Brian Cage will be in the Blackjack Battle Royal, and Lee’s response is simple: Can’t wait
  • Britt Baker and Hikaru Shida def. Marina Shafir and Nyla Rose by submission as Baker taps out Shafir with the Lockjaw, but …
  • … The Outcasts are shown on the big screen beating up on Jamie Hayter backstage, probably calling her participation in Double or Nothing even more into question

  • Big Bill and Lee Moriarty def. Best Friends by pinfall, then all heck breaks loose as the participants from the Blackjack Battle Royal start brawling; Orange Cassidy comes out to check on his friends, followed by Brian Cage, Keith Lee, Dustin Rhodes and Swerve Strickland, who taunts Lee as the show goes off the air

Opening Bell: Crown Jewel approaches, All-Atlantic 3-way on Dynamite

Get set for the week in WWE and AEW with Opening Bell: quick previews of Raw, SmackDown, Dynamite and Rampage.

Welcome to the Opening Bell, where we round up what’s been announced for WWE (Raw and SmackDown) and AEW (Dynamite and Rampage) programming for the week we’ve just begun.

WWE Raw preview – Monday, October 31, American Airlines Center, Dallas

Happy Halloween, everyone! As WWE prepares to head overseas for Crown Jewel (and some of its talent is already in Europe for house shows in the meantime), there’s still some business to attend to first. Fans in Dallas should prepare to acknowledge the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, as he will be on hand. While he’s tried to get the Bloodline on the same page in recent weeks, there are still some cracks in the group’s foundation? Can he get them repaired before he faces Logan Paul?

Brock Lesnar is also being advertised for this week’s show. The Beast Incarnate has a big showdown with Bobby Lashley awaiting him in Saudi Arabia, and while the two men have already traded blows, Lesnar may have a a chance to get in the final word before Saturday.

Here’s what else WWE has in store for Halloween night on Raw:

AEW Dynamite preview – Wednesday, November 2, Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena, Baltimore

Dynamite returns to Baltimore this week with not one, not two, but three title matches. Orange Cassidy finally won his first AEW singles gold by claiming the All-Atlantic Championship, but he’ll have to work hard to keep it (which isn’t really his style) in a three-way dance with two very different opponents, Luchasaurus and Rey Fenix.

Chris Jericho has vowed to take out anything to do with ROH, including past champions, so he’ll put the ROH World Championship on the line against a mystery former champ. And Jade Cargill will try to fend off a familiar challenger for her TBS Championship in the form of Marina Shafir.

Plus AEW has promoted more for this week’s Dynamite, including:

WWE SmackDown preview – Friday, November 4, Enterprise Center, St. Louis (recorded on October 28)

Yep, this episode of SmackDown was pre-taped last week because talent and crew members need to be in Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel on Saturday. That means that spoilers for exactly what happens on this show are already out there on the internet.

If you’d rather be surprised by outcomes but still want to know what to expect on SmackDown, keep reading:

[listicle id=15371]

AEW Rampage preview – Friday, November 4, Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City

In a bit of role reversal, it’ll be a live episode of Rampage following a pre-taped SmackDown instead of the other way around. The most notable name on the show might not even be one of the wrestlers, as boxing legend Mike Tyson (who has worked with AEW before) is set to join the announce team.

In terms of matches, all we know for sure is that whoever emerges from the three-way dance on Dynamite with the All-Atlantic Championship can pick a dream opponent for Friday night. If that’s Cassidy, it will be a busy week for Freshly Squeezed, which might not be something he’d prefer. We’ll find out Wednesday night.

AEW Rampage quick results: Royal Rampage finds a challenger for Jon Moxley

Get quick AEW Rampage results for the July 1 episode from Detroit, taped on July 29 after Blood and Guts.

What do you do with two wrestling rings that are in Little Caesars Arena for Blood and Guts? Make use of them during the AEW Rampage taping, of course.

The Royal Rampage that starts off this particular episode of Rampage comes with real stakes, as the winner gets a shot at Jon Moxley and his interim AEW World Championship. That’s a prize worth outlasting a bunch of other wrestlers to claim, for sure, and figures to take up a big chunk of this week’s show.

Also announced for this card are a tag team match between the Young Bucks and the NJPW duo of Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi, and a showdown between Nyla Rose and Toni Storm. Let’s get to it.

AEW Rampage results in 30 seconds:

  • Brody King wins the Royal Rampage, last eliminating Darby Allin, to earn a shot at Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley
  • Hook tells Alex Marvez that “anything essential is invisible to the eyes,” which kind of counts as an interview
  • Young Bucks def. Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi by pinfall
  • ROH champion Jonathan Gresham announces that his tag team match with Lee Moriarity against Tully Blanchard Enterprises, and Gresham says his name should be mentioned in any conversation about who is the best technical wrestler in the world
  • Toni Storm def. Nyla Rose by pinfall, and gets help from Thunder Rosa to fight off a post-match attack by Rose and Marina Shafir
