Ohio State football All NFL Madden 24 team, Defense

If we put a Madden 24 NFL team together of just former Ohio State players on defense. Here’s what it would look like. #GoBucks

One fun talking point around football circles is answering the question of what would happen if college football programs each had an NFL team of their alumni.

Between Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, LSU, Clemson, and more, there would be some strong teams. Each program has good options for quarterbacks and talent at every position group.

We just did an article outlining what the Buckeyes’ all-NFL Madden 24 offense would be and today we focus on the defensive side of the ball.

When breaking down each position group of this defense it’s clear that it would project as one of the best defenses in the NFL. There is star talent across the board and no real weak spot to exploit.  Here’s how what it would look like.

Ohio State football All Madden 24 team – Offense

We kick off our All Madden 24 Ohio State football team starting with the offense. #GoBucks

The release of Madden NFL player ratings always ignites debates around the football world. The ratings tend to draw criticism from fans and even from players themselves.

This was no different this year as the Madden 24 ratings were recently released. While the ratings are far from perfect, they’re still a good way to evaluate players and teams. These ratings featured a total of 60 former Ohio State players. The ratings are a good way to evaluate which college program has the best alumni in the NFL.

Former alumni of college programs like Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, LSU, and Clemson all have a very good collection of former players in the NFL right now.

It’s always fun to compile a list of players that would be on an All-Ohio State NFL team based on Madden 24 ratings, starting with the offense for this year’s team. Feel free to replicate and dominate the beloved game.

Madden 24 ratings for every Patriots wide receiver

How did EA Sports rate the Patriots’ receiving corps in “Madden NFL 24”?

The New England Patriots’ wide receiver position has probably been the most contentiously debated amongst fans. So it’s no surprise there has been plenty of excitement surrounding the “Madden NFL 24” player ratings reveal at the position.

After losing Jakobi Meyers in free agency, the Patriots brought in JuJu Smith-Schuster to join the likes of DeVante Parker, Kendrick Bourne and Tyquan Thornton.

None of those names jump off on paper exactly as a true No. 1 receiving option, but they are all quality targets for Patriots quarterback Mac Jones. Will it be enough firepower to compete in an AFC East division that’s arguably the best in football?

Good luck with that.

Here’s a look at the ratings for every Patriots receiver on the roster for the upcoming “Madden NFL 24” video game:

Madden 24 ratings for every Patriots cornerback

Did Madden get it right this year with the Patriots’ cornerbacks?

The New England Patriots are expected to enter the 2023 season with one of the NFL’s most versatile defensive backfields. But does EA Sports’ “Madden NFL 24” player ratings reflect it?

That was one of the biggest questions when the video game’s cornerback ratings were released.

To be fair, it’s no surprise that the Patriots’ defensive playmakers continue to fly under the radar, especially after the team finished with a losing record and missed the playoffs last season.

Jonathan Jones is one of the most underrated cornerbacks in the entire league, and Jack Jones is still relatively unknown in his second year. Meanwhile, rookie first-round draft pick Christian Gonzalez has yet to even take his first NFL snap.

The unit also has Marcus Jones, who earned a first-team All-Pro nod as a returner in 2022.

There is some high-level potential for coach Bill Belichick and the Patriots to tap into this season, even if it isn’t reflected in the recent ratings reveal. Here’s a look at the Madden 24 ratings for every Patriots cornerback:

How does Madden NFL 24 view Commanders QB Sam Howell?

What are Howell and Jacoby Brissett’s Madden ratings?

Sam Howell is the leading contender to be the Washington Commanders starting quarterback in 2023.

Howell has appeared in one NFL game, in which he completed 11 of 19 passes for 169 yards, with one touchdown and an interception. He also rushed the ball five times for 35 yards and another touchdown.

Howell will be in competition with veteran Jacoby Brissett to be Washington’s starting quarterback this summer. After a strong spring, Howell heads into camp as “QB1” but must win the job from the capable and experienced Brissett.

While there are many metrics in which we can view Howell, a popular one is his “Madden” rating. That’s right, believe it or not, players care — and so do fans — about “Madden” ratings.

Last week, EA Sports revealed its initial ratings for “Madden NFL 24” which will be released next month. Defensive tackle Jonathan Allen and wide receiver Terry McLaurin were Washington’s highest-rated players at 92.

Daron Payne was rated far too low, and he noticed.

As for Howell, his “Madden” rating is 66. It’s tough to dispute a rating after only one game, but where we have questions is that five rookie QBs were all ranked ahead of Howell, including Will Levis and Hendon Hooker.

There’s a good chance Howell doesn’t care about his rating. Howell seems kind of unflappable, which many view as one of his strengths.

What was Brissett’s rating? He was given a 72 rating, below Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud. Now that’s silly. Brissett should be rated higher than Howell and all five rookies.

Oh well, Howell has an opportunity to change that rating beginning in Week 1.

The annual reveal has become a favorite among sports fans, if not for the discovery of which athletes have garnered that elusive 99 grade, then for the humorous reactions to players that feel they were unjustly rated lower than they deserve. Let’s be real, how do these rookies justify being graded higher after not playing a single NFL snap yet?!

Here at Aggies Wire, we’re of course keen to find out how every former Texas A&M Aggie graded out in this year’s iteration of the video game. Over the years, College Station has sent elite talents to the NFL such as Von Miller, Myles Garrett, and Mike Evans. Packers WR Christian Watson is one of top 10 fastest players on ‘Madden NFL 24’

Speed. Kills. Packers WR Christian Watson has 96 speed in the new “Madden NFL 24” video game.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson will be one of the fastest virtual players in “Madden NFL 24.”

Watson, who has 96 speed, is tied with Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, Jets receiver Mecole Hardman, Browns receiver Anthony Schwartz, Raiders cornerback Jakorian Bennett, Jets cornerback Javelin Gaudry, Vikings cornerback Kalon Barnes and Patriots receiver Tyquan Thornton for the eighth-fastest speed rating in the video game at launch. He is the fastest Packers player on the game.

Watson ran the 40-yard dash in 4.36 seconds despite standing 6-4 and weighing over 200 pounds at the 2022 combine. By size, Watson’s 40-yard dash time ranks in the 97th percentile by Relative Athletic Score. His 10-yard split of 1.45 seconds ranks in the 99th percentile.

Watson used his blazing speed to create a number of big plays as a rookie, including a 63-yard catch-and-run touchdown from quarterback Jordan Love in Philadelphia. He had nine plays over 20 yards, including four touchdowns of at least 39 yards.

Expect to create plenty of long touchdowns when playing with Watson and the Packers in this year’s Madden:

How Madden NFL 24 rates every New Orleans Saints defensive lineman

Madden NFL 24 revealed player ratings for the New Orleans Saints defensive line, with a wide gulf between Cameron Jordan and his teammates:

The developers at EA Sports revealed player ratings for the New Orleans Saints defensive line in Madden NFL 24, with a wide gulf separating Cameron Jordan from his supporting cast. Jordan is the only Saints defensive lineman to earn a grade over 80 in the version of the game accessible to fans at launch; every other player in the position group, including top rookies Bryan Bresee and Isaiah Foskey, carry ratings at 73 or lower. That’s not great.

It’s on them to turn that narrative around and prove why the Saints have invested so many resources in them. Here’s how they all stack up:
