Here are the Broncos’ linebacker ratings in ‘Madden NFL 24’

Broncos ILB Josey Jewell is rated 80 OVR (up from 76 last year) and Alex Singleton is rated 79 OVR (up from 72 last year) in ‘Madden.’

(EA Sports, Madden NFL 24)

EA Sports has released player ratings for “Madden NFL 24” and we now know the ratings for every Denver Broncos inside linebacker in the popular video game.

Josey Jewell is the team’s best linebacker with an 80 overall rating. Fellow starter Alex Singleton is the second-best with a 79 OVR rating.

Those represent notable rating increases for both Jewell and Singleton, who were rated 76 and 72, respectively, in last year’s version of “Madden.”

Broncos rookie Drew Sanders and vet Jonas Griffith are both rated 72 OVR this year. Justin Strnad rounds out the team’s ILB depth with a 64 OVR rating. Griffith was 69 OVR last year and Strnad was 64 OVR.

Singleton has the best tackle rating (92) among the team’s linebackers, followed by Jewell (89), Griffith (83) and Sanders (78). Strnad’s tackle rating is 75.

EA Sports did not include Seth Benson or Ray Wilborn on the Broncos’ roster, so neither of them have ratings in “Madden” yet.

“Madden NFL 24” will be released on August 15.

Brian Burns: Madden ratings are trash

Panthers LB Brian Burns on his 87 Madden rating: Madden ratings are trash

[anyclip pubname=”2103″ widgetname=”0016M00002U0B1kQAF_M8221″]

Another Carolina Panthers player does not agree with his “Madden NFL 24” rating. This latest dispute, however, is a tad more to the point.

Not too long after cornerback Jaycee Horn called his numbers “wild,” outside linebacker Brian Burns simply had this to say about the EA Sports product:

“Yo, Madden ratings are trash.”

Those blunt words were spoken by the two-time Pro Bowl pass rusher on Friday’s episode of the “Caps Off” podcast. Burns, who was ranked an 87 in this year’s edition, said he doesn’t concur with his mark.

“First of all, I don’t understand, ’cause I was an 88 last year,” he replied. “I don’t know how it went down. I had all personal bests this past season. I topped every number in basically every category almost. But that don’t make sense to me, one. And then two, I’ve been like an 87, 88 the past two years.”

The explosive edge defender recorded career-highs in sacks (12.5), tackles (63), tackles for a loss (17), quarterback hits (22) and pressures (68) in 2022. Yet, as he argued, Burns somehow came in a point under this time around.

Luckily for the 25-year-old, the numbers that really matter are going to look pretty good pretty soon.

4 most egregiously underrated Panthers in ‘Madden NFL 24’

Excuse us, EA Sports. We’d like to speak with your manager about some of these Madden ratings.

This past week, EA Sports unveiled the player ratings for its upcoming title “Madden NFL 24.” And, uh, we’re not really feeling some of the grades for the Carolina Panthers.

Here are the team’s four most egregiously underrated players:

Here are the TE/FB ratings for Broncos players in ‘Madden NFL 24’

Greg Dulcich didn’t get much love from EA Sports. He’ll go into the 2023 season with a 74 overall rating in “Madden NFL 24.”

(EA Sports, Madden NFL 24)

EA Sports revealed tight end and fullback ratings for “Madden NFL 24” last week, and the ratings were not kind to the Denver Broncos.

Greg Dulcich is the team’s highest-rated TE and he’s only 74 overall (a slight increase from 70 OVR last year). Up next is new arrival Adam Trautman at 72 OVR, followed by fullback Michael Burton at 71 OVR.

EA Sports has blocking tight end Chris Manhertz (69 OVR) rated above Albert Okwuegbunam (OVR) and Tommy Hudson (62 OVR).

EA Sports continues to be too lazy to include long snapper as a position in the game, so Mitchell Fraboni is thrown in with the tight ends and given a dismal 32 OVR rating. In real life, every team in the NFL carries a dedicated long snapper on the roster. It’s ridiculous that “Madden” doesn’t include the position in its popular NFL video game.

Cardinals rookie LB is fastest LB in ‘Madden 24’

Owen Pappoe’s 93 speed rating is the tops among linebackers in the new Madden game.

Player ratings have been released by EA Sports for the new “Madden NFL 24.” One important rating in the game is speed.

One Arizona Cardinals linebacker has it in spades.

Rookie linebacker Owen Pappoe, selected in the fifth round by the Cardinals in the 2023 draft, has the highest speed rating among all linebackers in the video game this year.

He has a 93 speed rating.

Pappoe’s athletic numbers at the NFL combine were off the chart.

Pappoe will get to potentially compete for a starting linebacker job as a rookie alongside Kyzir White, but at minimum should make an impact on special teams.

But with that speed on the video game, putting him on the field on defense should be fun.

Former Longhorn Bijan Robinson’s Madden rating revealed

Is his rating too high or too low?

Bijan Robinson will certainly go down as one of the best and most memorable Longhorns of this generation, but unfortunately for Texas fans his time in Austin is up.

The former five-star running back departed Texas following a spectacular season in 2022 that saw him being named an unanimous All-American, while also winning the Doak Walker award. Upon leaving Texas for the NFL, he was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons with the No. 8 overall pick.

Over the past few days, NFL players have learned their ratings for the popular game, Madden. While you would think that professional athletes wouldn’t care about their rating, seeing a player react to their rating which they often think is too low has become one of the best parts of the game throughout the years.

Robinson got a pretty strong rating of 81, which isn’t high enough to have him ranked within the top-10 backs in the game but he did acquire a rating of 86 for breaking tackles. A number that is just two shy of Saints running back Alvin Kamara. However, an interesting comparison is last year’s rookie class who didn’t have a single player with an 80 or above rating to start.

Most Texas fans will be expecting Robinson to thrive in the NFL thanks to his skillset and an offense that is catered to him, so don’t be shocked when his overall ranking ascends.

Here are the Broncos’ punter and kicker ratings in ‘Madden NFL 24’

Based on their ratings, Broncos punter Riley Dixon is a better option for field goals in ‘Madden 24’ than kicker Elliott Fry.

EA Sports released player ratings for “Madden NFL 24” last week and the ratings are not kind to the Denver Broncos’ specialists.

Broncos kicker Elliott Fry has a low overall rating of 64. He actually has a high kick power rating of 90, but his kick accuracy is only 66.

Meanwhile, Denver punter Riley Dixon is rated 75 overall. He has a decent kick power rating of 93 and a kick accuracy rating of 79. By those metrics, Dixon would actually be a better option for field goals than Fry if playing with the Broncos in the video game.

Dixon’s overall rating is tied for 18th among punters in “Madden” this year. Fry has the second-worst ratings among kickers in the game, only ranking above Trey Wolff (63 overall) of the Tennessee Titans.

Elsewhere on special teams, the club’s long snapper, Mitchell Fraboni, is listed as a tight end in the video game with a terrible rating of 32 overall. “Madden” doesn’t include long snapper as a position so all of the NFL’s long snappers are listed as tight ends with terrible ratings.

Note: The Broncos are expected to sign kicker Brett Maher, but his one-year deal is not yet official.

DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett do not make Top 10 highest rated WR in Madden 24

Despite being widely recognized as one of the best pairs in the league, neither DK Metcalf or Tyler Lockett cracked into the Top 10

When it comes to announcements about the latest edition of the popular Madden video game franchise, nothing is more controversial than player ratings. It is a surefire way to get fans debating immediately when they see where their favorite players are ranked… or more importantly, where they perhaps should be ranked.

Take for example the Seattle Seahawks’ star wide receiver duo. Despite being widely recognized as one of the best pairs in the league, neither DK Metcalf or Tyler Lockett cracked into the Top 10 for highest rated wide receiver in the upcoming game.

Instead, Lockett and Metcalf came in at No. 15 and No. 17, respectively, with respectable ratings of 89 and 88.

Annoyingly, a pair of NFC West division rivals make the list ahead of Metcalf and Lockett. San Francisco’s Deebo Samuel is tied with Lockett, but both trail Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp – who is back in the Top 10 after an injury riddled season.

Of course, Madden constantly adjust player ratings as the season goes along. Should the Seahawks offense get off to an explosive start, there’s no doubt these high-80’s ratings will increase.

Every Jaguars player’s rating for launch of ‘Madden NFL 24’

Four Jaguars players — Josh Allen, Tyson Campbell, Christian Kirk, and Calvin Ridley — are tied for the highest rating on the team.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are a favorite to defend their AFC South crown, but it’d be hard to tell by looking at the ratings for the team’s players on EA’s “Madden NFL 24.”

While five players in the NFL — Aaron Donald, Justin Jefferson, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Zack Martin — have perfect 99 ratings, no player on the Jaguars roster is currently above 85.

That’s subject to change a lot over the coming months, as EA frequently updates player ratings based on their performance. For now, here are the initial ratings for every Jaguars player ahead of the Aug. 15 launch of “Madden NFL 24.”
